Cemerlang
Th room and common areas were super clean, the hotel feels fresh and new, everything works, and the room had plenty of outlets and charging ports. The beds and bedding were comfortable, the blackout shades darken the room completely, the hot breakfast was included. This Holiday Express & Suites sets the standard for what mid-range hotels of this type should be striving for.
We stayed overnight during our recent trip to WisDells. This is our second time staying at this property. The first time was the same time in 2023( Labor Day weekend). The hotel was only 4 days old that time and the property was not even listed on TripAdvisor. Highlights: -Nice choice if you are visiting Dells. I know the hotel is 15mins.drive from Dells and other attractions(waterparks etc.) but still a great choice if you want a quiet location. -New property(peaceful, fresh air, country vibe). -Walking distance to many fast food restaurants and even a Walmart. -Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. -Small pool and is perfect for kids. -Free car parking. -Front desk staff were very friendly. Thanks to Devon at the front desk for taking care of our requests at the time of check-in. If you like running/walking outdoors, there are long stretches of sidewalks on South Blvd. going toward Baraboo downtown. You will pass through the National Army Guard tanker, art work, some historical buildings etc. Giving 4Stars only because of the breakfast experience. They seem to run out of basic supplies such as milk, yogurt etc. and are not prepared for managing the crowd spikes properly. The hotel should be prepared and ready when they are anticipating to get sold out. Some of the guests waited a long time for coffee that never came and they simply left. We had experienced the same issue last year as well and I recall having detailed conversations with Sharon, Duty Manager. Breakfast options can also be improved(based on our experiences with other Fairfield properties). Luggage carts will be a great addition in the front desk area for your guests to use. Overall comfortable stay(except for the breakfast experience). We will certainly return next time we are in WisDells. Thanks Fairfield team!
This hotel is brand new and very pleasant. The pool and gym were nice. I REALLY appreciated the breakfast because it was gluten free and catered to me. I enjoyed the egg white fritatas and chicken sausage. There were also other options such as pancakes, yogurt, fruit and oatmeal. The room was lovely. Not a big deal but the shampoo was empty. Since I just stayed one night, I used my own but I have this issue with Hilton hotels where the amenities are not refilled. We would definitely stay here again.
My partner is a patient at Mayo Clinic, so sometimes we stay in the Dells on our way to Rochester. When I noticed the new Avid Hotel had opened, I thought we'd check it out since I am a loyal IHG member. When we checked in, they told us that the hotel had just opened the prior week, so as you'd expect everything was new and clean. Outside of a little trouble with their check-in system, we had a smooth stay. The rooms are somewhat small, as I believe is consistent with this chain. The TV in the room is big though, and allows for easy casting from your device. There is a small fridge in the room - no coffee maker, but you can access free coffee in the lobby 24-7. Very comfortable bed. Free breakfast consisted of a small grab & go station that included things like granola bars, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit and oatmeal. They also had some hot ready-made breakfast sandwiches (and to my pleasant surprise, a veggie omelet). One small thing I didn't love is the bathroom lights are automatic - so anytime you enter, the light goes on automatically (even in the middle of the night where I'd rather it didn't). Also, if your shower is going a bit long, you might be left in the dark. Otherwise we'd definitely stay here again! It was a few dollars cheaper than the Holiday Inn Express, main difference (in my opinion) being they have a pool. This is also directly next door to a handful of restaurants and just down the road from Kalahari and the AMC theatre.
DDVR1954We checked into this hotel for four nights, we should have checked out after the first night. It started out poorly and got worse from there. The carpets in the room, the hallway and especially the stars are smelly and dirty. For some reason we were given a handicapped equipped room which, in my opinion, would be unsafe for a person with a disability. It was the last room at the end of a long hallway. You might think it was closer to the exit but there was no elevator there and the only exit was one floor below. There was a bathtub that had a chair in it but when I went to move the chair forward, it fell into the bathtub. The safety belt smelled of mildew. There was a shower head that was hard to reach in order to adjust it and the hand held shower head was inoperable. There was one office chair in the room so no place else to sit except the bed. Although the website indicated daily housekeeping service, a sign posted at the registration desk informed s that due to Covid, housekeeping services would only be provided if requested before 9:00 am. We didn’t request it after the first night but did try to call housekeeping the second morning. The number was busy for about 10-15 minutes so we dialed the operator. It rang and rang and rang. We kept trying and eventually someone answered. We requested service and also indicated that we had no tissues and that we were running out of toilet paper. She asked us not to leave a “do not disturb” sign on the door, we complied. When we returned that night, we found that our room had not been serviced. We called the front desk and were told it would definitely would be the next day. Someone did come in and make the bed and place clean towels in the bathroom. Still no tissues, no toilet paper and no fresh cups. My husband had to go to the front desk to get what we needed. The worst part is that the staff didn’t seem concerned or apologetic in the least. We have stayed at IHG hotels before and were generally pleased. We don’t expect luxury for this price point but we do expect cleanliness, safety and an engaged hospitality staff.
PPengguna TetamuWe had a very enjoyable stay at LaQuinta Lake Delton/WI Dells. We experienced geat customer service. The facility was only 2 years old when we stayed, & offered a modern atmosphere. Included breakfast was tasty & complete. Facility's whirlpool was spacious & pool size suffucient. Patio offered a modern fireplace 24/7, and also a gas grill (which we did not use). Only one slup up - our room was not cleaned when we entered, so we were issued a different room. Reasonable rates for the quality, cleanliness & amenities included. We recommend this LaQuinta Inn & Suites location.
PPengguna TetamuThe cleaning staff was amazing, the pool was decently clean but there were signs of wear. The breakfast wasn't very good, on the lower end of free breakfasts for hotels. The Front desk staff was basically non-existent, left the previous check-in person's information on the screen when we started to check-in. The keycards to get in stopped working before check-out time. One of our rooms keycard stopped working the day before checkout and the other room the keycard failed for the rooms at least sometime before 8 AM on checkout day, we were lucky we left someone in the room when we were loading the car. Toilet flush would make noises in the shower and it just felt like the rooms were poorly constructed. It is a nice stay right now, and the price is good, the room cleaning staff did a wonderful amazing job, I cannot give them enough compliments, the beds were very comfy and everything worked well now. I just fear that as time goes on things will break and won't be fixed, (there was a very large chip in our tub) but while things are relatively new it should be a good place to stay for someone wanting to explore the Wisconsin Dells.
CChristopher FNot a bad stay. Spent a Saturday evening here. Property, front desk, hallways, breakfast area, and swimming were all well maintained and clean. Staff was courteous. I hate the $100 incidential charge, only because they have a sign that states 5 to 7 business days returned. You take my money at the hit on an ”Enter” button on a computer, but cannot give MY money back for days? I realize this issue is much higher than the front desk clerk. Love the Dove soap! My exhaust fan worked perfect in the bathroom. The establishment was quiet throughout the evening and the lighting was ample outside along with the security cameras. I would recommend resetting each camera before winter though. Some look off due to maybe wind and bird nests. Overall, a good stay. Thank you!
