I had to change rooms 2 times, because the first room had a broken smoke detector which beeped all the time, also I think someone was smoking there. The second one had a jammed door, unusable. So I got a third room which was okay. A bit dirty, though. Surprisingly someone put all kinds of food on my front door with fresh fruits. I really liked that part. The service is friendly and helpful.

Clean, pet friendly and excellent front desk. The room was quiet and comfortable. Parking was free and very accessible. We would definitely stay there again if in the area. It is difficult to find a place that is pet friendly and people friendly, so this was perfect for us all.

Everything about this hotel from staff, location, services,cleanliness, the pool area to food was absolutely wonderful. Thank you for making our stay perfect. Would recommend.

This Courtyard is perfect and the second I’ve been here. I attended King’s College up here and always come up to Wilkes Barre to reconnect with friends and catch up, as well as checking out the scene as it brings back memories from the undergrad years. Since we couldn’t stay at our friends house, we decided to book here. It was a short visit but the staff was amazing from arrival to departure. Chrissy was the most helpful when I called the day before to see the availability before booking and was able to get a room quickly. Then was a pleasure to meet prior to checkout time. Such a smooth process. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with all we needed for just one night. We will be sure to return the next time we need to stay here again. I am in the hospitality industry myself and enjoy being the guest vs the employee watching how staff members take care of their guests! Keep up the great work all!

Good place, clean and good service

I’ve been in the customer service business my entire career from a tech to a regional manager. I know how to treat customers, the results for good service is they would reward you with more business. I traveled extensively during my career and stayed at many properties all over the country. As a Diamond member with Hilton I expect a level of service when I travel. I lived in the Wilkes Barre area for over 25 years and was coming back to visit old friends. The day before I checked in and picked the room I wanted. When I arrived at the hotel, they had my reservation but not that I had checked in. The hotel was very busy so the room I had requested was already taken. I like choosing my room so I can stay in certain areas and on the top floor. The front desk agent Joanne Padilla could see I was very upset about this as I explained I’ve done this hundreds of times and knew what room I had chosen. She was cool and calm and asked what my preferences were and that she would try and make it work. Now retired, I was acting like so many of my former customers that were difficult. Joanne remained calm and after a few minutes she said I’m upgrading your room to a suite so I can get you where you like and near the room you choose. I was embarrassed and apologized several times for being so difficult. I should know better but… (no excuse) I was tired from the long drive and just wanted to settle into my room. Joanne behaved just like me when customers showed frustration about an issue. Remaining calm, listening to the customers needs and then resolving the issue is World Class Service. We had a perfect stay and enjoyed our time back home. Thank you again Joanne, and my apologies.

We decided late in the day not to drive further and made a quick reservation on line. They had our reservation and our room all ready when we got there. Our room was spotless and everything worked, including good wi-fi. Breakfast was fine, with a waffle maker and a good selection of other items, staged in a pleasant area. The hotel is convenient for travelers, very near the expressway. Not great in terms of restaurant selection; there is a dying mall nearby and many nearby restaurants are closed or look unappealing
