The Barn B&B

Super clean room. The bathroom was beautiful. plenty of room, great amenities, loved the continental breakfast and the owner was a super nice chap. We had a great chat over breakfast. I can’t wait to visit again. As we will definitely be staying there again

This B & B is a total gem and a real find. Excellent accommodation with superking beds and settees dotted around. The breakfast may say 'continental' but it is full of variety and, for us, included freshly baked croissants, good coffee, numerous cereals, breads and spreads plus extras such as pancakes, maple syrup, cold meats and cheese. The breakfast room is also a comfortable sitting room with plenty of space. The hosts are not intrusive but very helpful and the locality offers lots to see and do including beautiful Margam Park (on the doorstep), Porthcawl with all its great seaside facilities and sea views, and quick access to the M4 allowing one to reach most of South Wales with great ease.

My family stayed for 3 nights in a holiday cottage. We were looking forward to the stay however we left disappointed. This cottaged offered good value but lacked in real customer care with lots of aspects not right. 1. The shower unit was very slow draining 2. The vacuum cleaner they provided did not work 3. The welcome information pack did not contain any information regarding what do to with waste and recycling. 4. The garden furniture they provided outside was old and rusty. 5. We were told we were not allowed to park outside the cottage - Instead needing to park on a gravel ***** away from the cottage - yet they had a huge American car blocking easy entry into rental property. 6. Area outside the cottage front door was poorly kept and overgrown. 7. The community centre they run obviously had some drumming session going on - which ran until late - no one bothered to warn us which meant struggling to get out kids to sleep. 6. No one ever bothered to even check we were happy with the house. Overall the property was a disappointment.

I spent 2 nights at the Barn and loved it. Room was lovely and the hosts super friendly. They have done a wonderful job of restoring the building, decor was very nice and super clean. Bed very comfortable and i slept well. Would highly recommend
