Ulasan Hotel Engelbertz – Yggotel Pirol

Gute Lage im Shopping-Distrikt der Innenstadt. 10 Minuten zum Bahnhof. 5 Gehminuten zum Dom oder zum Rhein. Zuvorkommrnde, freundliche Angestellte. ZIMMER, Rezeption und Restaurant frisch modernisiert. Ansprechendes Design. Ausstattung aber eher Basic. Kein Kühlschrank, kein Wasserkocher im Zimmer. Altmodische Tür mit Schlüssel. Das Zimmer insgesamt sehr klein. Das Bett mit guter Schlafqualität. Das Frühstück ansprechend präsentiert. Höhepunkt: Die frischen Waffeln.

很有年代感的酒店，房子建於1956年。電梯🛗很有特色。服務很好，距離大教堂和萊茵河非常近。而且附近餐廳，購物都很方便。因為是旺季，中途不得已又換了酒店，但是這個真的推薦。

一千三百多的酒店，非常非常不值得，太小、太破，窗户還有一點漏風。房間沒有空調、沒有熱水器、沒有水杯、沒有瓶裝水。連電視機都是上個世紀的。

整體上一般，早餐不夠豐富，房間設施簡單，衞生一般。

Perfect location in the centre of Koln, 10 minutes walk from train station. Friendly reception staff and a charming gentleman that cleans the rooms, Breakfast basic and disappointing, slow to replenish TV all in German ( understandable) but no subtitles available which was frustrating

Hotel is a short walk (about 10 mins ) from the train station. Warm welcome at reception, have to pay a tourist tax on arrival, which for 3 nights was about 14 Euros. Room was small, but a very comfortable bed so slept very well. En suite was had a good sized shower and toiletries. Breakfast was included and was a continental buffet. The hotel is very good value. And is in a good location for seeing the sites. Happy to recommend.

If the hotel is something for you depends on the deal, room, and service personnel you got. We cannot recommend Yggotel Pirol. The former Novum Hotel Engelbertz is freshly renovated and now calls itself Yggotel Pirol and is themed "Scandinavian". The management photos dated February 2024 mostly reflect what to expect, minus some adjustments to reality. If you have been to Las Vegas, you know the difference between night and day and the effect of light and some paint. The old hotel / building is still showing through when looking for details (read some older reviews). + Hotel staff is friendly (but not always helpful) + freshly renovated + new interior + great, central location + relatively quiet at night o average (to low) breakfast quality - breakfast staff not fit for the job - strong odor coming in through bathroom ventilation - tiny rooms, really On the breakfast, "Skandinavian" means the hotel added a waffle maker. From our tests and watching others, the idea is nice (of course!) but the settings and cleaning have room for improvement. The person attending the breakfast seemed to either ignore work or was not fit for the job. Tables were not cleared, refills happened after pointing to empty things, the kitchen area looked "interesting", the food area and coffee machine were missing some in-between cleaning.

This hotel is really not 4 star hotel ,room is small and terrible,no iron even in all hotel,no kettle,service no exited,is ridiculous .In reception in night nobody speak English Is first time in Koln this situation I also ask for a sample egg for breakfast but no possible I go out today Maurizio

Good hotel in the center of Koln no parking is available. The room are small but with everything . Three electric sockets two with usb plug. The breakfast is good . Wifi is available. The reception is nice At the reception you must paty a local tax (cash only)

This hotel has no ability to care and do the right thing. If you stay with this hotel or book a room with this hotel and something goes wrong do not expect any compassion when it comes to fixing the issue. EVERY hotel I have ever stayed at or booked, has always stepped up if something goes wrong, in the name of good customer service. They will my business. This hotel does not. Attn: hotel, I have read other reviews where you say to write to you. I did and got the response NO! So if you are serious about fixing an issue then supply your contact info.

Worst hotel ever. When you give as much money as us tourists do these days for hotel accommodation you expect some loyalty in return and compassion when things go wrong. If you are looking for a hotel that listens to your concerns and resolves the issues, DON’T book this hotel. Don’t give them any money they don’t deserve our patronage.

Do not book this hotel. They have no desire to ensure the customer has a good stay. If anything is not working they will say no to helping to fix the issue. They are only in it for the money and once they have this they don't care anymore. #corporategreed. Koln is fully of better and friendlier hotels so do yourself a favour and pass on this hotel.

Warning: Do not stay at this hotel. Worst experience ever! And don't get me started on their customer service. Trust me. I will also say that their lack of compassion when dealing with customer concerns and issues is beyong lacking. If you want to enjoy your holiday I would strongly suggest you find somewhere else to stay.
