The complimentary breakfast offered a good variety of options, catering to different tastes. The culinary offerings were satisfying, providing a decent start to the day. However, it's worth noting that some areas of the hotel might benefit from a bit of updating, as certain furnishings showed signs of wear. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection could be inconsistent at times. In conclusion, Mandarina Colombo offers a comfortable and convenient stay with friendly staff and decent amenities. It may not be the most luxurious option in Colombo, but it provides good value for those looking for well-located and welcoming accommodation.

As a practice I usually speak to several staff when I visit somewhere before making a genuine comment for the improvement of that organization. Seeing so many sad faces in this happy place, I deeply thought many times whether to write on this or not. Taking care of External Customers is a good thing as long as Internal Customers (your employees) also feel fairly treated. “Clients do not come first. Employees do. If you take care of your employees, naturally they will take good care of the clients.” Your staff doesn't look to be happy and as customers we can feel those things also. Note to management!

What a letdown! A place we used to adore turned into a disaster, all thanks to a single employee who completely disrupted our repeated visits. Although I'm tempted to mention the manager's name, I don't wish to jeopardize someone's livelihood. Instead, I strongly urge the hotel to focus on training their staff in handling situations professionally and courteously. Customers should never be treated poorly or made to feel worthless. This unfortunate incident occurred during my friend's engagement, which started off wonderfully but ended in disappointment due to a billing issue that was insignificant. There's a clear explanation for why this billing issue occurred, and I'd prefer not to discuss it in this review. However, I would gladly share the details with the senior management of the hotel. Moreover, I believe the hotel owes an apology to my friend, who had to endure this unpleasant experience on their special day. It's disheartening to think that what should have been a joyous celebration was marred by the behavior of a single employee. It's crucial to instill in your employees the understanding that customers should always be a top priority, and anyone within the premises should be treated as a valued customer. This experience has left a sour taste, and I sincerely hope that the hotel takes appropriate measures to address this. We genuinely want to continue enjoying this beautiful place without a single employee tarnishing the wonderful memories we once had.

Hilton is in a nice location a short walk from the sea and Galle Face Hotel. We had an executive room with lounge access. There was obviously some refurbishment of some rooms going on as we heard the work in our room! We didn’t have a refurbished room and it was in need especially the bathroom which was very worn, old fashioned and lacking in comfort. It was clean but had a damp feel to it as did the room which was also tired looking. We had lounge access which was good and had been modernised. There was a small buffet in the evening and drinks. Staff were very attentive. Breakfast was downstairs in the main restaurant and had a lot of choice although not much cereal selection. Hotel pool is external to the main grounds and you have to crossover the main road via a raised walkway. A nice pool area with bar and the fitness centre is also located here with good amount of equipment, a separate weights room to the running machines, cross trainers etc.

Reception area was very small but we were checked in quickly and given our room keys promptly. Lifts to room were very small and not very pleasant. Room was small with no views. Bathroom was adequate. Shower always had hot water. Location of hotel was excellent opposite the world trade centre and short walk to plenty of restaurants. Also a shopping mall and beach were just 10 minutes walk away. Loved the roof top bar area with lovely views of lotus tower, world trade centre and also view of the sea. Breakfast had very limited choices. However enjoyed the freshly cooked eggs
