Hotel terbaik di Colombo

OK Folks once upon time this used to be one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka. That was decades ago, this is one of the very few Sri lankan government owned hotel today. This is not so luxurious to match a five star, but a pretty good hotel which fits in well for a three star. There are glitches here and there, it's an old building, you might find the hot water not working or a broken switch, pardon that, the hotel is working very hard to fix those with the little financial resources they have. The staff of the hotel are very kind and hard working. If you request them for something, they will not hesitate to try there best to satisfy your needs. The hotel has undergone a renovation recently and working hard to maintain a good menu of food. Again people are good and hard working but with the financial resources they have, there are limitations. Overall its a good 3 star hotel with a decent menu of food and really polite people. Help them by reserving your rooms with this little place which has a big history, the more guest who visit this place, the more money they get, so they can serve you better the next time your arrive. Be kind when making your reviews, try to look through the eyes of good people here who are trying to make your stay the best ever. Let encourage more people to use thus hotel so they can soon start to cater you with five star perfection.

Lovely place to stay actually for our last night in the country. Strong Japanese vibe, tastefully decorated and the staff are really lovely. We had a really nice room with a balcony overlooking the coi ponds. The food in the restaurant is separate but we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Lovely food!!

A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen. We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed. Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel. All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

I recently stayed with my family at The Ocean Colombo Hotel and had a wonderful time. The food was fantastic with a wide variety of delicious options. The view was absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking sights. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, with excellent water pressure in the shower. Highly recommend for a family stay!

My short trip to Colombo is not compete without stopping by Fairview Hotel for their signature Nilaveli Lagoon Crab Curry + Roast Pan dish. The visit is as iconic as visiting a national monument 😂 Under the careful watch of Mr.Siva and his brilliant team, it was once again a memorable feasting experience as my last one in Feb 2020. We stayed here for 5 nights. Received very well. The bell boys unloaded our luggage from the car and took us to our room. They provided an umbrella cover too as it was raining. The reception area looked gloomy, dark and unwelcoming. A few more furniture, some plants, and better lighting could improve the first impression. Staff was extremely good and helpful, so was booking in and checking out. Rooms were reasonably large with A/C and a good shower room. Didn't realize they top up the tiny shampoo and shower gel rather than replacing-”saving the planet?” Very good breakfast. The Palmyra restaurant was excellent.

As an apprehensive traveller on arrival I just wasn’t sure about this hotel. However, as soon as we were greeted by Sharosh all my fears disappeared. He was so welcoming, attentive and his customer service was just great. I am type 1 diabetic and needed to make sure my medication was kept safe and chilled. He totally looked after me, which made me immediately relax so I could enjoy the start of my three week trip to Sri Lanka. This first experience gave me a great start to this adventure. Thank you Sharosh. Then the room. OMG, stunning! Had the biggest bath in the world. Just to note, make sure you wear mosquito spray (like anywhere in Sri Lanka) the enjoyed breakfast on my legs that morning - my fault for not wearing any!

The best place to stay in Colorado. Close to all main attractions and shopping center. Villa manager Chitru is very courteous and friendly. Helped us in all aspects (where to go, what to shop etc) room service and cleanliness on par with any star hotel. Highly recommended for stay in colombo.
