The Old Bakehouse

Just returned from a three night stay at the Old Bakehouse. We loved it and it made a perfect base for house hunting and a bit of exploration in the area. Great breakfasts, lovely rooms, all en suite, friendly and helpful staff team who take obvious pride in what they do. Really nice to see the use of local produce and support for local artists too. Thoroughly recommended. K&S

An amazing B&B in a gorgeous, quaint village. Perfect for us as we explored Seaton, Beer, Sidmouth and Lyme Regis. Amazing breakfast! We were stuffed for the whole day! Very clean and comfortable. Gorgeous attentive and kind hosts- they even provided us with a mini fridge for our milk as we love a cup of tea!! We have had the best holiday! Recommended 🤩

We, family of 4, stayed at the Cottage which is next to the B&B. From the moment I booked, the communication with Steve was excellent. The cottage itself is beautiful. Immaculate, home from home with some lovely touches; games, products in the bathrooms, a desk/PC should you need to for work, well equipped kitchen, cute balcony to sit and on arrival a nice welcome pack of local produce. The town of Colyton is a lovely place to visit, 2 small convenience stores, 2 pubs and friendly people. Close to Seaton, Beer, Lyme Regis. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Steve and Fiona have thought of everything, great hosts, and have a beautiful cottage. Highly recommend and would love to return.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Old Bakehouse, lovely decor, comfortable room, very clean, powerful shower with lovely toiletries and large fluffy towels, what more do you want? Breakfast varied and cooked to pre order. Colyton is a lovely friendly village, with two good pubs and a tapas bar, all of which we used and were totally satisfied. We recommend this place

Great couple of days in an excellent and friendly B&B in a very special East Devon town, with plenty to see and do. Close to Lyme Regis and a beautiful stretch of coastline. The tram from Colyton to Seaton is fun and ancient St Andrew Church is well worth a visit. I’ll definitely be going back.

Very welcoming host, lovely room with comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Bright and clean bathroom with shower. Parking space available was very useful. No hesitation in recommending the Old Bakehouse, great location in centre of Colyton and walking distance to shope and restaurants.

Excellent stay at the Old Bakehouse. A warm and friendly welcome and Steven & Fiona so helpful and attentive. Bedroom cosy and very clean with lovely aspect onto town. A beautifully run guest house with delicious breakfast. Interesting books and vinyl collection. Highly recommended.

Fantastic - a very welcoming and enjoyable stay at the Old Bakehouse - Fiona and Steve were so friendly, helpful and very attentive to every detail. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast superb - cooked to perfection. Although no on-site parking there is parking available at a public car park (very close) and close/safe on street parking. A wonderful stay 10/10 - would absolutely recommend The Old Bakehouse. Will be the No1 Go to when we are next in Devon.
