the stay was lovely very nice rooms and the pool is clean and fairly big didn’t have breakfast so can not comment on that

We stayed overnight at this gorgeous Edwardian hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday. There are lovely features throughout, including the bedrooms. Dinner was lovely and unhurried and the staff very considerate. Breakfast the next day was good.
The spa facilities looked good but treatments needed to be booked in advance.
The age and style of the property means there are no lifts. This was something of a challenge with luggage etc but we did have help when checking in.
Looking forward to returning in the summer.

We had a lovely stay - the staff were so friendly and helpful- and went above and beyond.
Breakfast was stunning.
Leisure facilities were good - swimming pool and gym facilities great. With the bonus of having treatments. Although the hotel interior was a little tired - it was clean and comfortable

The location albeit beautiful in the daylight - not so good in the dark - if you do not like country lane you will find it difficult when coming off the M5 at Weston super mare.
Hotel is old with character but if you are not very mobile do not stay here there is no lift and stairs up and down and then up. I stayed the first night in a single room - don’t it is a cupboard! They agreed to move me to a better room but it was still on an upper floor. Absolute shame!

I was more than disappointed with my stay. The walls are paper thin. You actuall feel as if you are involved in conversations and I was unlucky enough to be next to an "active room" shall we call it. It was tired and in desperate need of some TLC. Much better hotels to stay in

This was one of the best value holidays I have ever been on. The breakfast was one of the nicest breakfast I have had and the sauna steam room and swimming pool and gym are all good. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Start with the positives; all staff were lovely and the room and pool area were clean. Now to the negatives; uncomfortable worn mattress (needs a new one!), bright light outside window all night, curtains inadequate to keep out (install a blind), walls between rooms paper thin (could clearly hear phone conversations and lights being switched on) sauna and steam room were a walk through the gym and if you'd been in the pool that's a walk in your towel...

I stay a lot so a menu change would be great, the specials seem to last the week which does not help a block booking.
