Hotel Madinat

An absolutely stunning hotel with stunning service too. The rooms are so charming, the courtyard is breathtaking and the hotel has been sympathetically restored and decorated to its former glory. The service from Yousef and the team was faultless, couldn’t have asked for better. Of I return to Córdoba I will certainly return.

We stayed for several nights in June. As a couple we have previously stayed in many 5 star hotels in Europe. Mexico & Caribbean but the check in at this hotel was much better. Management arranged transport from the station ( which is a must due to the very narrow streets ) and on arrival we were greeted with cold lemonade whilst Youseff talked through the hotel history & activities in the area. He also recommended restaurants - very knowledgable. Whilst this happened our luggage had been taken up to our room. The whole hotel is beautiful & our room was no different. The roof top patio is a must - we had drinks up there watching the sunset before heading to Bar Baron for a few drinks with the locals ( again a great local bar - 2 mins from hotel ). Breakfast is good - lots of local food and a great cup of coffee. In summary this is a fabulous hotel & we would definitely recommend & stay again. Thank you Youseff and the team for a fantastic short stay.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable and clean rooms, staff were helpful and friendly - cannot say enough nice things. Yosef at the front desk was amazing, and the entire atmosphere of the hotel was so peaceful. The breakfast was delicious and the rooftop terrace perfect for relaxing. We stayed in the “superior room” on the top floor and it was clean and comfortable, but it did have an interesting bathroom situation (it was enclosed glass so pretty much open to the room for sound - fine for us but maybe not for everyone). Hotel is in a great location for sightseeing and easy to get to from the train station via taxi. We landed here after a long journey and felt immediately at ease and relaxed. Beds were comfy and rooms were quiet.

Our visit began with an exceptionally warm welcome. We were invited to sit at a table and were brought cold drinks and candied berries. Checking in included help booking a flamenco performance and a wonderful restaurant. The whole hotel is beautifully styled incorporating both archeological and quirky elements. The rooms are cool, silent and clean with a very comfortable bed. Some more shelving would have been handy. All staff , especially Youseff and Paloma, could not have been more helpful and kind. Would love to return to Hotel Madikat and will recommend to friends visiting Cordoba.

We stayed for eleven nights during the Festival of Patios in May 2024. The hotel is situated in the heart of the old town and is a converted traditional mansion house with a central patio. Many of the original features remain. We were welcomed by Paloma, who gave us an overview of the facilities and local area. All of the reception staff were extremely helpful. Our room was situated on the first floor at the front of the building. The room was immaculate and had been well prepared before our arrival. The large bed was extremely comfortable and the bed linen was changed daily. The main feature of the room was a large tiled bath, which also contained a shower unit. We made good use of this facility. One observation regarding the room would be that there was nowhere to store our clothes, other than half a dozen hangers for shirts, jackets etc. As we were staying for an extended period, we found ourselves literally living out of our suit cases for the whole period. We made use of the roof terrace on several occasions. The view across the old part of the city was amazing. Breakfast was served in a small dining area, which when busy was a bit tight for room. The food service area in particular we found rather cramped at times. The breakfast offerings were typical of the area and generally good. Overall, we found this hotel to be of a good standard. Well situated and within easy reach of the main attractions in the old town. However, we paid a premium price for our room and for the facilities available, I felt the hotel was somewhat over priced for what was on offer.

Fantastic hotel in a quiet location. Room very comfortable and clean. Hotel decor had been done with a good sense of modern and old mix. What makes this Hotel so good is the professionism and helpfulness of the staff. We would fully recommend this excellent Hotel.

What a wonderful treat madinat is. Joseph and team were delightful. Hotel is beautiful and easy walk to all that cordoba offers. Unreserved recommend.

Quaint, charming hotel centrally located to important sites. Concierge , Naomi was very welcoming and helpful making dining reservations for us and showing us around on a map. Breakfast was divine with an assortment of food and homemade items. It would have been nice to Have a coffee machine in the room vs just a kettle with instant coffee and more electrical outlets such as one on either side of the bed.

Fantastic boutique hotel. Great location near the Mesquita but still within the quiet old quarter with easy access to bars and restaurants. The service was attentive and friendly from the moment we checked in to when we left; we used all their brilliant restaurant recommendations. The hotel has a lovely roof terrace overlooking the city where you can order drinks and watch the sun go down. We had a superior double room which was perfect - lovely shower, tea & coffee, safe, fridge as well as bathrobes. Would highly recommend.
