Very nice Hotel and very friendly staff. Definitely to be recommended to all travelers.

Todo fue excelente, las habitaciones amplias y muy limpias. El baño espacioso y con una deliciosa tina. Los desayunos súper completos. Las áreas comunes muy bien organizadas. Lastima que no pudimos entrar al observatorio. Nota: el único detalle es que no tenían opciones de cena, solo bebidas y snacks.... Y cerca (menos de 10k) no se encuentra nada para comer

Hotel confortable, habitación y baño grande. Cama muy cómoda, tele grande con canales internacionales, nevera dentro de la habitación. Terraza ideal con vistas a la piscina.

Hotel em geral com bom serviço mas com os seguintes pontos a melhorar: elevador avariado, peq almoço buffet um pouco caro 9,50€/pax, falta tomadas duplas nos quartos ao lado da cama para carregador de smartfones, quartos precisam de upgrade para os requisitos actuais e faltam uns pequenos sofás confortáveis nos quartos.

Confortável e limpo

We attended the New Years Celebration with a two night stay. This was our fourth visit over three years. Again great warm reception by all staff and especially help with the booking. Rooms were warm, very clean and very comfortable beds. Lovely buffet breakfast with lots of variety and fresh fruit. Great effort made for one of our family members who is a vegan. Fully catered for, with special attention to GF and vegetarian meals too. Overall a super experience again and we will definitely return soon. Special thanks to Alex who had several roles and excelled with maintaining his good humour and care for his guest.

Very nice location for a relaxing break. Hotel was very clean, staff were great especially Andre (hope that’s correct) Russian waiter so polite and helpful. Swimming pool was nice and sun beds were comfortable. Nice restaurant about 2 mins walk outside hotel and the lake was only a 10 min walk through the forest. Had a lovely time only negative was we didn’t like the pillows in the room.

This is a very good hotel, ideal for a weekend break and especially if you want to be near to the beautiful Guardiana river. We travelled up the Portuguese side and visited Mertola which was, to be honest, a bit underwhelming but as the road gave way to the Alentejo countryside, appreciation was lifted. The hotel was easy to locate, impressive even in the mist and gentle rain and we felt instantly that it wa a good choice. The reception was warm and friendly and our room was substantial with all facilities, very clean and well prepared and had a lovely view over the swimming pool. The observatory was under modification; the games room in the Library was good to have even though it was quite cold. We did arrive on a Sunday night - the restaurant was open with an understandably limited menu. One of us is a no-fish vegetarian and so it is our fault that there was nothing we could sit down to and we could find nothing open in the village. But it was our fault. Should have rung ahead. We would happily visit again. Breakfast was extensive and good but, other than pancakes, nothing hot.
