We have just returned from 10 days at this stunning hotel. We returned after a fantastic holiday last year and we will almost certainly book again. We were greeted at reception and offered a courtesy room to freshen up in and luggage storage until our room was ready. It does state that check in was not available until 1500 so we always knew it would be a bonus if our room was ready earlier. Personally I think it's fair to allow hotels time to do a deep clean between one guests departure and another's arrival. The room was kept spotlessly clean throughout, the mini bar always refreshed, although we only used the water and chocolate from it. A few people have complained that turn down service arrived whilst they were still getting ready, they have a whole hotel to do so they can't do everyone at the same time. If they happened to come whilst we were still getting ready we just swapped our pool towels and had a little chat. As an adult I don't need someone to turn down my bed for me, it would not enhance my holiday. The housekeeping staff were all lovely and very good at their jobs. My only slight gripes would be that I would personally prefer an iron to the steamer as the steamer was pretty useless. The air conditioning was just not cold enough for us. We had it on maximum low coninuously, with curtains closed throughout the day to keep the sun out, but we still woke up numerous times through the night too hot, even though we were sleeping on top of the bed, not in it. The TV had one English channel, 5 star. (number 15) all the other English channels BBC,ITV,Channel 4 & 5 etc had no signal for the duration of our stay and seemed to be a problem before this according to reviews. I asked at reception and was told it was an issue they were trying to resolve. Every other channel in every other language was absolutely fine. I know you don't go on holiday to watch TV but it's sometimes nice as you get ready / go to sleep. Malva Again a lot of people say that there is not enough choice, I think this is more down to peoples fussiness and unwillingness to try new things rather than there being an actual lack of choice. There are so many options it's ridiculous. Even if you can't, for some bizarre reason find something in Malva you have 4 other options in Ginger, Samira, La Graciosa & Capella. I totally understand that if you have dietary requirements it can be restrictive but that is the same anywhere you eat that isn't your own home. My partner has a gluten / dairy intolerance but managed to find lots of options every day. Sometimes we had to ask for gluten free and there could be more dessert options for gluten free but all the staff were always happy to help. In a morning the poor chefs are very over worked trying to keep everything stocked and a continuous supply of every type of eggs imaginable. I'm not sure if the lovely chef was from Guadaloupe or called Guadaloupe but she was ever so friendly and helpful an dhad noticed that each morning w
