1) We had trouble with our flight into Paris and were at serious risk of losing an entire day. We had paid in full several months in advance, yet when we sent the hotel a message informing them of our difficulties and anticipated late arrival their response was if we failed to checkin by noon the next day we would lose the reservation. This in spite of completely paying in advance for a week's stay and completing online checkin. What's the purpose of advanced checkin and paying in advance? 2) The hot water failed for a day. Hotels should have onsite engineering or have on contract engineering staff for repairs. 3) The rooms are not cleaned by housekeeping. Now I can understand certain health precautions limiting the cleaning, perhaps every second day. But this isn't the case, the hotel will arrange housekeeping, for an 18 euro fee per cleaning. However, the room does come with a vaccum cleaner and fresh towels are available upon request at the front desk. 4) The rooms are clean, but the hallway rugs are filthy. Otherwise, the establishment is a convenient 15 minute walk to La Defense Esplanade Metro (slightly less convent to La Defense RER). For shopping here is a Intermarche literally next door. It is in a quiet location.
The Ibis Paris La Defense Courbevoie hotel is located on the outskirts of Paris, Neuilly-sur-Seine, and La Defense. This will be a full experience review incl. transportation to and from the hotel and surrounding amenities. Taking a train from CDG to La Defense was fairly easy to decipher. We elected to walk to the hotel since we didn’t have a ton of luggage and it took about 45 minutes. Alternatively you can try taking a bud or the L train which can reduce your walking time to about 15 minutes. An Uber is about 20€. It is my first time staying at an Ibis hotel. Entry was a bit confusing given that there are two similarly named hotels next to each other. When we were greeted, it was done quickly and courteously. We did not opt for the available breakfast nor did we ever step foot in the attached restaurant as there are plenty of great places around. The reception area is small but still fairly trendy with modern style furnishings and work areas. Like the other French hotels we stayed at we were only given 1 access card. A second would have been nice. The room was small as most in Paris are, but you didn’t come to Paris to sit in your room. There was a small TV, an enclosed bathroom with a small toilet and small stand up shower. The hot water NEVER stopped and the water pressure was great. They cleaned and restocked the bathroom daily so you don’t have to worry about that. The bed was comfortable enough and can fit 2-3 people comfortably. There was also a small TV. Unfortunately we had a view of the apartments behind the hotel and not of the river. Would have been nice for or honeymoon but can’t complain too much. The walls are admittedly fairly thin as we couldn’t always hear what our neighbours were up to but sometimes you could hear louder TVs or the washrooms being used. Access to all our daily activities was easy. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby just across the bridge on the island. Keep in mind restaurants work a little differently in Paris, tips are usually included in the price of the meal and they close in between lunch and dinner. Dinner service starts at 7pm. Smoker? Enjoy cigars here and there? There’s a Tobacco shop on the island as well open from 8am-8pm. Further past the island there is a beautiful rich neighbourhood you can walk through with plenty of shops and greenery. La defense is essentially a main station and you can reach most if not all of the activities of the city from there. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again given it’s fair price, accessible location and quieter area.

Very good hotel a bit outside of the centre of Paris but with a metro at the end of the street meaning you can be in the centre in 15-20mins. Area felt very safe and pleasant with some nice local eateries and amenities. I've stayed in a Happy Culture hotel before and the staff are always very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They even called a more central hotel to ask if we could leave our luggage there instead to save us going back to Boris before we departed Paris from Opera which was very convenient. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Only thing is the air conditioning unit was leaking so we had to leave it turned off which meant the room was very hot especially with the weather being particularly hot at the time. Noise from the street at night loud at times, mostly from motorbikes. Also you could hear other guests in their rooms i.e. when they turned on a tap or spoke loudly. Not a deal-breaker and for the price I think it offers good value for money for the budget conscious visitor.

The Jardin de Saint Cloud exceeded expectations! When booking, I had read reviews complaining that it was far from Central Paris, which it true- its in Saint Cloud. So if that is a concern it may not be a fit. However, it was perfect for us! We were visiting friends in Saint Cloud. The Jardin allowed us to take public transit into Central Paris. It is across the street from the T2, a shot walk to one of the M lines, and a VERY steep walk to the L. We easily got to our activities in the city each morning and returned each afternoon in time to visit with our friends for the evening. The rooms were clean and far more spacious than I anticipated (we did book a suite). The pool was great for my 9 year old and breakfast was enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful! If we are lucky enough to return to France to visit our friends again, we will 100% book here again!

I don't expect luxury from a hostel, but I do expect cleanliness. On the surface the hostel appears clean. Most importantly, the bed sheets and mattress are clean. However, look beyond that and you'll see it's filthy and obviously never given a deep clean. Down the side of the lower bunk there is what must be months and months of rotten food, old socks, dirt and dust that has been allowed to collect. No wonder the room smells so musty and stuffy. My bunk had blood streaks from a squashed bug (and live mosquitoes flying about), as well as sticky finger prints all over the bed panels and window. Furthermore, the noise level is crazy. I understand on a Friday people want to party so the bar was blasting out music and the 1st floor rooms are not sound proof - I actually didn't mind that. What annoyed me was the fact that they were blasting music through the speakers in the 1st floor toilet/shower rooms. WHY?! This made the room and hallways even noisier. Its only saving grace is the location (and free wi-fi). It can feel a bit dodgy walking through there alone as a single woman at night, but so can any big city... The hostel is close to some great bars, restaurants, and tourist attractions (Père Lachaise Cemetery, for example). I'd recommend hiring a bike to get around - there's quite a few Vélib' bike stations a short walk away.
PPengguna TetamuWe couldn't recommend it more! We're a family of four and stayed in one of their suites... just amazing in terms of amenities, room was good sized and beds super-comfortable! The location was perfect, in the heart of La Défense, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby. The Metro station is a part of the Paris Metro Line 1 (Yellow Line) was also just a short walk away, making it easy to get around Paris. The staff at Fraser Suites were incredibly friendly and helpful. Sara, in particular, went above and beyond to make our stay special. We'll definitely be back next year...
HH9127VVjennifermMy daughter and I were part of a tour with her high school art program, so I did not have high expectations for our hotel. However, I was very—VERY—pleasantly surprised with Tribe. It’s not in the heart of Paris, but it’s very close to the La Defense metro stop and a quick jaunt to the center of the city. The decor is a little wild, with interesting prints, but in a fun and funky way, and the atmosphere of the lobby was great, whether at breakfast or at the bar after a long day of art museums. The rooms were pretty small, as would be expected in France, but we still had plenty of room. The one thing I didn’t like was not having a proper dresser and having to keep everything in a suitcase under the bed for over a week. The bathrooms were bright, spacious and well designed. I was sad that there wasn’t a good way to get to the Seine for a walk or run, but on the other hand there was a grocery right across the street, so that was much appreciated. The staff were very professional and pleasant, and the breakfast was excellent; we still reminisce about the eggs and the pain au chocolat.
JJeromeKPERFECT location with easy access to the Metro station and a short ride into the city. I was booking for a Chinese couple travelling to Europe for their very first time and despite their limited English ability, they were looked after very well during their stay. My email to the hotel was answered quickly and although the hotel has no Chinese speaking staff available, they were comfortable throughout their stay.
Breakfast spread was not as extensive as the couple had experienced in their travels around Asia so this was the only lesser comment that they had but overall, the hotel is highly recommended.
PPengguna TetamuMy husband and I stayed at Citadines (La Defense, Courbevoie) for three nights the last week of August 2023. From the moment that we stepped into the hotel, we were warmly greeted by friendly receoptionist Paola. In light of the usual 'customer service' that we experience in Paris, we were pleasantly surprised by Paola's gracious, professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic attitude. If we had any questions, Paola was able to promptly and knowledgeably answer them. If we had any request to make the room more comfortable, Paola was able to address it punctually and to our satisfaction. Paola really made the experience five star from the very beginning. We are somewhat sensitive to noise, so Paola made sure that our room was facing away from the traffic towards the inside of la Defense. This made for a wonderful stay during which we could really relax and sleep well. Paola's good customer service must have been contagious, as the other staff members manning the reception desk were also very pleasant. The room itself was small but comfortable - Citadines has the benefit of an induction stove, new beds / mattresses, and a decently sized shower. This was everything that we needed for our three night stay, and we were very happy overall. There are enough little cupboards located around the room to ensure that clothes can be stored, but nothing too fancy...do not bring a big suitcase unless you upgrade to a bigger room! The entrance to Citadines is somewhat tricky to find as it is necessary to walk up the stairs in front of another hotel called Fraser Suites, along an upper esplanade, and then down some stairs around the back of Fraser Suites (which is the hotel adjoined on to Citadines). The entrance to Citadines is not very grand. Normally, the taxi will drop passengers off in front of Fraser Suites as it is too difficult to find the entrance to Citadines. From the front of Fraser Suites, the entrance to Citadines is not more than a 5 minute walk. Close by Citadines, there is a metro station accessing line 1, which will take passengers straight into the centre of Paris - very convenient. There are no remarkable restaurants in la Defense, so I would recommend that guests of Citadines travel one metro stop into Neuilly-sur-Seine to try one of the top quality restaurants located on rue de Longchamps. If you are looking for a simple yet efficient short term stay (not more than 5 days), definitely try Citadines. The location makes it very convenient to get into Paris quickly without the hassle or price of actually having a hotel in Paris. We did not try the breakfast at Citadines as we just bought our own from bakeries in Neuilly.
PPengguna TetamuExtremely poor service we are staying at room 904 / 906 / 908 , AC is not working since yesterday called several times, towels not available in room , we are here for another 3 days was worst decision to choose this hotel doesn’t recommend at all , no one listens for any complains
PPengguna TetamuThis is good hotel for overnight rest when visiting Paris. It is located quite close to a metro station so you can easily move wherever you need. Rooms are doing the purpose, not that big, but clean and comfortable. There is also a possibility of third bed for a child on request. Food diversity is very limited but it tastes excelent with fresh croisants on the meny each day. There is also a bar in the hotel where you can order pizza or sandwiches and have a drink. Check in and out is easy and stuff are helpfull and polite. Overall, I would not hesitate to book this hotel again on return to Paris.
