Long Mountain Lodge Bed & Breakfast

I can't say enough good things about our stay here. We arrived around 8:15 in the evening and easily found a personalized note left for us with our check in instructions. Once we got to our room we found a carafe of wine and a cheese plate in our fridge, which was so welcome after traveling. We took that out to the back porch and watched an amazing sunset. And from there, things just continued to exceed expectations. The room was so homey with lots of cute and useful touches, the bed was very comfortable and we slept so well each night, there was a coffee maker in the room, and in the downstairs dining room there was always a variety of teas to choose from, soft drinks and snacks for the taking. And I can't forget the homemade cookies in the evening there too. The breakfasts each morning were delicious, and I am someone that doesn't typically eat breakfast, especially carb loaded ones. Since we were going to be hiking for the day I needed energy so wanted to have a good breakfast, and wow was it worth it!! Not a buffet, but made to order when we sat down. The staff at the lodge was so friendly, and Don is a special person who does anything he can to help make sure your stay at the lodge and in the area is as good as it can be, and he couldn't be any better at his job! He gave us suggestions for hikes, lots of great information about things to do, and the lodge also has all kinds of hiking related items for use if needed. Don even took us on a hike one of our days that was something we probably couldn't have gotten to on our own as you really needed a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Not only did the conversation flow easily the entire time, but he also brought sandwiches, fruit, and granola bars for us to have along the way. The area itself was really great with tons of hikes, wineries, and a very cute town. We went for a motherdaughter hiking trip, and it's not often that all expectations are exceeded, but they were this time. I hope to return to the lodge one day and explore more hikes and some of the wineries that we just didn't have the time to get to this time.

Don and staff made our stay even more enjoyable.! Very friendly, very helpful. The breakfasts were great. Beds were comfortable and the room and the service were excellent. We look forward to returning for a longer stay sometime this fall.

The hospitality was amazing! Thanks Don for such a wonderful stay! You really took good care of us. Breakfast was delicious and I appreciate your attention to detail making our stay exceptional. The lodge was in proximity to several wineries and waterfalls nearby. Lots of fun had by all!

We have never stayed here before but we were pleasantly surprised! The rooms are beautiful and clean. Breakfast every morning was delicious, you won’t find it anywhere else and the staff were incredibly sweet and treated us like family. Did I mention the incredible view of the mountains? If you have no been here yet, go! 10/10

The B&B was clean and well planned out. My room was large enough to move freely, but also cozy and homey. The staff(Kendall) was friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in the area and the breakfast was good each day. Having a small fridge and a coffee maker in the room was unexpected and a wonderful amenity. I plan to go back the next time I need a weekend away.

The lodge was excellent! Don was very accommodating and the breakfasts were amazing! I highly recommend the Long Mountain Lodge to everyone! We can’t wait to stay again in the future! We want a room with a fireplace but our room did have one but Don gave us a room for Friday night with a fireplace and we had fire that night! He made it special! It was my wife’s birthday! On Saturday we moved across the hall to our room for the remaining time! I feel like I made a friend in Don! I would like to make this an annual tradition!

We stayed at the Long Mountain Lodge the first week of December. We were looking for somewhere near us with a "Hallmark" Christmas feel. We arrived late at night and were truly wowed after our flight and drive to the lodge. We were amazed by every detail. We truly walked into the perfect lodge. The lodge was fully decorated for Christmas. Our room had homemade cookies, a cheese platter, and wine waiting for us in our room. We were astonished by the picturesque view outside our room's French doors! We couldn’t have asked or wanted anything else. The Innkeeper, Don, is one of the gems of this place! When we first called the lodge and spoke with him, his conversation made us book without a second thought with his kindness and helpfulness. The entire staff creates a warm and inviting environment. Each morning we were greeted with a personable welcome and any helpful advice that you might inquire about local attractions....along with an amazing gourmet breakfast; different each day. Thank you for making us feel so at home ❤️ We are already planning our next trip back.

My husband and I went for our Anniversary and truly enjoyed our stay. The Lodge was very clean and quaint. We enjoyed sitting by the fire and talking to other couples. Don was very nice and fun to talk with. His breakfast each morning was amazing. We will definitely go again.

We are 4 friends and we reserved two rooms at the lodge for one night, which is located near Montaluce Winery. We did not have rooms next to each other, but it was not a problem. We loved this lodge and even though it has 6 rooms, other than breakfast the next morning we didn't see another guest. The rooms were spacious and comfortable (bed was super comfy) the view was lovely! The complementary amenities were fantastic and really made if feel we were staying with family, snacks, drinks, tea, coffee available 24x7 in the dining room as well as wine, cheese/crackers and freshly baked cookies in our room. I can't say enough about the delicious full breakfast and the fantastic host Don. Stay here, you will not regret it!
