Nice place to stay even though it sometimes felt like the middle of a street. The staff were very nice and helpful, the breakfast was healthy and filling, a good start to the day. The location was good for all the places we wanted to visit. Even though the light went of sometimes and the wifi did not always work, I would say we enjoyed our stay here.

Just awesome!! From the moment you arrive at the doorstep to the moment your bags are put in the trunk of the taxi we experienced the highest level of hospitallity possible! This stunning hotel will take you breath once you walk through the lobby to the perfect room with an amazing seaview. During our 6 day stay we enjoyed the private beach and sensational swimming pool, the perfect service at the beach & pool and the terrace. Lunch and dinner at the restaurants, in particular the Terrace Restaurant, are excellent. Fine dining while enjoying an wonderful view over the beach and Atlantic ocean. And above all, a bonus for people like us who like to fight the blue marlin and big tuna. Terrou Bi Marina got two magnificent fishing boats moored. Twin Soul and Born Free are available for a great day at the ocean. The professional crew, outstanding service and high quality fishing gear made our fishing trips, trips to remember! The staff at Terrou Bi, from the doorman to the manager are the kindest people you can imagine. They assisted us during our stay in every way possible. From getting nasal spray to booking a trip to Goree, the slave island in front of Dakar. Without a doubt a perfect place for those who seek a week of relaxing and welness. A few days prior to my stay, I sent an email enquiring about airport transfers as my flight would arrive in the middle of the night. No reply. On my day of arrival, after having organized the transfer myself, I called the hotel to let them know I will be coming very late, and they did pick up the phone and spoke English. (And they finally replied to my email after I had checked in and stayed one night, only to let me know they do not organize transfers and referred me to Hertz...) The receptionists speak English and seem reasonably friendly. Check-in was quick, check-out not so. The room was very bare bones, cramped and ascetic, with a rather strong, musty smell hanging around. The floor was made of hard plastic and was filthy, don't wear white socks! There was no luggage rack, probably because there simply is no room for one. There was, however, a desk and chair, a safe and a bed that's great for one person but would be incredibly narrow for two. The pillows were worn out and lumpy. For a hotel built in 2011, I would expect power outlets by the bed, but that was not the case here. No fridge. A/C worked well enough for December, but won't probably be too helpful in summer. Wifi was free and unlimited, but spotty and slow. Don't plan on teleconferencing here. A 0.5 L water bottle was provided and replenished daily. The bathroom came with no bars of soap or shampoo. There was a wall-mounted liquid soap container on the wall, similar to the ones you can find in public toilets. It said, ”hair, body and face wash”. I guess you could wash your dog, clothes and car with it, too. There was a bath mat and two bath towels, no hand towels provided. Water in the handheld shower was warm and pressure was okay. The carpets in the hallways were in desparate need of deep cleaning. Buffet breakfast was served in the lobby from 6:30 to 10 and cost a reasonable 8000 CFA. It was your usual affair: nothing to get excited about, but it will give you a good start of the day. Some hot and cold items, juices, yoghurt. The fresh fruit was nice and the croissants excellent. The same compound has a Novotel hotel right next door, and their informal restaurant on the ground floor serves lunch and dinner. There is a buffet (dinner 17 000 CFA) as well as à la carte, including the famous chicken yassa. The pool is shared by the Novotel and the Ibis. While their homepage claims it is heated, this was not the case, and in December, nights are cool so the water was a bit cold, but bearable. It was open from 9 am to 7 pm. The pool attendant was a grumpy old man who wanted your room number but didn't understand English, not even numbers. Pool towels were left to dry in the sun and then reused without washing, which is absolutely disgusting. I suspected it at first and then got proof by seeing the attendant simply place used towels to dry on furniture on the pool deck, folding them nicely afterwards. And then checked my towel to see that it was both filthy and smelly. Wow. Th

I had an overall wonderful stay. I enjoyed an upgrade which exceeded my expectations. The suite was very clean and so was the entire hotel. The ocean view was beautiful, staff were warm and friendly, and the cuisine was great. The location of the hotel is central and close proximity to my areas of interest. Special thanks to Safietou at the reception for making my stay a good one.

Zu einem für Dakar günstigen Preis bei Buchung via Internet hatte ich mich für 3 Nächte im Hotel JARDIN SAVANA eingemietet. Hotel Der eingeschossige Bau ist älteren Datums, ruhig und ohne Verkehrslärm in einem großen, parkähnlichen Garten direkt am Meer gelegen, wegen der Hanglage jedoch mit vielen Treppen. Sehr hilfsbereiter Rezeptionist. Taxen vor dem Hotel. Zimmer Mein Zimmer (321), NR, DZ als EZ, war zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Möbel zwar schon mit Gebrauchsspuren, aber sauber. Gute Matratze im kingsize bed, ausreichend Stauraum für einen Kurzurlaub, Safe, Minibar, Sitzecke, Schreibtisch, TV (nicht genutzt), Telefon (defekt), genügend Steckdosen und Lichtquellen, verdunkelbare Fenster, AC, Wlan frei – auch im Außenbereich – jedoch nicht immer stabil. 1 Fl. Wasser/täglich. Leider total versiffter Teppichboden. Der sollte dringendst ausgetauscht werden, am besten durch Fliesen. Möblierter Balkon mit Blick auf Pool und Meer. Bad Wannenbad (mit sehr hohem Einstieg) mit Regendusche, geringer Wasserdruck, Bad/WC gut ausgeleuchtet, Körperpflegeartikel etc. Tägliche Reinigung und Wäschewechsel. Aufmerksamer roomboy. Frühstück Für senegales. Verhältnisse umfangreich, jedoch weit entfernt von kontinentalem Frühstück, sehr kuchenlastig, frisches Obst, kl. Auswahl an Wurst und Käse, leider nur gekochte Eier, kein Rührei oder andere Variationen, Tee, Kaffeeautomat, Milch, Säfte, Wasser. Vermisst habe ich persönlich Joghurt. Anders als in den anderen Bereichen des Hotels ist der Service hier sehr muffig und desinteressiert. Pool Großer Pool mit kleinen Mängeln (Fliesen fehlen), Liegen, Sonnenschirme und Handtuch kostenlos. Der Pool steht auch externen Besuchern zur Verfügung, z.B. für Wassergymnastik, Schwimmunterricht etc. oder einfach nur als Spaßbad. Da kommt es zu Engpässen: keine freien Liegen/keine Handtücher. Bedenklich in meinen Augen im Hinblick auf die Hygiene, daß auch sog. Pampas-Babys mit in den Pool genommen werden. Poolbar Gute Cocktails etc, Möglichkeiten zum Essen nach Karte, sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service (Planters Punch sehr zu empfehlen) Restaurant Open Air Restaurant - direkt am Meer gelegen, leider sehr schlecht besucht. Ausreichend große Karte, Umsetzung ok., man darf keine Geschmacksexplosionen erwarten. Gambas topp, Languste schwarz gegrillt. Aufmerksames Personal, besonders Almany und der Koch fielen mir angenehm auf. Strand Privater Strand vorhanden, den ich aber tunlichst gemieden habe. Fazit Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Ich habe mich wohlgefühlt.

You'll feel very comfortable during your stay. The rooms are clean, the staff are super friendly, and the food is amazing! There is a beautiful pool with lounge chairs & towels. There's a decently size gym and spa. They offer shuttles from the airport to hotel upon request so I recommend emailing the hotel to provide your flight info prior to arrival.
