The hotel is located in a convenient area of Dakar and connected to a mall. So, the location is very convenient. The outdoor areas are very nice. The hotel is on the Atlantic Ocean and has a lovely infinity pool. Every night there is music playing either live music or a DJ. Meals - By far, the breakfast buffet was my favorite meal served at the hotel. There were plenty of options and the food was very good. I wish the local food was more authentic. It was good but not great. I had to leave the hotel to get good-tasting Senegalese Food. Rooms - The rooms are large and the bed and sheets are high quality. However, they are in desperate need of a refresh. I had to be moved several times due to issues in the room. This is the biggest weakness of the hotel and the main reason the hotel does not get 5 stars. Once they revamp the rooms, this will truly be a 5-star resort. Customer Service - I found the staff at the hotel very nice, friendly, and service-oriented. They made an effort to greet me by my name every time they saw me and also tried to remediate the issues that I experienced in my rooms. They wanted to ensure that I had a memorable stay. Just awesome!! From the moment you arrive at the doorstep to the moment your bags are put in the trunk of the taxi we experienced the highest level of hospitallity possible! This stunning hotel will take you breath once you walk through the lobby to the perfect room with an amazing seaview. During our 6 day stay we enjoyed the private beach and sensational swimming pool, the perfect service at the beach & pool and the terrace. Lunch and dinner at the restaurants, in particular the Terrace Restaurant, are excellent. Fine dining while enjoying an wonderful view over the beach and Atlantic ocean. And above all, a bonus for people like us who like to fight the blue marlin and big tuna. Terrou Bi Marina got two magnificent fishing boats moored. Twin Soul and Born Free are available for a great day at the ocean. The professional crew, outstanding service and high quality fishing gear made our fishing trips, trips to remember! The staff at Terrou Bi, from the doorman to the manager are the kindest people you can imagine. They assisted us during our stay in every way possible. From getting nasal spray to booking a trip to Goree, the slave island in front of Dakar. Without a doubt a perfect place for those who seek a week of relaxing and welness. e voudrais faire quelques remarques sur axil hôtel ! apparemment la direction ne sait pas utiliser un tél ou un mail pour avertir des changements à l’arrivé !! j’arrive donc le jour de ma réservation et ceci en pleine nuit comme prévu , très fatigué par mon voyage et la surprise ma chambre est occupé !!! on me reloge dans un hôtel de catégorie très très inférieur , je dois me déplacer avec mes bagages à nouveau alors que je suis là pour mon travail !! ni excuses ni dédommagement , à mon départ on me fait payer une chambre qui n’est pas celle que j’ai réservé et on me dit qu’on me l’as compté au prix de l’hôtel de catégorie inférieur comme si cela n’étais pas naturel , on me présente ça comme un avantage !! les voyageurs jugerons !! un vendredi soir sans prévenir les clients de l’hôtel , une soirée dansante est organisée jusqu’à 2h du matin on ne pouvait dormir !! quand de plus les fenêtres absolument pas isolé du bruit nous donne la sensation de dormir dans la rue dès que l’activité matinale reprends !! vraiment je le dit sincèrement cet hôtel ne mérite pas ses clients !! une bonne note aux petits personnels d’étages , aimable et serviable ! le reste de la réception au bar …0/20 !

Spent two weeks in October/November 2022 with a large training group. Hotel is perfect for business meetings. Food is great, rooms spacious, air con works, back up generator, nice swimming pool. Beds lasher and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially for us Anglophile’s. They were bilingual and sorted out any issue. I made the mistake of allowing my tour operator to book two nights at Onomo Hotel in Dakar. You’ll be sorry if you stay here. If you want a room… -that has no tea, sugar, cup, glass, a dirty electric kettle that is black at the base and pours black specks, book your stay here. -where you make 6 trips to the Front Desk to try to fix a broken a/c, book your stay here. -that has a broken a/c and 6 agents tell you it’s not broken, book your stay here. If you want to see roaches running around on the floor in the walkway, book your stay here. If you want a hotel agent to tell you that to warm up your room, open the window—at night when it is colder outside than your room, book your stay here. Only one of the 6 hotel agents finally explained that there are three temperature options in the room—Fan, Heat, Cold. The numbers on the thermostat are meaningless. All other 5 hotel agents fiddled with numbers on the thermostat as if it was a real thermostat. In my room, the thermostat was stuck at Cold. None of the 5 agents had any idea how to troubleshoot a broken thermostat. I advised the front desk agent Yanique at 5.30pm, 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9pm that I needed tea, sugar, a cup. He arrived at 9.53pm, woke me up to deliver them. He offered no apology. The hotel agent offered me a new room. After not sleeping for two nights because the room was so cold, I accepted the offer and shuddered at the thought of packing up my stuff at 4am on the second night. He checked the computer, wrote down several numbers. He then knocked on two room doors and wake up TWO guests at 4.45am! Stay out of here if you want a good nights’ sleep!

Hotels are supposed to be your home away from home, and in the 10 years I have been traveling, mostly Africa, 34 African countries, and counting, this has been true until King Fahd. My stay in each country is an average of 3 weeks. I get to know the staff and begin to feel welcome and comfortable; there are always small things, but they generally work out with the help of a willing and able staff. This hotel is convenient to work, and as its website boasts, caters to the business clientele, and has WI-FI, if I come back to Senegal, I will stay somewhere else and make do with the traffic. The housekeeping staff at King Fahd will try to accommodate you, and they do as well as possible, given the rules, but the rooms don’t get much of deep cleaning. The view can also be grand, but you have to ask specifically for a room with a view. Ms Khady Diatta at the front desk is always warm and welcoming very professional and made any front desk transaction seamless. Sadly she is but one. King Fahd is uncomfortable from the beginning, you get some help but not without having to beg for help/service from 3-4 different people. They are the most untrained “hospitality” staff I have encountered, and they will tell you what they think you want to hear, not the truth. Zero communication amongst staff. The WI-FI will not work for hours to days, but they will be surprised when you tell them it is not working if you complain to enough people; in my case, 5 people in one day. They sent two people in the AM to confirm the trouble with WI-FI, but they were not IT, and nothing came of it. I Spoke 2 times to the manager (Fatou Naiaye), 2 hours apart, and she told me they had hotspots available. I have never been more uncomfortable after interacting with a manager than with this manager, who became angry, just short of yelling at me after I tried to explain my frustration with the many things promised but unavailable in this hotel. The restaurant for breakfast is a whole other YUCK; the same wet sponge is used to “clean” the table and mat, swipe the mat, but there is a layer of forearm sweat lingering on the tables that, even after I pointed out made the server giggle and made no more effort to clean. There is no spray disinfectant for cleaning. That said, if you show up to breakfast after 7:00 AM, on my first Sunday, they haven’t rid up the tables or reset them, so you have to go look for flatware and napkins as well as a spot to eat, and they literally ask you what you are looking for!! Same breakfast food every day for three weeks. This is when I decided I couldn’t eat in there just take bananas and yogurt; I tried to leave with two pieces of bread on a plate and yogurt with a spoon to my room but was chased down by Maître ď, who took my plate and spoon, now with two pieces of bread in fist and yogurt back to the room. Apparently, the restaurant manager will not allow flatware or plates/bowls to leave unless it is room service. The rooms are musty and damp, even th

on e de clients dans cette hotel .on vien souvent en famille .le petit dejeune c tres bon beaucoup de choix les chambre son propre.la picine c trp petit au terasse la nuit y a pas de lumier pour c pas bon pour famille . mais a chaque fois qu on revien les prix saugmente au lueux de nous fair un prix il nous augmente . on e sortir pour prend le petit dejeuner et on a bien mis ne pas deranger. qu on on revien on c surprix que la femme de menage elle rentre et elle a prix notre carte.nous on etzis pas preparer pour que personne rentre dans la chambre.on a dis ca au proprietere. apres on sort on revien on vois que notre carte c desactiver ..on va a la reception il disent qu il c sont tromper il on mis juste une nuit et nous on a deja payer 2 nuits de notre arriver. la meuilleur de notre retour on rendre la carte a la reception .la femme nous dis il faut payer de diference la nuit c 77200 au lieu de 75000 .mais madam on deja payer et regard la factur elle dis non il c son tromper c pas ca le prix ooye 4500 il laisse les client fache et decu et on plus c leur faute .et apres une longue discusion on payer la difference mais c vraiment honteux pour un hotel 4 etoile. mais sayer on va plus revenir dans cette hotel tres hobteux

Superb Olympic size(?) pool., with attendant and scrubby towels. Set in gardens overlooking the sea (and the ugly LPG tanker/power station moored between Dakar and Goree) Hundreds of kites soaring at dusk. Two nights at start of tour, one night at the end, Rooms differed. Ground floor room, ,hole in the mosquito mesh, broken hairdryer, cracks in plaster, lighting dim . First floor room ,all worked, not dim, a little larger. Clean bedding, comfortable beds. WiFi worked in rooms. Breakfast :Bean to cup coffee machine, dates(one day only) salad ,real cheese, ubiquitous French style pastries, bread and (L'horreur!) La vache qui rit cheese triangle and chocolate spread!! They also served omelettes on request. Fresh juices baobab / bisap (hibiscus) Restaurant ,reasonable selection of food but as I only eat small amounts they were quite happy to serve ”starters” with additional vegetables instead of a full plate. Bar area between restaurant and pool, serves alcohol and will, if you ask ,serve FRESH juices not on menu, ginger , lemon , baobab or bisap Seemingly the hotel has been extended ,BUT one whole section is but a shell, with room doors and windows but nothing else. Staff helpful, some speak English but not all. Location: walk out to the left and follow up to a dingy lighthouse and run down area. Out to the right, walk past upmarket apartments and cliff side clubs along to the commercial port area. Neither direction offers any eatery ,so unless you veer off left towards town on the way to the port ,the hotel facilities are it.

Nice place to stay even though it sometimes felt like the middle of a street. The staff were very nice and helpful, the breakfast was healthy and filling, a good start to the day. The location was good for all the places we wanted to visit. Even though the light went of sometimes and the wifi did not always work, I would say we enjoyed our stay here.
