定了標準間，酒店服務很好，大堂寬敞乾淨，有電梯，門口雖然有台階但是也有拉行李的斜坡。定了雙床房，不過兩個床分開在兩個房間，一個大約16平，一個大約12平。小冰箱提供了冰水和冰可樂，還提供了零食和常温水。門口有停車位，不過有點少，二十個車位左右吧。服務員小姐姐挺好的，有電蚊香液提供。衞生間很乾凈，還有洗手液和洗衣液提供。整體挺滿意的。

Close to airport but walking is not convenient and safe because you have to cross several roads with buy traffic. Hotel provided shuttle bus to the airport. Front desk and concierge Staff are helpful except the driver who picked us up. We are a couple in our seventies but the driver didn't offer any help to take our 23 kg luggage onto the van (the driver took us to the airport the next morning did help). We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and the food was delicious. Room is spacious. Will stay again.

This is a wonderful hotel located round the corner from the metro station and slap bang in the middle of the many malls and food outlets. As such, it's in a great location for tourists and visitors to this wonderful city. The hotel is big and spacious. The typical room is very very large compared to the average hotel, and the price is very cheap, representing excellent value for money. For anyone visiting downtown, I highly recommend this hotel. The staff were all professional and courteous and the whole experience of staying at such nice hotels made my trip to China all the more memorable.

The location is very nice. There are many restaurants and banks, subway stations, and traditional markets.
Hotel staffs are kind but they can't speak English or other languages.
The room is clean and the toilet, and bathroom are also clean.
Especially breakfast is competitive, quality is good for the price(45RMB).

I liked the cozy room. The location was convenient as the hotel was near shopping mall, restaurants, and tourist attractions etc.
But above all, the staff was excellent who went extra mile to provide superb service. I especially would like to praise one particular staff (工号F03) who was extremely helpful and wanting to assist to make my stay a great one. Thank you so much!

1. The hotel is located right smack in the middle of action. There was a street food next door, with McD, Pizza Hut and KFC all within 05 mins of walking. There was a mall with a Walmart hypermarket at the underground level nearby. It is convenient for those who stayed more than a few nights and needed to provision for work in Dalian.
2. There is a university nearby, plus a hill overlooking the Dalian city which you can conveniently walk/jog up to in the morning/evening.
3, The room is sufficiently well spaced, the bed and pillows are comfy, the lights are decently illuminant, the shower water pressure strong and the temperature hot when you need it ; the room is well decorated, there is enough work space on the table, there is a fridge ; the basin, the toilet bowl, and the shower room are independent of each other. In other words, a well thought out room layout. The lighting control is well calibrated, the central air conditioning is quiet, there is a special pop-out plug points on the table for laptops and phone charging.
4. The breakfast is good, a bit of every kind, mainly Chinese dish but some Western oriented salad style vege/fruits for those who need it. Milk is available (not something to be taken for granted in China as milk is not commonly available)
5. There is a free laundry room for use, the detergent and softener are provided free-of-charge ; iron and iron board is available as well.
6. The hotel service is tightly run by its Manager who ensure the staff are always tending as soon as possible to the customers. A special thanks to reception staff 孙晓辉 for patiently helping out with China-specific app for about 30 mins.

我我叫莎莎This is an honest review that is not meant to dissuade anyone but to offer a thorough unbiased review. My opinion of New World before my stay was that it was a 5 star hotel, it certainly wasn't horrible, but after my stay and comparing to other Dalian hotels in its league that I've stayed in, think it doesn't fit the bill for a 5 star hotel. I can't complain about the service, Check in was swift and we got a free room upgrade and spa coupons, but the hotel room carpet was stained, there was dust in some places and the furniture and room amenities are aging, slightly dated and need to be improved (I didn't feel the need to zoom in on those issues so the pictures wont reflect this) . I loved that there were lovely art pieces throughtout the hotel and the fitness centre was top notch especially the heated pool. The breakfast buffet had fewer options than expected for a hotel of that standard but it was honestly delicious and satisfactory, they had both Chinese and Western dishes, fruit and cereal. The waitresses from Guo restaurant had the best service they went out of their way to make our dinner pleasant. The most disconcerting issue I had with New World was that the room deposit refund took longer than I've ever experienced, I found it highly unusual and somewhat disappointing because I've stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels and usually the refund is instant but they told us it would take up to 3 days. Maybe this is standard practice for them but it made no sense to me and I've never had to wait that long. In any case surely it doesn't take 3 days to check a room!

KKeithWe stayed at this excellent hotel for three nights during our first visit to Dalian in May. The room was very clean and had some very useful amenities such as a refrigerator, clothes washer and a bidet toilet. It was very convenient to wash our clothes and save money.
The staff was very helpful and kind. Mr. Chen helped me find an excellent Thai massage spa (Tai Baba) nearby and helped us get taxis. We are especially grateful to the manager Mr. Leon. He left his busy post at the front desk and walked with me several blocks to get medicine for my wife who was briefly ill.
We opted for the Chinese breakfast all three days and it was very good. However, the western food selection was limited. That was not a problem for us because the Chinese food was delicious. We are from the USA.
Mr. Leon recommended an excellent Japanese restaurant (Konoha or Jiuye) with a huge menu selection in the same building. We ate there twice and there was a waitress who spoke fluent Japanese. There are many Japanese restaurants in close walking distance to the hotel. Also, the hotel is located near a shopping mall with a huge food court on the top floor. We recommend Chinese and foreigners to stay at the Shan Shui S Hotel when visiting Dalian. It made our trip to the beautiful, friendly city of Dalian memorable.

I understand they have difficulties to read english name, so i have to wait about 20 minutes for check in. For the room and facilities are good and clean. I booked for 2 nights but they don’t provide any room cleaning and mineral water for the second day. Overall it is worth it for budget traveller , it is not far, not close too, from the subway station line 2 : yi er jiu jie station. I walked less than 10 minutes to reach the station, using Baitu Maps. Dalian is really beautiful, will come back again next year.
