Ulasan Ruishi Hotel Dalian

An established five-star hotel with an excellent and convenient location. Parking is available both above ground and underground; the underground can be a bit chaotic but still accessible. The lobby is on the eighth floor, smells wonderful, and feels bright and distinctive. Changing elevators is a minor inconvenience. The rooms are a bit dated and not very large, especially the bathroom where you have to shower in the tub – understandable given how difficult renovations can be. The windows don't open for ventilation, which isn't ideal. The swimming pool is decent, a 20-meter pool, so it's good for a workout. Breakfast is nice with a decent variety and many made-to-order options. Overall, the value for money is pretty good. If you don't have extremely high expectations for the bathroom, rooms, and facilities, it's still a good option, as it's one of Dalian's oldest five-star hotels and still retains its charm. I'd recommend staying here.

This hotel is conveniently located above Dalian Shopping Center, so shopping and dining are right downstairs. Everything you need is there, and it's just a few to ten minutes' walk to the bus stop, subway station, and train station. It's an older hotel, but the front desk staff are excellent and very accommodating. The room size is decent, and the bedding is good. The windows seal well, and the air conditioning works great with minimal noise. However, the soundproofing between rooms isn't great; you can hear conversations from next door. The bathroom has an old-fashioned layout, requiring you to stand in the tub to shower, and the faucets are an older style, though the hot water comes out quickly. Overall, the hotel offers decent value for money.

The service was decent, and the environment was clean and tidy. The views were beautiful, and the room was spacious. However, some of the facilities are a bit old. The air conditioning didn't seem very responsive, and the pillows were too soft for my liking.

Every time I visit Dalian, I usually stay at the Kempinski. This time, due to the price increase during the summer, I chose the Ruishi Hotel instead. Overall, it matched the group-buy price, but it wasn't particularly good value for money. Firstly, there are no delivery robots, and external food deliveries aren't allowed upstairs, which is extremely inconvenient. In this day and age, not having such a service feels really outdated. Secondly, this is the first time I've seen ice cream sold by weight, and you can't have more or less than the exact amount. It's quite unusual. Thirdly, there's only one charging port on one side of the bed. If two people are staying, it's impossible for both to charge their devices simultaneously. Fourthly, the bathtub drains very slowly. By the end of a shower, you're standing in a pool of dirty water.

Facilities: Smart toilet, bathtub, spacious room, very comfortable bed. The view is excellent, with a panoramic view of Laodong Park from the window. Laodong Park is just across the road, and it's very close to the commercial street, night market, train station, and subway. I enjoyed staying in this hotel. 5 stars but reasonable price. The room was clean and spacious and the view outside looked out towards the sea and harbour. They made the beds every morning. I did not eat the breakfast as downstairs and surrounding area had plenty of cheaper options due to being next to many shopping malls. The metro stop is not so far but a little more inconvenient to get to the main train station by walking. Line 2 takes you to the airport in less than 40 minutes for 4RMB. As the metro is nearby you can get to many local tourist places quickly and cheaply. Highly recommend if you want to spend a little more but have close access to get around.

Nice location and big room However, the decoration looks quite old, corridor lighting is very dark, looks like a 3* hotel only.  The breakfast at 100RMB has no much to eat and drink.  It’s definitely not a 5* hotel.  I can hardly consider this hotel again.
