To begin this is a new hotel, it is position next to a Mexican bus depot and a lot of construction. It has sketchy people staying there. It is not in a good location in Dallas. Upon my arrival, I wanted to change hotels to a safer area because there is barbed wire around the gate which was a total issue for me. Upon check in, the over night receptionist AGREED that it was not a safe area and she understood me wanting to check out, however it was 2am and a long drive from Houston. She encouraged me to stay one night and see. This was a 4 night business trip, they had security so I did stay, she upgraded the room- great. The rooms were clean but the staff is incompetent. Housekeeping cleaned the room and reset the door- had to go get a new key. The breakfast was BAD and it is normally a lot better when we stay at other Marriott with free breakfast. On the last day I come down and asked the manger could I check out as I noticed my corporate card was charged and needed the correct card to be used. He said it was too early to check out (as I was trying to resolve the issue) but that the charges on the corporate card were only holds and when I got ready to leave I could use another card. I attempt to check out that evening, and the receptionist tells me she can’t check me out with a different card!!! Currently the charges remain on the corporate card. It’s ridiculous that no one outside of the manager can refund and charge another card. She calls the manager he does not answer. I email the manager he does not respond. The receptionist was totally clueless and undertrained. Ledger issues can happen but someone should be available to help. I am a platinum elite member and I am totally disappointed by my experience here. Will never return!

On 11/11/2023, The night auditor Robert knocked on room door at 6:50am while I was in bed just falling as sleep. On the second knock, he unlocked the door and barged in without my permission. Luckily the inside lock stopped his entry. At 11:30pm on the same night, he return to knock harder and say, “You do not have a reservation and have 10 mins to be downstairs or he will call police to kick me out! Had already dressed in nightgown and about to wash my face in the bathroom at the time. I felt very uncomfortable from the morning already. He demanded I open the door to talk with him knowing I was not dressed properly. Security for the property was present. Robert was very aggressive, loud, yelling over my responses. Never in all the years traveling has any in employee in hospitality industry behave in this fashion. Checked into hotel 11/1/2023 and already a paying guest in the same room all week. I sat in the lobby for 3 hrs with uncontrollable panic attacks, shakes and could not talk much let alone move out of room at 1 am. As a Titanium Elite member, the rest of the hotel staff had been wonderful all week. This was a horrible experience! Felt like Robert was going to attack me. I left this hotel with the local police escorting me out the front door per Robert’s request. If I did not leave, Robert was going to file criminal trespassing charges. This was embarrassing, degrading, unprofessional and handled aggressively by this employee. Robert did not apologize or offer any aide during the three hour panic attack. Rm #226.

Don’t stay at this hotel. It is next to a sports bar that doesn’t close on weekdays until 2am and blasts music u til then. I am a titanium lifetime member of Marriott… I made my reservation well in advance snd I was still put on the incredibly loud side. When I asked why this happened the woman at the front desk shrugged and said my notes about preferences don’t show up in their system…not something I’ve ever heard at another Marriott. Even so, my titanium status and advance reservation should have had my in a quieter room…if they had bothered to check my status. Loud, no attention to their data, and not helpful.

I an AT&T employee needed a clean, warm, safe location when I came to Dallas. I was extremely alarmed to see the easy access from street. Homeless encampments surround this hotel. THATS NOT SAFE. There is no security or fence around the location. Any random human can walk in off the street. You do not even need a key to get on elevator. When I checked in and went to room- I had a double queen when I paid and asked for a king room. I went back to front desk and begin asking questions. Your attendant told me ”YOU SHOULD HAVE BOOKED THROUGH MARRIOT NOT AN OUTSIDE GROUP.” Outside promo groups is how you get these rooms booked. The deals offered in booking, *******, etc offers deals on the trash you put out has safe, sleeping locations. That was a slap in the face as a customer and I'm sure to the other groups who promote this hotel. As I glanced around halls- Customers were told to put trash in hall for pick up. I checked in at 5pm, the same trash was in hall when I departed at 8a the next morning. It's smelt like a dumpster. And yes, I checked out early to go to the HILTON OR SHERATON which was so much cleaner and fenced with security guards. Since, I have made sure to ring the alarm in all 4 AT&T towers downtown as well as surrounding cities NEVER to stay at this location. We love ANATOLE- a Hilton hotel. They would never point the blame at a customer for poor service, unsafe environment, unwillingness to help. I will continue to voice my complaint until I get a call. 2024 its tik tok time, I do have access to walk off street and film and take additional pictures of hotel so you can see the surrounding environment as well as trashy inside. I have not gotten a call or email to try to reconcile the issue either after launching multiple complaints. You customer service is HORRIBLE. So, I will continue to post on Fairfield Trash Inn.

What a great room and great location! The hotel was new and clean; our room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was yummy. We have only a couple of complaints. 1. We had a drawer in our room that would not stay shut. We told the front desk as we left. He replied that they were aware and that they had taped the drawer but someone had taken off the tape. Well, that response was certainly a disappointment. I don't think that the solution is tape. 2. The coffee maker was in a shelf that appeared to be made for it. However, the design was not as good as it appeared. There was no plugin. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great option if visiting downtown Dallas if you don't want to pay the cost of a downtown hotel.
