I RECENTLY STAYED AT SILVER SAND BEACH RESORT IN DAMAN NEAR DEVKA BEACH ON 1ST JULY, AND I MUST EXPRESS MY DEEP DISAPPOINTMENT WITH THE NUMEROUS ISSUES WE ENCOUNTERED THROUGHOUT OUR STAY. I FEEL IT IS IMPORTANT TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE TO ALERT OTHER TRAVELERS TO THE PROBLEMS WE FACED. FIRSTLY, ONE OF THE MAJOR INCONVENIENCES WAS THE LACK OF CAR PARKING FACILITIES AT THE RESORT. THIS RESULTED IN UNNECESSARY HASSLE AND ADDED STRESS TO OUR TRIP, AS WE HAD TO SEARCH FOR ALTERNATIVE PARKING ARRANGEMENTS IN THE AREA. MOREOVER, THE BEHAVIOR OF THE VALET STAFF WAS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. THEY NOT ONLY DISPLAYED EXTREME RUDENESS BUT ALSO ENGAGED IN A VERBAL ALTERCATION WITH MY FRIEND, RESORTING TO THE USE OF OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE. SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCT IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY. FURTHERMORE, WE WERE REQUIRED TO DEPOSIT INR 1500/- FOR THE SAFETY OF THE RESORT'S PROPERTY. WHILE I UNDERSTAND THE NEED FOR SECURITY MEASURES, THE RESORT SHOULD HAVE COMMUNICATED THIS POLICY CLEARLY DURING THE BOOKING PROCESS. THIS UNEXPECTED DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT FELT UNNECESSARY AND INCONVENIENT. OUR ROOM ALSO HAD SEVERAL MAINTENANCE ISSUES. THE GEYSER WAS NOT WORKING, DEPRIVING US OF HOT WATER DURING OUR STAY. ADDITIONALLY, THE MAIN LIGHT SWITCH WAS FAULTY, CAUSING INCONVENIENCE AND DISCOMFORT IN TERMS OF LIGHTING WITHIN THE ROOM. THE CLEANLINESS STANDARDS AT THE RESORT WERE DEPLORABLE. THE BEDSHEET PROVIDED IN OUR ROOM WAS UNCLEAN AND EMITTED A FOUL ODOR, MAKING IT DIFFICULT FOR US TO SLEEP COMFORTABLY THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. FURTHERMORE, TO OUR SHOCK AND DISMAY, THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SHOCK IN THE LIGHT SWITCH BOX, RESULTING IN MY FRIEND SUSTAINING AN INJURY. ADDING TO THE LIST OF DISAPPOINTMENTS, THE SWIMMING POOL HAD A FOUL SMELL, WHICH MADE IT UNPLEASANT AND UNHYGIENIC FOR GUESTS TO USE. OVERALL, I MUST SAY THAT OUR EXPERIENCE AT SILVER SAND BEACH RESORT WAS NOTHING SHORT OF A NIGHTMARE. THE LACK OF CAR PARKING FACILITIES, RUDE BEHAVIOR OF THE VALET STAFF, UNEXPECTED DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS, FAULTY ROOM AMENITIES, UNCLEAN BEDSHEETS, ELECTRICAL HAZARDS, AND UNPLEASANT SWIMMING POOL CONDITIONS ALL CONTRIBUTED TO A HIGHLY UNSATISFACTORY STAY. I URGE THE MANAGEMENT OF SILVER SAND BEACH RESORT TO ADDRESS THESE ISSUES PROMPTLY AND TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION TO IMPROVE THEIR SERVICES. SUCH NEGLIGENCE AND POOR STANDARDS ARE NOT WHAT GUESTS EXPECT FROM A REPUTED RESORT. I STRONGLY ADVISE POTENTIAL GUESTS TO RECONSIDER THEIR CHOICE OF ACCOMMODATION AND EXPLORE ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS TO ENSURE A PLEASANT STAY.

The whole property is good, the views are really great, pool is well lit and decorated. Overall the view of the property is really really good. But, only issue is the staff, thus some stars less .....they are not courteous and make you feel you are asking anything out of blue...we went to place asked for any complimentary upgrades , they said rooms are their but pay for it and get it...we said ok .. considering it was needed....their are complimentary welcome drink, which is not served to you unless you ask for....then they say pool is open from 7 am to 7 pm and suddenly you see a whole block of PPL arnd po from 4 pm for arrangements, so no privacy and they say pool is closed for maintenance from 5 pm - which actually was not and it was given to a pool private party ....so all in all you have lost your pool time ..wherein you also paid extra for room....next they say you will get complimentary cake ..which als you have to remind at restaurant and they as well make you feel as if you have asked for specific out of blue....candle light dinner is really nice....but the lights on trees and str shaped all where shut...so it was literally like have food in dark with mosquito butting all over ....next they will say you get 20% off in dinner and in actual bill it is 10%...on asking they said you must have heard wrong we said 10%only....next day you go to swimming pool and ask them to give the pool benches.. .they will ruudely reply ..we will do it but will take time....on insisting they made arrangement of one chair and wen back to their natural course....this was around 10 am.....the pool which was under so called.maintenance had litter in it...party ties, paper fallen all over and so...then we asked for mat in benches for which they said they don't have....which later I found were lying inside the washroom area...for which they answered they are dirty so we said it is not their.... All in all the experience makes you feel that you pay and get nothing....thus the frustration...and yes it is definitely due to the hotel staff and ***agement...which makes you feel that way... So please ensure when you are going....their is no pool party that nite...else the pool will be kind off blocked from 3 pm onwards for arrangments till 10 or 11 am next morning...which is kind off 90% of your stay time... Staff at reception may tell you something...but get it in writing... Lastly...if you want something in room....please plan to call half he early...as that is their lead time.... Rest the property is really good, if staff is changed...you will enjoy it..
Palette - Hotel Ocean Inn

Ocean Inn hotel is bank opposite devka beach and we get nice sea view from their executive rooms. We had been here on the Diwali weekend and the whole place was full due to on season. We can see the beautiful promenade too from the windows. We has booked 3 executive sea facing rooms for a total of 7 guests. The hotel is good and rooms are spacious, however few things the management should address is cleanliness, we reached late though the rooms were said to be ready there was sand at many areas, had to call housekeeping to get it cleaned. The next thing is the lift, dosent seem to be maintained, it stopped working and never started until we were at the property, imagine how difficult it can be for senior citizens. Swimming pool is certainly missing, which would have been such great fun. The restaurant ambience is superb and it is also sea facing. Food is quality and taste is also very good, the breakfast spread was good enough and all the items were well made. Wifi was sporadically working, so we used our mobile data only. Overall an ok place to stay, if management addresses these small issues should be fun place to stay.

I wouldn’t call it a hotel it was a funny arrangement. There was no reception or a trained staff. The hotel is 4 floors from which two floors are not owned by them which was very very strange.The lift was not working and all rooms were located above the third floor so u have to climb stairs ti reach to your room, you have to carry your own luggage since there is no staff. We got the shock as soon as we reached the room the bathrooms dint have latch, there were no wardrobes and surprisingly no intercom for room service you have to climb the stairs to make the complain.also they provide no toileteries or drinking water. Also the rooms had tv but tv was kept as a showpiece with remotes or tv connections when we contacted the owner on the phone he said why you want tv? He is the most ridiculous person we ever met. There was no drawers or wardrobe so you cant unpack your stuff. The bathroom windows were broken so the mosquitoes kept coming. The location is worst you cant even locate it on gps. You wont get any vehicle to come out of there or to visit any places. Its very very far from the main area. There were lots of stray dogs moving outside the hotel ready to bite you and give you rabies. There was no eatery nearby you have to walk two kms to get tea or coffee. I am suggesting them to the hotel asap!!! Occupancy was zero you should name it ghost house!!

Average i stayed at reevanta with a sun-day checkin and monday checkout, i chose the hotel just for price. Parking is outside the hotel but safe, security guard is more concerned about owners car rather than making sure all cars and bikes are accommodated, staff is courteous but they are not well trained and i had a major glitch where i was charged for the room even after being a prepaid and had to wait for more than 24 hours for a refund, they did not have the courtesy to call and apologise and inform also during checkin the room was not ready at 12 which is their standard checkin time. Service is slow and if you ask for something from restaurant the first answer is no, ordered a sandwich which was below par it just had cucumber and cheese, i would recommend eat outside. Rooms are the only thing that is good, linens are clean.
