Herods Dead Sea – A Premium Collection by Fattal Hotels

I arrived in the afternoon and went straight to the private beach, then to the inside jacuzzi + sauna + steam room + heated floating pool. The bedroom was super clean, had a nice smell & was overlooking the infinity pool and the beach. The buffet for lunch and dinner was delicious. Breakfast was brought to my room 😋. The massages were super relaxing. Needless to say, I had an awesome time there.

My partner and I stayed at The Herods Hotel in the Dead Sea Ffor 10 days in February. I booked the hotel ( through *********** ) almost 3 months before our arrival. The room we were given this time was situated right over the pool. Loud music is played constantly between 9am and 5pm by the pool ( except on Shabbat ). Added to this a renovation of the pool area started on the Sunday after we arrived. This entailed drilling, grinding, hammering and dust and continued during the length of our stay. It was not pleasant being in our room (or by the pool). When I complained about this we were offered one free lunch or dinner. The response from the management was woeful. The hotel management must have known that the pool was due to be renovated and, as we had booked well in advance, had enough time to inform us of this so we could make a decision as to whether we wanted to continue with our booking. The hotel also had time to allocate a room at the other end of the hotel so the noise would have been somewhat less intrusive and the hotel should also have taken the length of time that we were due to stay ( 10 days ) into consideration when allocating the room. It is a 5 star spa hotel - loud music does not produce a feeling of calm and is not at all conducive to relaxation or healing - and why was the pool not closed when the work being done obviously posed a health and safety threat to visitors ? I wrote a 'proper' letter to Mr Fattall (recorded delivery) and did not even receive an acknowledgement, let alone a reply. Terrible customer service all round. Will not be returning !

I'd like to say I really liked the place, but I can't. First problem is the location - it is completely isolated from any restaurants or shops. Second problem is the staff - they really don't care about the guests. I met one nice staff member - the woman who checked me out of my room on my last morning - but that was it. The breakfast and dinner buffets are overwhelming - many, many choices. The water facilities are good. The fitness center is large and well equipped. There is "entertainment" in the evening - but caters to old, retired guests.

The staff at Herods ( Dead Sea Israel) were the true stars of the show. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth and professionalism. Receptionist was very thoughtful and helpful.housekeeping was attentive to request.They truly went above and beyond to make my stay feel personalized and special.

Easy access to the public beach which was very nice. Orange juice at breakfast was excellent.

This is a big hotel , perfect location on the Dead Sea beach . Rooms are good size , great sea view, comfortable bead , clean , all amenities, but will need some renovation like the hotel as a whole. Very good breakfast and dinner with lots of variety, well cooked and very tasty. Private beach , very nice and clean . Outdoor beautiful swimming pool, indoor hot Dead Sea water as well as nice Spa , saunas, jacuzzi. Very recommended, only will have to go through a total renovation in the coming years .

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The private beach on the Dead Sea was nice and well maintained. The sunrise view from the room and wading in the Dead Sea at sunrise were amazing experiences. The hotel was busy with lots of tour groups. Food was typical of large hotels that cater to tour groups.
