Nordport used to be a decent business hotel. It isn’t anymore. It has poor maintenance (my air/heat didn’t work, and was noisy, warm, and dank, keeping my up all night). They now have irregular cleaning on request only, and even so they have dirty sheets to begin with. The few remaining amenities are nonfunctioning, there is poor food and customer service, with the cafe and bar closed. There are minimal business services, and as it sits in an isolated location, very few options for service, food, or other activities. There are almost no welcoming touches in the rooms anymore which might make it more tolerable, from decor to water to soaps and moisturiser. The food deserves a special mention for its low quality…as well as it’s charmless setting and gruff service. The service deserves mention as well..it was either absent, or vaguely hostile, as if guests were an intrusion and a hassle. I suspect it’s because they are understaffed, undertrained, and not well managed post covid. They seem to be renting it out to cost conscious pensioners to bring in cash, which of course doesn’t add to its ambiences It’s unfortunate as it was fairly decent. Certainly even before it had some deficiencies, but they were both consistent and acceptable, as evidenced in the reviews. It would be nice if they did the work to get it back up to its former state, but until then I can’t see it surviving, and certainly wouldn’t recommend it until they address with action.
