Tha staff we're friendly very helpful. The place spotless. There's not a lot more I can possibly say but I'll be back and I would recommend this travelodge too anyone.

First room allocated and the tv didn’t work but staff kindly moved me to another room. Unfortunately the next morning at 8:30am there were workmen in the corridor replacing the ceiling tiles so there was loud hammering, drilling and sawing. The hotel manager refunded me 1 night stay but I don’t understand why they would use the rooms if there was repairs going on. Leaving the room I had to step over paint pots and tools.

Just looking for somewhere to rest and relax between our visit to Derby and onward journey to Matlock. Excellent value for money room fresh and clean overlooking the cricket ground and a wonderful sun rise.

Staying for almost 3 weeks can be a lot of time to be in a hotel bedroom away from your home. However, every one of the staff travel at Lodge Derby cricket ground made us feel at home they couldn’t do enough. They always had a smile and it felt more like helping friends than just Clients walking in and out.

Maybe we were unlucky but over our two rooms we had damaged walls, scruffy chairs, non-functioning room air conditioners/heating, outside wall running with condensation, broken shower and filthy bathroom and extractor fan - it appeared to have a 'growth' about to come out into the bathroom. Both rooms on floor 2....

Great value hotel with free parking bear to the city centre. Staff very welcoming and friendly which was really appreciated as a lone female traveller. Room very clean and comfy bed. Read other reviews which mention noise from other guests but that is just pot-luck and can hapoen in 5-star hotels. Evening menu was ok but breakfast was good. Would definately stay again.

What a fantastic place to stay ! I spent many weeks here due to personal reasons, I would definitely recommend the hotel to family and friends, I was welcome by Marie and Kiera on a arrival and what credit they are to the travelodge, I was resured I would be safe staying there and true to word I was, I was welcomed every time I walked in from work, like I was a new guest checking in, the room was fantastic for me and my dogs. I had a few issues that were passed on to Jess, and I can definitely say Jess resolved them for me, I just want to say a massive thanks to Jess,Marie and Kiera for making mine and the dogs stay perfect

Arrived for a check in after a short walk from the city centre. Probably one, if not the best welcome we have recieved from a travelodge. Our room was on the top floor and overlooked the cricket ground. The room was nice, a more modern tv that had access to the majority of the channels (only tried 3) desk. Choice of pillows, 2 chairs, radiator and working aircon. Bathroom was nice and clean with a good shower. But, the walls arent soundproofed and could quite clearly hear the people in the next room as well as on the landing. And that was the main problem. We try and be considerate about others resting. However, others arent considerate. Banging of the landing doors. Walking the landing shouting and swearing. Then slamming their door, just to come back out after less than 5mins same thing, banging of doors, swearing, shouting, then could hear the lifts quite clearly as well. Signs about asking for consideration but get ignored. This was after midnight and then same thing around in the morning. Also, glad the blackout curtain worked as the room was overlooking the cricket ground, that has a bunch of lights around. Due to the noise level it is hard to recommend, however, if take the lack of quiet it wasnt that bad and was quite nice. But the lack of quietness and thin walls makes it hard to wanting to go back. Cant say about the food as we didnt eat here

This hotel is so great. It's a fantastic price, less than 30 quid! The staff are really friendly and nice. Free parking! It's close to town. It's always clean and tidy. The rooms are a great size. I've never know a hotel be so good and be so cheap! I've stayed in some really expensive hotels that have been so much worse than this.

Shockingly in a state of disrepair! Aircon / heating system is broken and apparently has been for many months. Booked into an accessible room and when I asked to be moved as I don’t need an accessible room but someone else might, I was told I can’t move as it “would displace bookings for double beds”. The staff had to give me one of their heaters as the room had zero heating. Decor is really bad with walls marked badly and skirting boards all damaged with chunks missing.

the hotel is just cheap ,but you cannot expect any service at all. The room was very cold. There's a small heater which was just not enough . There was an internet connecting issue, but the reception was not willing to help find a solution but just said it's none of their business but I need to communicate with the service provider...

always stay at derby cricket club when available, lots of free parking, great staff, clean hotel, easy access to motorway
