5 star luxury room. Spotlessly clean beautiful room. Complimentary drinks in the fridge and lovely smellies in the bathroom also Complimentary. Had room service and the food was delicious (steak burger) Would recommend this place to anyone Thank you to all staff that made my stay special.

Went to the stables early Jan, from the pictures on the website it looked perfect and when we arrived it was exactly as we’d hoped, the room was immaculate and you can tell they’ve paid attention to even small details, could of sat in the hot tub all evening! All round fantastic stay!

The Stables was an absolute little gem of a place. 14 of us went for the night following a hike and took the whole place over which was fab as a couple of the rooms had spa access with sauna and jacuzzi and we had it all to ourselves, perfect to enjoy a glass of fizz in after a long walk with the girls whilst the boys enjoyed their hot tubs on the balcony. A short stroll to the town where we had a nice dinner at one the local restaurants then on to one of the bars. Great fun and a very nice breakfast in the hotels sister pub the bowling green. The rooms are stunning modern and contemporary the bed is so comfortable. We will definitely be back.

My wife & I stopped here on the way home after celebrating her birthday at the Malmaison in Manchester. The Stables absolutely knocked spots off the Manchester stay, hands down! We entered the Bowling Green pub to check in an hour early and enjoyed a drink in the bar whilst we waited. Amy and the staff were very attentive, keeping glasses full and providing snacks. They even had the room ready ahead of schedule allowing us to check-in early and enjoy the facilities. The room was excellent, superbly furbished with a lovely en-suite, all spotlessly clean. The staff had decorated the room with rose petals and balloons, on account of my wife’s birthday, which was a nice touch. There was a coffee machine, tea pot, fresh milk, the bed was super comfortable and the Japanese hot tub was a delight, especially as room service was on hand with pink champagne & chips! The attention to detail was immaculate. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. They really are steak aficionados. We would highly recommend the Stables.

We’ve just got back from a lovely stay here. The staff were so friendly, food was amazing and the room was perfect. Thank you for the little touches as we were celebrating our honeymoon, we really appreciated that. Thank you so much again and we can’t wait to return!

Could not give The Stables a high enough rating, everything was exceptionally brilliant from the moment of check in to the moment we checked out, the room was amazing and the breakfast was the best start to any day ever…… We will be back that is for sure 😊

Really nice place, clean modern rooms, enjoyed my 2 night stay, food in the pub attached was superb, the staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful. Forgot to collect my VAT Invoice for the room and left my evening meal invoice in the room, I rang the hotel and within a few short hours they had emailed both receipts, you don't get that kind of service everywhere, great place Great Food Great service, will definitely stay again.

The suite was amazing! It was spotless and very clean and the HUGE bath was an added delight! The bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in. The private spa was an added bonus it was beautiful and the food certainly did not disappoint it was delicious and great value for money. The surrounding village was beautiful and the Bowling green pub was lovely the breakfast was very good! I highly recommend a stay at the stables I wish I stayed longer!

A great location, extremely comfy bed and what a treat to have the Canadian bath on the balcony. Friendly staff at the Bowling Green at check in and breakfast. It’s an easy walk into Ashbourne and a great base for exploring the Derbyshire Dales.
