The staff was friendly, courteous and efficient. The breakfast each day was fantastic consisting of many extremely tasty options. The hotel is within walking distance of the lake, sights and restaurants. Clean, bright, enjoyable atmosphere.

My wife and I chose this hotel after looking at a number of others and it was a good choice. We wanted a pool and good facilities with good location for both train station and lake front and this hotel fitted perfectly. Better value than many others because it isn't cheap in Desenzano if you want a class hotel with good facilities. Quality breakfast and sizeable bedroom. Friendly staff and great pool area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and no hesitation to recommend. Edward and Christina McAlpine

This was my fifth time of staying in this hotel and, as always, it didn’t disappoint. From the warm welcome upon our arrival to the ample breakfast we couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Even on the one rainy day we were able to hunker down in the lounge with a couple of cold drinks and some snacks.

Lovely week at Hotel Nazionale, lovely rooms, good breakfast, and the best part really approachable staff, dealt with any inquiry we had, swiftly and efficiently, would highly recommend this hotel, and also Desenzano del Garda, as a place to go.

We have just returned from our stay at Hotel Nazionale, and it was faultless. The staff go above and beyond! We have a four yr old and a very busy 18 month old and as children are, they can be a little loud and are very playful, especially whilst having breakfast. The first morning we as parents were trying to settle them etc but all the staff made us feel at ease. They gave out pencils and colouring books, tried to talk with our toddler, and were very accommodating a friendly. The pool is fantastic alongside the food. The location is brilliant as you are only a small walk away from the centre, ferry port and train station. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Just returned from a week in this hotel and would thoroughly recommend. Although it states 3star I would suggest it’s worthy of a four star rating. Absolutely spotless, lovely staff and rooms. Great pool area with plenty of sunbeds and parasols which were definitely needed as the temperature hit 39 degrees some days! The Manager Christiano was excellent and always very pleasant and approachable. Although only half board there is a great choice at breakfast and snacks are available throughout the day. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk into town which has an an area in front of the promenade with lovely seating and gardens where most people gather day and evening. The ferry runs from the harbour every hour to neighbouring Simonie which is absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit. Needless to say the scenery round here is absolutely stunning. Excellent choice of restaurants but if u don’t like pizza, pasta or ice-cream ur in the wrong country! Will most definitely return to this hotel

Had a great stay at Hotel Nazionale. Lovely, clean room and facilities. Fabulous breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Central location near to the lake and the station for any trips. Would love to visit again in the not too distant future!

Stayed for 2 weeks in June. Hotel is set back from main road which we hadn't realised when booking but we weren't disturbed by traffic noise and the position was great . The old town and ferry terminal were a 5 minute walk and the train station 10 minutes in the other direction so easy to get to other lakeside towns as well as Verona and Milan. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants in Desenzano . The hotel has a nice pool area and there were always sun loungers and umbrellas available. Rooms were spacious ,clean and comfortable with efficient air con. Breakfast was good and hotel staff were all pleasant and helpful. Would recommend thishotel

Wonderful hotel with first class staff and facilities. The hotel is in a central location convenient for all the local restaurants and bars. The harbour is only a short stroll away and the train station just up a short hill. There is a supermarket 1 minute away and the buffet breakfast is extensive and of an excellent quality.
