New and clean hotel. Front desk very slow and bit robotic. Assigned wrong room and told given that Trip.com did not pass them the message. They were obviously lying as they said could read the first message regarding a bright room and yet both requests were written in the same field. Not flexible with check in and check out times. Its near the station but otherwise nothing in the immediate vicinity.

Stunning as Venice is, this little gem is just off the Grand Canal two steps away from the San Angelo Water Bus stop. We came to the hotel directly by the Venetian Waterbus from the airport - taking the orange line into the Grand Canal - the only way to arrive in this wonderful city. The hotel is a modern contemporary 4 star with a luxurious feel in decoration throughout the hotel including suite. Our “Supreme” was kindly upgraded to a larger bedroom overlooking a quiet Venetian street. Prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch, and check in with Constanza set the tone for our stay - warm & welcoming. The concierge had recommended our first nights meal - and we were glad we followed up on this as it was superb and only a quick 2 Minute walk away from the Rialto. The hotel itself is very central, San Marco Sq is a ten minute walk away through smaller Piazzas and multiple bridges, and the Rialto Bridge is again 10 minutes from the doors of the hotel. The hotel reception like many in Venice has glass doors that always takes your breath away when you arrive downstairs to see the amazing views of the Grand Canal. Thoroughly recommend this to any couple, young family. Class act.

Disappointed by the level of service and outdated hotel. For that very pricy 4 stars hotel, I would have appreciated a higher level.. the staff was not particularly friendly neither helpful. The room was very dark with casi no natural light, not renovated like the booking picture. The bathtub was broken, they send someone that didn’t care of it and said it was indeed broken, reception didn’t propose anything in exchange. I ended up trying to fix myself for 1/2h. Bit sad.. also the Jacuzzi/public bath or gym are not accessible for free. You have to pay and book ahead.. you would imagine it’s included in the price. Positive side: very well located in the center, in the main luxury street, explain the price I guess? The rooftop is really the highlight with beautiful sunset, where we drunk our complementary bottle. The breakfast is really good, one of the best so far. Will not come back, not worthy.

The bar is set low - many of the so-called luxury hotels in Venice are scruffy, overpriced and offer mediocre service at best but the San Clemente really does not live up to the normal standards for a 5 star hotel. Location - out on a private island in the laguna. It sounds great to be able to get away from the army of tourists who invade Venice but for such a location to work there are several essentials: the shuttle boat to the city needs to be frequent, once on the island there must be a sufficiently wide choice of food and drink options of high quality so that one does not need to go back to the city every evening, there needs to be some entertainment even if only digital, and the accommodation and service must be so good that one feels pampered and unwilling to leave. The San Clemente is below par in every respect. Shuttle frequency - every 40 minutes is too infrequent and means a lot of wasted time and waiting on the dock at San Marco in bad weather is miserable. Food and drink choices re limited and what I sampled was really poor. Room service was unacceptable. A soggy burger and a smoked salmon sandwich made with stale bread were both accompanied by the soggiest and most disgusting fried potatoes I have ever been served. Minestrone in the bar was cold, looked like dirty dish water and had no taste at all. The breakfast buffet was fine though there was no option to order eggs freshly cooked. All food was disproportionately expensive. Internet in the hotel is slow so downloads take time and the TV in the room offers very few channels with no option to mirror from an ipad to watch films etc. The room was tired with peeling paint, threadbare upholstery and a rain shower that sprayed water in every direction except down. Much went under the closed shower door so that one had a private acqua alta in the bathroom! On one morning there was no hot water at all - even after leaving the shower running for at least 15 minutes on full hot. Housekeeping was erratic - toilet rolls not replaced, water and coffee supplies not replenished and the complimentary but very boring minibar not refilled on schedule. At a 5 star hotel one expects concierge staff who go the extra mile. Here they do not. A request for a vaporetto map was met with “use the internet”. They also lack the connections to obtain the unobtainable and could not find tickets for San Marco for that day at any price. One expects better of the Kempinski brand.

Wonderful stayed at Ai Mori d’ Oriente Hotel in Venice. We stayed for 7 nights with Breakfast. Professional, friendly, pleasant and efficient service from all staffs. Room was spotlessly cleaned, daily clean and replenished two bottles of water every single day. Quiet area which I was preferred to get away from busy and noisy town. Simply and fresh breakfast including hot and cold stations, plenty of coffee to choose from, fresh juices and desserts etc … unlimited too! Lovely breakfast seating area. They always protected the customers from the hungry pigeons 🐦‍⬛🕊️🔫 😅 Nothing to much trouble there at all. Safe and peaceful area Perfect air conditioning Perfect pillow and comfortable bed We had a good sleep and relaxed Shower and Bath were perfect temperature and pressure … really nice and clean 15-20 mins walk to Grand Canal 15-20 mins walk to St Mark’s Square 5 mins walk to all shops and restaurants Access 24 hrs Reception open 24 hrs Highlight ** 5 mins walk to Mandonna Dell’ Otto Boat station 🚤 (Alilaguna Route- Orange Line) Very convenient trip from Venice Marco Polo Airport (1st stop from the airport approx 23 mins journey) and this station was not busy at all better than going to the Grand Canal Station which can be nightmare! Forgot to mention about the Wi-Fi. We decided to get the Wi-Fi from ‘Holafly eSim’ cost 7 days for £21 We definitely needed and really helpful. High speed connection everywhere in Italy 🇮🇹 we have no problem at all! What more do we need when we are on holiday 😬! We will 💯 definitely stay at Ai Mori d’Oriental Hotel again when we return to Venice. Highly recommended. I hope this helps! Ciao 😍

The Gritti Palace is one of the most iconic hotels in the world. The property is historic and amazingly maintained with everything in perfect condition. We stayed in two rooms incredible suites with views of the Grand Canal and were impressed by the historic paintings, furniture and pianos in our rooms. The only thing that outshines the property is the excellent service of the Gritti Palace team. As soon as we arrived at the hotel’s private dock the team was there to help with everything. Check in was amazing with the reservation team checking us in, upgrading our rooms to the best available suites and whisking us to our rooms in less than 10 minutes. This property respects and rewards loyalty and Ambassador Elite status was immediately recognized and we had the best service imaginable. Food and drink is arguably the best in Italy. The restaurant and bar have separate areas and we had breakfast every morning at the hotel with cocktails every night at the bar. Get Chicago 51 martini! We had dinner our first night in Venice at the hotel and the service, food and wine was excellent. I strongly recommend this hotel as one of the best properties I have ever stayed at.

We had the most fabulous stay at the Palazzo Venart. This is our second time to Venice, and we couldn’t wait to come back to this luxurious oasis! What makes the Palazzo Venart such an incredible place is the people who work there, and go above & beyond to make the guests feel special & have an incredible holiday. From booking, the pre-arrival correspondence, every interaction with the front house concierge, and the waitstaff & sommeliers was warm and sincere - thank you Lisa, Giacomo, Flavia, Gianlucca, and others whose names I missed! The General Manager, Luana, always made sure to say hello and ask about us. We had been dreaming about the breakfast in the garden since our last visit, and it did not disappoint! It was a treasured morning ritual that we will remember. The highlight of our trip was our dinner at Glam, the hotel’s Michelin-Starred restaurant. The chef is an artist - the food was absolutely amazing (on beautiful local glassware as well) ! The sommeliers selected the most delicious wine for us as well. Glam is a must do on your trip to Venice!!! The Palazzo Venart holds a special place in our travel memories & we look forward to visiting again!!!

Receptionist checked us in and out smoothly. The view of the room is great in both day and night. Bathroom is great and would be better if there is tooth brush and paste provided. Breakfast included is nice and they serve nice coffee, Nutella, fruits and drinks. Food and beverage servers and everyone there are friendly.
