On arrival we was booked in a ground floor room we had asked for a top floor in our requests , the lady on reception asked us to wait as top room not ready which we did just over an hr. The room 332, looked ok , two beds put together , one sheet one bed pillow each, we did ask for two more , pillows not great either . there was other pillows which matched the cotton throw we did not use these. Duvet in wardrobe which we used but it had no cover on it, AC or heat not working, the room felt damp and cold floor very cold to walk on , a small thin rug either side of the bed, mini fridge on the floor, no mini bar . TV no English Channels . Balcony nice outlook, we didn’t sit outside. Bathroom good sized shower with a large shower head and another shower, the soap shelf was on the opposite side to the shower head which was strange. When showering the water spilled over the shower floor passed the door and out onto the bedroom near the wardrobes . We had to use towels to soak up the water as this was a fall waiting to happen. The towels were grey and not nice at all.The hairdryer on the wall was powerful . Out on the corridors the lighting was poor, renovation work was evident we had walked passed the areas it was only on the 5th day they cordoned the areas off so we had to walk the longer way to get to pool or restaurant.On the subbed Tile cutting very loud and annoying , we wasn’t informed of reservation work when booking this hotel . Breakfast eggs were very good , no bacon , bread ok but not lots of it in fact the sliced bread was nearly almost gone . Tea and coffee good the machine for coffee worked well. Lunch the chips were yummy, but they did disappear quickly , the food is the same each day but always something to eat, the cakes were good too . Wine red white or rose,,you had to ask waiter for this , beer you helped yourself glasses are small. Tea time food sand as lunch but no chips , mashed potatoes are sloppy , soups are tasteless ,. The food was always COLD , except for food made for freshly by the chef, pizzas cold unless you manage to get one just prepared. There is a microwave if you want to warm up your food. There are flies around the food .One meal at the alacarte restaurant which is next to the buffet restaurant, per week stay. We had tuna appetiser which was nice, mussel soup COLD, Sea Bass on a bed of potatoes and carrots COLD Fruit strudel not great , wine served by waiter the restaurant looked lovely but food was terrible, a French couple said same food COLD. Animation team, the best we have had for a long time. These young people are friendly and work hard ,they get people involved we had lots of laughs with them . They so deserve more money than they actually receive , So Management give them a pay rise. No pool bar as closed , so had to walk to the other bar inside, hubby went to get a drink during the day and forgot to put his top on and was refused to be served,he came back and put his top on went back and was served
