The hardwares of the hotel are good and well maintained. Normally I just saw only one staff on duty for checkin, checkout as well as managing the bar and restaurant. That made many of the services cannot be fulfilled.
One bad staff can totally ruin all efforts from all the staff and the hotel management. Below is the worst experience at the night of 9th Dec 2023, around 1:10am, which I ever had across the whole Europe. I have enquired from the hotel staff that there is pizza serving anytime before 3am. Thus I came to the lobby around 1:10am and I requested to the staff (a white boy and a woman who helped me checkin before) to order for a pizza at lobby as there was no longer restaurant opening nearby. The staff replied to me that i had to order from the black staff (sorry to directly call him black as he refused to provide me his name) as they off duty already. The black staff didn’t look at me and just tell his 2 off-duty colleagues that he was not going to serve me any pizza as he was the only one on night shift, he won’t do anything extra. I heard it and i told the 2 white staff that it doesn’t matter, I understood the hardship.
In this hotel, if we opt out from room cleaning, there will be one free drink for each room guest. I did opt out from the room cleaning and passed the black the coupon. But he told me that I could only get one drink as the coupon stated so. I then told him there were 2 guests check in and I paid for the room of 2 (which is more expensive than 1 guest) and asked him to check the computer record. However the black staff said he doesn’t care and won’t check the computer record for me of how many guests I have checked in. He would only give me one drink. He said I should take it or leave it, he won’t do anything extra no matter what. He said he was the only one on duty, he is the boss and he wont serve me the drinks even it was the fault of the cleaner marking just one mistakenly. I was irritated by his words and requested to ask him to show me the T&C of how to decide one drink or two. He said there is no T&C. He has been with this hotel for 3 years and his words are the T&C. I could choose to stand there the whole night but he won’t serve me 2 drinks. It is stated clearly in the room that there will be fee drink for each guests staying in the room (I have taken the picture). The black staff said he doesn’t care about any complaint as there will be no impact on him.
On the next day (9 Dec) early morning I requested to the counter to have an extra pillow. But it didn’t come to my room at night. So I requested it again at around 10pm, the staff said she would take it to me in 30 mins. But again, I waited till 1am but nothing came. I was also not offer the free drink coupon that day even I opted out from room cleaning.
Obviously the black staff has ordered the other staff not to provide any service to me after I have complained his unfairness on me. That’s why I have chosen to skip the complaint to the hotel and directly disclose my awful experience here online. I just wanna say, if one doesn’t like to provide service to the guests, he can simply choose to quit the hotel and choose jobs which need not face customers. I just simply requested what I deserved from what the hotel stated. I don’t know why, being a guest, I have to face such kind of arrogance and rudeness from a hotel staff.
I lived in room#316. The hotel can refer to the CCTV for the whole incident I mentioned. But no matter what, I won’t choose this hotel anymore and I hope everyone looking at this page be-careful. I don’t want to pay to be scolded.
