Special mention to Ivy for excellent service and ensuring I got the rooms near each other at the same level. Every staff is super friendly and helpful. William, whom we met every evening, was always professional, kind, and genuinely caring. He made sure everything was perfect for us and always checked that we were comfortable and happy. His positive attitude and attentiveness made every encounter a pleasure. Judy, who greeted us every morning, was equally amazing warm, attentive, and full of energy. She personally ensured we had everything we needed and that our mornings started with a smile. Both William and Judy even shared their personal contact numbers with us, offering help at any time, which is rare and deeply appreciated. It was touching to see how much they cared about our well-being and enjoyment. We always looked forward to seeing Judy in the mornings and William in the evenings they truly made us feel at home. Stayed here for a business trip after returning from Japan, specifically because it's part of the Okura group. The service, though... I'd say it was non-existent. Every suited man standing in the lobby had an air of superiority, and the female staff at the lobby bar were completely indifferent. No one greeted anyone. The only thing that felt Japanese was the compact room, haha. The breakfast looked like it had variety but wasn't tasty. Maybe this is just Shanghai – whether you pay 8k or 1k, the attitude is the same.

First time staying at Kempinski hotels. Had imagined to be on a more luxurious hotel. Kempinski The One can improve on their property finishing to make it more feel like staying in luxurious hotels. The room we stayed in had smoke sensors covered in plastic and that should be illegal practice. Apart from that, mirror already had internal stain & walls are chips. Staff on the other hand were welcoming but can also be improvised to make guests feel welcomed and look after as VIP. Staff should proactively approach guests in lobby and ask if there is anything they could assist/not just standing behind desk waiting to be asked.

Who knew?! Choosing the right hotel in Shanghai made my trip even more memorable than the attractions themselves! I stayed at The Blossom House Yu Garden for 2 nights, and from the moment I stepped in until I left, the surprises just kept coming~ ✅As soon as I arrived, a staff member proactively helped with my luggage, and I was greeted with smiles every time I entered or exited. They even discreetly upgraded my room during check-in – my goodwill towards them was instantly maximized! The room was incredibly comfortable, spacious, bright, and full of thoughtful design – a bronze-yellow petal-shaped door, a budding flower elevator door, and even large floral decorations in the room. It felt like living in a flowing floral feast. Fresh fruit was provided daily for both nights of my stay, and the hot water for showers at night was super abundant. Coming back after a long day, it was incredibly therapeutic. 🍃Breakfast was a delightful blend of Chinese and Western cuisine! Freshly cooked scallion oil noodles with braised toppings, authentic Shanghai soup dumplings, and plenty of Western salads, desserts, and coffee. Sitting in the restaurant, I could even gaze at the Bund's 'Three Sisters' (Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, Jin Mao Tower) plus the Oriental Pearl TV Tower from afar. Eating while enjoying the view was just too pleasant. 🪭The most amazing part was the evening! The hotel offered travel photography and intangible cultural heritage handicrafts. I chose the Yu Garden night tour, and the staff patiently explained the humanities and history along the way, which was far more interesting than just wandering around by myself~ The location is superb, too. The Bund, Yu Garden, and Chenghuang Temple are all within walking distance, so there's no need to rush when exploring, eating, and taking photos! 🎉There are many more details worth mentioning〰️ for example, the bathroom cups were clean and sparkling, the in-room fruit was fresh and juicy, and the mini-bar drinks were complimentary.

Since we are foreigners, we didn't speak the language, but the staff was kind enough to help us with the problem. We stayed for a family of eight, We arrived late, and the girl at the front desk was very enthusiastic to help us with our queries. Most pleasantly, there was a small bar on the 16th floor which was very quiet, with songs and a night view. There was also a lot of Chinese and Western breakfasts. Overall, staying at this hotel will not disappoint.

The hotel service is excellent, and the environment is just right – neither overly fawning nor snobbish, perfectly balanced!

The Langham is incredibly conveniently located, right next to Xintiandi, K11, and major shopping malls. The subway station is less than a five-minute walk from the entrance. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even called ahead to confirm my arrival time, which was very considerate for my travel plans. Sharon added me on WeChat during check-in, and at checkout, she specially gave me two beautiful pink cardholders for their 15th-anniversary celebration. The service was so attentive and thoughtful. The hotel's cleanliness and facilities are also excellent, with a swimming pool and sauna, and the water quality is very clean. It was a fantastic stay experience overall.

The Sukhothai is my top choice for both business and family trips to Shanghai. I remember staying there shortly after it opened, and now I've been a loyal guest for several years. This time, I traveled with my child, and I specifically requested two connecting rooms. The front desk service was incredibly nice, preparing Thai desserts, chocolates, and children's toiletries for my little one. The hotel is conveniently located right next to HKRI Taikoo Hui, with direct elevator access. The Old Jesse restaurant nearby is also delicious. In short, I'll definitely keep staying here. It always feels very safe and reassuring.

The rooms are elegant and minimalist, with the double sinks being a particularly nice touch. Note that the hotel has two buildings, so pay attention to the room type when booking if you want a river view. The hotel staff are professional and attentive. On the morning of our check-in, we received a call asking about our arrival time and any special requests, and they arranged a high-floor room for us, which was excellent! Despite the hotel being quite busy, the front desk and concierge handled everything efficiently and smoothly. When we accidentally took the wrong elevator after breakfast, a hotel employee inside quickly assisted us. Our room attendant, Anna, also provided excellent service throughout our stay. Surprisingly, the breakfast was outstanding – incredibly rich and varied, with Chinese, Western, and Japanese options. The Western dishes, in particular, were delicious. This stay was a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely bring my family here next time.

Our room was spotless clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully prepared such as the toilet seat with a warm function. Every detail, from the amenities to the housekeeping, reflected the hotel’s high standards and care for guests.
