We travel a lot and stay at many places. We wanted a sample of a bed and breakfast and a more traditional stay while going to our Godchild's wedding. It is an older Victorian house with about 15 rooms, which does give breakfast. Here are a few items that need to be attended to to bring this facility up to par. The wallpaper in our room and the hallways were starting to peel away and instead of gluing, they put matching tape to hold it together, there were stains on the rugs in our room and holes in the carpet in the halls. On each floor, the fixtures, old as they be, did'nt have matching bulbs, or many bulbs were missing. So the lighting was off. The shower caulk in our bathtub was moldy. The left handle on the sink was loose and came off. The ceiling above our bed was patched and not repainted so there were two different colors. The chairs were antique, for the ambiance, but they could not be sat on. The owner needs to put more money into restoring this location. Also, communication with the bed and breakfast was different. Every time I would call, the owner would just text me. I had to get all the info, and codes to get into the place by text. It would have been nice to get this info ahead of time and maybe have a copy in the room as well as how to use the TV, because it was apple tv. Also, there is no AC in this old house, which we understood, but there were portable AC units in halls and rooms, we were hoping that the electric panels could take all of these plug ins, along with microwave and refrigerators in the rooms. No one is ever at the front desk, you can only text him to talk. Not personable, I understand because of covid, but we felt that we were let alone in the house with no one at the desk. He just told us that we can text if we need anything. I had to text and ask for my receipt after I got home. I probably would not stay here again. Needs work and better communication.

We were there for one night. Our reservation had been made by someone else, on their credit card. When we arrived, we were placed in a room with two queen beds that was really cramped. Since the hotel didn't have hardly anyone there, I called the front desk and asked if we could be switched to a single bed room. I was told no, a double had been booked. I even offered to pay the difference for a single room if needed, and again was told no (since the reservation was made by someone else). This seemed like a simple request, and the hotel had few people in it. I was very respectful and didn't think it was an unreasonable request, but the staff clearly didn't want to deal with it. Overall, the facility is dated but we found it to be clean and in a convenient location.

This hotel was such a surprise to me. It is great in every way. First, Carolyn at the desk greeted me so warmly and openly that I felt at home from the minute I walked in (everyone at the desk was lovely, but she was particularly warm - she made me feel so welcome!). The room was tidy and organized, the bathroom was shiny and clean and the I loved that the TV said ”Welcome with my name on it”. It's personal and a sweet detail. There is a microwave in every room, an open, clean fridge that kept my trip snacks fresh and nice amenities in the bathroom. It was as nice as any hotel I have stayed in. Breakfast was ample and fresh with great variety. All the tables were wonderfully clean and in a great surprise - they have absolutely delicious coffee! Better than any hotel I've visited some much more upscale! One note: I did notice the bathroom needed additional mopping and I went to the front desk to mention it. They sent someone to clean immediately and told the manager while was standing there. I look forward to another stay at this hotel. Thank you to Carolyn and all the others that were so kind and welcoming.

The room was very clean , it had everything in the room that was said to be, tv cable, coffee maker ECT. We didn't eat breakfast maybe next time, Staff at front desk was very kind and courteous ,even drew us a map were to find the room, all and all great place to stay
