Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Eagle River/Anchorage Are

This was a horrible place. It smelled, they had the heat on, it was VERY HOT. There was cigertte holes and couldn’t sleep at all. Only there a half hour. Went down stairs and asked about the air and if there was air conditioner. There wasn’t one? What place doesn’t have air conditioner and has the heat on when it’s 70 out side? It was a horrible place and they wouldn’t give any of my money back? Who does that?

Enjoyed our stay thanks to the microtel employees. I would definitely recommend and return for future trips. They even welcomed my dog (who may seem scary but is a sweet girl and service animal)

Small cozy room with a nice window seat. The lobby was nice and welcoming. The security has not been updated other than to install electronic doors on each room. The carpet was not cleaned well and there was dust on most surfaces.

This is one of the dirtiest hotels we have ever stayed in. There was a leaky shower, TV did not work Bed borders looked as if blood was on them, door were spots of blood smeared on them.

The photos are extremely deceiving in the website… this hotel was extremely dirty, everything was stained, the carpet, anything upholstered. If you book here just know it also serves as some type of long term living facility. Wish other reviews had been more honest. At least it wasn’t expensive but I’d never stay again.

We stayed there 2 nights, first night the next room occupants were blasting the TV all night and talking very loud. Second night was quiet as it was in a different room on the top floor. Dirt here and there in the room but not terrible. No coffee maker in the room and the breakfast was simple (bagels, cheese spread and cerials). But the coffee was terrible. Tasted like it was burnt somehow. For the prize we paid for the rooms, it's an OK place.

The parking lot hasn’t been plowed all winter, just packed in making a giant, thick sheet of ice. The check-in process was smooth after someone finally came to the desk. A surprise to us was that they leave all to unoccupied rooms doors ajar, which we had never seen. However, even with the opportunity for the room to air out, we were still hit with a pungent smell when we walked in. Upon further inspection of the room we found “interesting” stains everywhere. The couch and chairs had stains all over. Even the wall had “yellow” stains, those we didn’t discover until we were packing up. The sounds of dogs barking all night and loud TVs made sleep pretty hard to get.

Literally the dirtiest place I have ever stayed. The room hang been cleaned, hair all over the pillow cases, the room smelled like wet dogs. Trash in the trash can, crumbs in the counter, I won’t even mention the bathroom. When I told the front desk our room hadn’t been cleaned their response was, “oh I’m not surprised” Gross, dirty, do not stay.
