Ulasan Palmerston Suites

Overall the place is in a very good location, near to the Princes Street. However, the staff can be more thoughtful when arranging rooms as given that there are no elevators in the building, I was given a room on the highest floor with my big suitcase. Also, the shower is not working, temperature is not functioning properly so I couldn’t take showers properly. Reception is only operating until 18:00 therefore no immediate assistance can be provided. The overall cleanliness is good, but can be improved overall as the suite is selling at this price.

That’s a big family room for 3-4, excellent location just 5 mins walk to station or 8-10 mins to the high street.

Was described as a luxury suite. More a hotel room with a kitchenette. Microwave, toaster, kettle and two hob rings which were adequate. Tea coffee, milk, washing up liquid supplied. Lovely and warm and were able to control heating in bedroom. Had to get pillows changed as were full of broken up sponge and some kitchen cutlery, plates etc missing. Location near bus/tram but on main road do very noisy. Paid 190 for 3 nights over a weekend which was reasonable

The check in times are wrong on the APP, I arrived at 8pm to find that I couldn't check in, I was stuck in the rain with no where to stay. Hotel refused a refund because "they kept the room", even though I couldn't physically check in. I phoned and text them and didn't get any reply. 0/10 wasted money and time.

晚上9時前check-in, 但無職員，訂房詳情的check-in 時間是零晨前，在門口打電話，無人接聽，不知怎麼辦……只好過了旁邊的酒店請求幫忙，旁邊酒店的職員及老板極好，我們苦等約一小時，再試用email ,才知酒店email 了入住方法比我，似遊戲，沒諗過，不是Airbnb, 卻用了此方法攪入住，第二天check out, 清潔工人很沒禮貌，11點拍門要我們即離開……

設施：沒有電梯！所有行李都需要自己走樓梯搬運 房間挺大的 衞生間是半乾濕分離的 水龍頭和淋浴中間有分割 有廚房但是餐具不多 碗衹有一兩個 電熱水壺不太乾淨 衞生間淋浴房有點老舊 晚上有看到小蟲子在地上爬 環境：挺安靜的 離愛丁堡王子街步行20分鐘左右 不冷的話走走看看街景也不錯 周圍有很多條公交 打車到waverly station不堵車半小時不到

因為是傳統老房子，是有特別體驗的，樓梯和地板都是木質的，床墊很鬆，不是最舒服。洗手間也比較傳統的，淋浴房很小，水忽冷忽熱。夏天有個移動空調，還算體貼。酒店環境很好，安靜，附近走10分鐘也很多餐廳小店，公車站，出行很方便。附近還有成熟景點，走路即到。整體還是蠻好的酒店，就是舊了點，老房子也是優點也是確定。

Awful awful experience here, don’t stay here! Walked into our room and gagged from the smell — smelled like fish. Started to feel sick from it. Smell did not go away during our 3 days there (it was just in our room, not the rest of the hotel). Room was boiling hot throughout the night despite it being cool outside, made sleeping honestly really miserable. Massive CHUNKS of dust came out of the broken fan in our room when we turned it on. Felt really, really unclean and very unattended. No one to be found at reception when we went to check out at 9 am, so we left a message where we left our key but never heard back. I’ve stayed in hostels much cleaner and more taken care of — would definitely rather stay in one again than come back here. Stay elsewhere — don’t stay here!!

Our stay didn’t start well as we arrived at 6.45pm to an empty reception and no way of finding out which room we were in. Phoned several times to the number we had for the hotel but it was continually engaged. After about a 20 min wait we finally got an answer on the mobile phone number and we got our key. The room was adequate but certainly not a “luxury suite”, however it was clean and comfortable. The kitchen area is just off the bedroom and the bathroom is accessed through the kitchen area which is unusual. Good location near Haymarket and lots of eating places near by.

This is a beautiful building divided into rooms. Our room was quite small and near the top of the building. Note that there is no lift, so be prepared to walk up and down 2 or 3 flights of stairs. I don't have any complaints about the room apart from a few minor things. One of the windows had to be propped open as it was broken. It was very warm when we stayed there. The kitchenette was very small indeed, but is reasonably useful. The wifi was very good and we had a large TV. The room was clean and in good condition. There was not much noise from other rooms. It is beefing it up to call it a suite though: what we stayed in was a small hotel room with a tiny kitchenette.

There is no way in hell that this is 4 Star hotel. If this is what passes for 4 Star then the whole system is flawed, I've stayed in much nicer 3 Star places. The Star rating is a lie, in my opinion, and the photographs of the room are not in anyway indicative of the room you get. Yes we stayed in the juinior suit, but the photos for that room where not the same as what we got. The other reviews are quite correct, the room is fairly dirty and has long since seen better days, there are scuff marks about the place, the wardrobe is flithy, and the room morning noon and night the room is scorthing hot. The bathroom I found particularly bad it was incredibly small and crammped and to get to the sink you had to squeeze past the shower it was all very uncomfortable and by partner cut herself doing this squeeze. The kitchenette was cramped and hard to make things in, and the cutlerly had a certain level of grime to them, we had to wash everything after we came. Moreover, to go back to my first point for a second, there was minimal added extras you got the bog standard tea and coffee but really that was it, the netflix access was a plus for sure but overall there wasnt enough of that sort of thing for it to be truly 4 Stars. Finally, the front desk staff are never there, they came in when we checked in and then were gone moments later and we never saw them again until we checked out, which was odd. We never saw another living soul whilst in the hotel which seemed a bit uncanny, but some will excuse all of these things for the location. It is walkble to the town centre but please be aware it is 20 minutes at a good pace and 30-40 minutes if you walk slowly, bare in mind you might need to buy some ubers if you have early morning plans.

I start with the positives - the room was clean and quiet, the actual bedroom was nice and full of character. It is a great location for the city centre. The negatives though, there were stains all over the walls in the bathroom and kitchen, the kitchen cupboards looked old and crumbling, the window wasn’t able to be locked in the internal quadrangle and the staff were unfriendly. For the 500 pound price tags for a family room for two days, I was expecting more. We could have had a better experience at a hotel.

Situated on a busy mine road with traffic lights right outside our window, very noisy didn't sleep much. We did ask to move rooms but the wouldn't. The apartment was small and the toilet lead off da kitchen.

Lovely comfortable stay 15-20min walk into centre bed comfortable room spacious 2 couches o e of which sofa bed kitchenette fully equipped would have been nice to have a mini bar in fridge or complimentry water overall satisfactory for my needs.
