This is our 2nd time stayed at the hotel. Unfortunately this time we didn't get the ROOM#203. We were assigned to room very groomy then changed to room601 then finally to 604, thanks to Ms Joe, she is very attentive & helpful on Christmas eve. Breakfast started really late at 8.30am , but the staffs are very attentive & caring. To enjoy this hotel next time I must request.to BoOk Room 203 again

I never stayed in an apartment style hotels. This hotel have changed my mind. We were 3 . The space was enough for 4 or even 5. Very clean. They thought of everything , even the bottle of milk in the fridge 😊, Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Location was amazing 👍🏼.I’m coming back to Edinburgh and this hotel is the place to be. Thank you for everything

Apartment was very spacious and clean. Our bed was okay although the pillows could be better. We had a great time preparing our dinners here because many cooking tools are provided. There are two washing tablets for our three-night stay so we did have to get our own at a Sainsbury’s nearby since we did have more clothes to wash. The washer worked fine but the dryer somehow didn’t. We tried to use it three times but the clothes were still wet in the end. We had to hang dry our clothes in the closet after spinning them at a higher RPM, which was fine because they got all dry by the next morning. There’s also an app for the hotel that you can download where you can request services from the front desk, which I thought was a nice touch. Staff was generally friendly and the location of the apartment was close to several restaurants and a grocery store, and it’s not too far from the train station. I’d definitely consider staying here if I ever visit Edinburgh again.

This was my second visit to this gorgeous hotel. My fiancée and I had originally planned to stay for 2 nights, but when we woke up on the third morning, we decided to stay an extra night - because of the hotel's exceptional service. We never knew at the time that this decision would be our nightmare. We were exhausted from our day in the city and were trying to sleep. But to everyone's surprise, the fire alarm rang 2 hours after we had fallen asleep. We woke up from our dream, my wife didn't have time to change her shoes and was rushed to the road across the road from the hotel wearing only her hotel slippers and watched as two fire trucks pulled up in front of the hotel and the firemen entered the hotel. It was raining heavily and my wife was soaking wet from the calf down as the two of them watched the flashing lights of the ambulance trucks in front of the hotel gates. I took the coat I was wearing off over her head, but it still didn't stave off the high fever she had back at the hotel, thinking to myself that the hotel would surely give us a fair compensation. After the fire was over, the sound of the alarm was all in our heads which deprived our sleepiness. We complained to the hotel about it, the employee Ayoola, at the front desk wearing an orange warning vest. “That it was a false/fault alarm, there were no injuries or deaths, so there was nothing we could do other than delaying the fire for an hour until 12am”, He said. After nearly five more minutes of interaction with him, the scenario under his breath was changed to a delay to 1pm. And we were told to contact his supervisor if we had any doubts. So I gave him my mobile phone number.At 10.42am the supervisor Christine called and spoke to us in a negotiating tone, even apologising with a "what can you do about it" attitude. After some negotiation, she finally agreed to extend until 3pm, just because the housekeeping team will be off clocks at 3pm. We felt no respect throughout the whole incident - I don't know if it's because we booked the lowest level of “luxury open plan studio” in Cheval the Edinburgh Grand. Maybe if we have the financial means to afford a higher class suite, the hotel will show us a bit more respect. That's all for now, I'm going to make my wife a cup of hot ginger lemon tea and I just hope the love of my life makes a speedy and healthy recovery.

We were so happy that we were able to accommodate your early check in on your return to our hotel and to learn that you have enjoyed your breakfast at The Register Club. As I explained when we spoke on the phone, our guests and teams’ safety is our priority. Our policies and procedures are put in place and trained thoroughly for all our team members to ensure that in the event of an emergency, everyone, especially our guests, is safe, out of harm’s way and well taken care of. On our phone call, I explained that the cause of the evacuation alarm was that a member of staff had pulled the Manual Call Point. When this happens, the buildings evacuation alarms will go off and the fire brigade will be notified and respond automatically. In this case, the procedure that we have in place requires everyone to evacuate the building immediately until the fire brigade can confirm that there is no threat to life (this is not just limited to a fire) reset the alarms, and inform that it is indeed safe to enter the building again. I completely agree that a 06:00 alarm is very intrusive, and I understand your frustration. The experience is not at all what we hope that any of our guests will have to face in any hotel. However, failure to adhere to these policies and procedures could lead to serious consequences including and not limited to another person/s life, especially if there was a confirmed fire or threat. As previously offered, I am very happy to go through and explain all our procedures in detail to you. During our conversation, I informed that our housekeeping team’s working hours are from 09:00 to 15:00. As explained, the reason why Ayoola has granted a 12:00 check out, was that there were guests arriving to your apartment and will allow housekeeping enough time to clean and prepare the room for them. Ayoola acted well within the perimeter of what we expect of him and his role. Ayoola was apprehensive about the 13:00 check out as it is putting the team under immense pressure to ensure that everything in the apartment is according to standard with very little time to prepare and potentially will result in our guests not being able to check into their apartment upon check in time at 15:00 especially when we have limited rooms available to accommodate certain requests. Normally, a 13:00 upward check out fee will be equal to another night’s accommodation. Extending your checkout to 15:00 at no charge for your comfort is very generous and not a decision that was taken lightly. I have no doubt that your fiancé/wife is well on the mend, especially since she has you taking care of her and I do wish her a speedy recovery. The best hotels I ever visited. Located in the centre of the city centre near a famous Indian restaurant, and close to Mc and KFC as well >~< it’s super convenient to go everywhere. Must be my choice for next time travelling in Edinburgh!!!

Excellent location, close to most of the attractions. Room very comfortable with lots of kitchen ware can use handy. Only minor issue is the mattress kind of worn out and should be replaced.

Beautiful hotel probably in the best location in Edinburgh. Very close to all of the key sites and nice restaurants and bars. The rooms are very spacious and elegantly decorated. Hotel would also be a very good option for long stay since the room has kitchen and washing machine included. Hotel’s building used to be a former office of Royal Bank of Scotland. Hotel staff have been very helpful and friendly.

The staffs gave me this relaxing vibe as soon as I walked into the hotel. They were attentive and helpful. The location is very convenient for most of the attractions in the city.

We stayed in a room at the entrance to a corridor, by the lifts; found it was too noisy with people entering and exiting through the main fire doors on the floor.
The main bed was stated as a queen bed but seemed tiny for two normal sized adults.
Room was clean and well presented + ideal location, but we left feeling a bit underwhelmed.
