Duli Beach Resort

I stumbled across this place while out on my rented 50cc moped. I loved it. Calm, relaxed, positive. The environment was just what I needed, I read, ate, slept and swam… My only regret is I don’t stay there. In my 8 days on the island I spent three here - I’ll be back. Thank you to the hosts! Great family ran business, living the dream.

TThe resort is “off the beaten track” and perhaps a 45-minute transfer from the airport. The owners have planning permission for eight bungalows but stick with six as being optimal for the guest experience. The bungalows have screens rather than windows, so you fall asleep to the sound of the waves; each has its own balcony. There is only a small cluster of other buildings on the beach which stretches for about a kilometre, so it’s mostly deserted. The week I was there wasn’t great for swimming due to stronger waves than normal—quite a few people come here to surf--but I still had a great time. Breakfast is included, but I had almost all my lunches and dinners at the resort as the meals are inexpensive and tasty. The special seafood Christmas Eve meal was amazing. It’s an eco-conscious spot with solar power; wifi (via satellite I think) is available for a few hours every day. Very friendly owners and staff. I really recommend this place.

Wow! What an amazing stay, I booked one night here to start my trip and ended up staying an additional night because of how truly beautiful and tranquil it was. The beach is breathtaking and has a very private feel. The staff were all very friendly and attentive to my needs. The grounds are kept groomed and clean. The fact it's off grid makes it even more fun because it's so simple and easy to just lay back and relax. The owners were out of town but that didn't change how perfectly things were managed...Bart did a great job, Kevin was super enjoyable to talk to and the kitchen girls did great, and were fun to watch as they joked and giggled as the worked. the food was all super yummy. To sum it up, everything was perfect for me! It may not be for everyone since some people need there electronics and air conditioning. But if you want beauty and off the beaten path you won't be disappointed. I'll be back for sure : )

Great beach front with swimmable beach quite and is like having your own private beach. We loved the fresh cooked food and the drinks at the resort restaurant. Entree cost just 300 Pesos and fresh large coconut at 80 pesos (great value). The staff are very helpful. All rooms are facing the ocean and are few steps from the beach.

Max and Alma's Duli Beach Resort is currently the only lodging on the beach. It is in a beautiful setting, nestled next to the rocks on the south side of the beach. The beach is large, clean, and quiet but the water can be rough (compared with other beaches in the Philippines--not compared to New Jersey!) Duli Beach is a surfer's paradise with a few surfing schools nearby, but it is a bit difficult to get there. The cabins are large and close to the beach. So close, in fact, that the roar of the waves at night can seem deafening at first. We had a king size bed that was comfortable and clean. The cabins are attractive and designed perfectly for the location. Each cabin has its own bathrooms along with a front porch facing the sea. There is no AC but it is not needed as there is a huge screen that makes up the front wall of the cabin, allowing for a cool sea breeze. Privacy is not an issue as they have a full curtain you can close. Wi-Fi is extremely spotty, and we only had it certain times of the day. Some other things points to mention: -The massages were fantastic. The woman who they have is strong and the setting relaxing. -Max and Alma are wonderful hosts and have a lovely family. The staff is friendly and hardworking and keep the entire resort spotless from top to bottom. -There is a trail behind the resort that goes up to a viewpoint--it is short but worth doing. -The menu was small but can change quickly. We were there when the bartender came in holding a fish that was just caught. Max looked at me and said, "Would you like fish for supper tonight?" It was fantastic! -They have a turtle rescue onsite, and we were there to see baby turtles released into the sea 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed there. -Max and Alma arranged for our transportation back to the airport. There are various options from private van to tricycle depending on your budget. If you plan on taking a shared van, make sure that the driver does not drop you off at the intersection of the beach road and the main road--that is still 3.2 kilometers from Duli Beach. Ask him to take you a couple of kilometers down the beach road till the road starts to go up the big hill. The last kilometer or so of that beach road is really bad and most drivers will not want to do it.

The only resort in Duli Beach and one of the best resorts in EL Nido to recharge your energy. Sleep and be awakened by the sounds of the waves which are therapeutic. Had surfing lesson at a reasonable fee. Housekeeping was kept daily, ensuring a tidy place.

This is one of my highlights from a trip to the Phillipines. Well worth the drive if you want an escape to a little bit of paradise. Beautifully designed, clean comfortable rooms. Kind, friendly staff, yummy food. Lazy days filled with swims, books, hammocks, games, sunsets all beside the calming sound of the waves. If i ever get the chance would not think twice about going back here.

The highlight of our Phillipines holiday. This gem is such beautiful place, peaceful and serene, the water is crystal blue and the staff and owners very friendly. Thank you Elma & Max for a wonderful stay, we hope to return again one day.

Wonderful place off the beaten path that is well worth the venture. You won’t find anything close to this in the main part of El Nido. As others have said, don’t expect luxurious amenities. But do expect to be able to bask in the purest of nature, far away from the bustling sounds of tourism. An eco-friendly establishment that encompasses all the values we come to expect in preserving Mother Earth for future generations. Here, your doorstep is the beach and the entire beach is your front garden.
