Elk Cove Inn & Spa

A gorgeous spot to adventure out to the spectacular California coastline or just stay in Elk Cove and enjoy the beauty from your room! Incredible food at the Inn and gorgeous hikes nearby. An art gallery, two lighthouses, beaches and trails. A perfect combo of adventure and indulgence! The room was cozy, quiet and comfortable with ocean waves lulling us to sleep and bright moonlight on the ocean waking us up!

We had an incredible experience at Elk Cove Inn and Spa. The food and wine selection were unparalleled for quality and value. Christina (co owner) made our stay special and we cannot wait for our next visit. Was our first time to Elk, Ca and Sampling Anderson Valley vineyards and is much less traveled than either Napa or Sonoma counties.

What a gem. The Elk Grove Inn was so relaxing. The lodging and restaurant were outstanding. The attention to detail on every aspect of the stay was wonderful. Easy access to the beach for those who want to explore the surroundings. We will be back again soon.

What a quaint and beautiful hideaway! The room had unbeatable views, vintage decor, remarkably comfortable bed, pillows, and soft linens. The owners are completely devoted to your privacy and happiness. Do not miss the restaurant with its home grown and raised menu items. Delicious! Recommend highly. Don’t miss the property tour with adorable goats, rabbits, chickens and quail. Lovely Melissa garnered six more eggs, one of which was quail, on our walk. Great find on our trip.

This is the best find! The staff are so welcoming as soon as you arrive and it follows all the way through to breakfast. We arrived on a spur of the moment trip after wine tasting and I’ve never been happier with a getaway choice! I’ll describe our 24 hour experience, but in case your impatient (like me), I’ll skip to the end here and let you know that us and our small dogs had a perfect escape and I encourage you to do the same!! We arrived in time to enjoy the social hour before dinner and the view from our cottage. This is one of the features of the place; natural sound therapy all day. The bonfire was lit, games came out and we all watched the sunset, dogs and all. We ordered dinner earlier in the day, and at 6:00 we sat and enjoyed a fine dinner. The food was all locally sourced, and their chef prepares zero waste meals that are simply amazing. A bottle of Zinfandel with dinner that we brought back to our room made the meal complete. Speaking of complete, there was also a small bottle of after dinner wine left in our room to enjoy along with the views from our room. In the morning our breakfast arrived with coffee and champagne to enjoy with the crashing waves. After breakfast we walked down to the beach with the doggies and watched as they played on the beach. When we checked out, the staff remembered who we were and I even had a nice chat with Chef on my way out. We had such a good time, there are no pics. There is plenty to do in the area for fun, we just did a quick getaway. Next time, we’re already planning another trip, we will try the beach horseback riding!

We absolutely LOVED our time at Elk Cove Inn! We celebrated our 9 year anniversary and we couldn’t have picked a more beautiful, relaxing, romantic and charming place to stay. This whole coastline is incredible. We took morning walks on the beach every day and listened to the waves crashing all night. Highly recommend staying here!
