Ella Waterfall View

Stay here! We had a wonderful stay with Kiah and Lucky. The views from the home stay are fantastic, overlooking a waterfall. Breakfast amazing. Home cooked muffins, beautiful fruit and Lucky’s eggs were all delicious. Our room was lively and clean. Nicely appointed. Great shower. Kiah and Lucky very welcoming. Felt more of a family stay which was lovely. Great advice about places to go and eat. Visited the AMBA tea plantation on recommendation which was a very special time.

I am profoundly disappointed and unhappy with my experience at Ella Waterfall hotel management as I was blatantly denied accommodation. The level of frustration and bewilderment is beyond words. Although my booking was confirmed through a travel agent, upon arrival, I was informed by the owner that there was no availability. Instead, I was redirected to a home stay lacking basic amenities. The substitute accommodation lacked hot water, had no power backup, and the food provided was subpar. payment for this hotel was collected at Ella water fall hotel. Despite being aware of the peak season, the management seemed to prioritised other foreign national tourists over “Indian” guests. The entire ordeal was exacerbated by conflicting information from my travel agent (Trip Travel Hub- Kavindo) who attributed the mishap to the hotel's mistake. The lack of coordination and transparency in handling the situation created an unpleasant experience for me. I caution anyone considering booking with Ella Waterfall View, especially through a travel agent to be wary of potential discrepancies and to ensure the availability of the promised facilities.

What we liked - 1. Host is nice 2. Breakfast is really good - quality and quantity both 3. Location - we got the Kuda Ravana fall view from the balcony and room 4. Budget-friendly What we didn't like - 1. Room had large windows with no grills and one of the window didn't have a lock, anybody could open and enter the room, not that we faced any safety issues. We noticed it the night before checkout so didn't inform the host, maybe if we had she would have changed room. 2. Water bottles were chargeable - Usually hotels give 2 complimentary water bottles, but the charges were a surprise to us.

I think thats the nicest place i stayed throughout my whole long trip. Beautiful view of the waterfall right in front of the rooms. Amazing place! Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The owners are so lovely and helped with anything i needed, generous and welcoming family❤️ i can really keep going i stayed for a week and wish I'd had more time. Recommended!!

We visited on January, when the weather was cold but the rooms were cozy and comfortable. We got rooms that were on different levels. The kids loved climbing the stairs and exploring the whole place. The host was the most kindest person I have met in my lanka trip. she made us amazingly delicious breakfast, a mix of traditional sri lankan and western. The view from the rooms were spectacular. You can literally see the waterfall from your balcony and you can also see the train when it passes the area, which was the highlight of the ella trip for our kids. During our Ella trip we met the kindest tuk tuk drivers. Very polite, respectful and very kind. We loved our stay!

Les chambres avec terrasse aménagée et vue sur la cascade sont fabuleuses. C'est calme et bien meublé. Le lounge avec TV est très agréable aussi à l'heure de l'apéro. La partie restauration est juste bluffante. Encore mieux qu'au restaurant! Le service est aussi au top. Bref, rien à redire. Une valeur sûre!
