I travel solo and I prefer quiet and peaceful places where I can't hear the noise of the city or the music from the night clubs. So Nature Nest was just perfect for me. I liked everything. The room was light and spacious, a comfortable bad, a big bathroom with hot shower and a nice balcony made my stay cozy and pleasant. And it was so nice to hear the chirping of birds outside in the morning. It took me about 10 minutes to walk down to Ella and maybe a little more to walk up. And every time the walk in the nature was nice and pleasant. Sampat and Nadeeka were really helpful, they gave me many useful tips and good advice about Ella and Sri Lanka and I just had a great time talking with them. The food they cooked was really delicious and also they were so kind to give me a cooking lesson and even a ride when I needed it. I highly recommend the Nature Nest to anyone who values comfort and calmness. And I will be glad to come back if I have such a chance.

Great location - the hotel is on an uphill road just minutes from Ella Town. Rooms were cosy and had a great view of the Ella Gap [Ella Rock and Mini Adam's Peak] - so we suggest getting superior rooms. We loved the hospitality of Tharindu, Kavindu and Ajay - they were great in giving us tips to make the most of our trip and just being wonderful overall. The breakfast buffet didn't have a massive spread, but it was good, and the ala carte options were great. We hear they will add a pool soon so that's a plus when visiting next time.

I recently stayed three nights at Ella Green cottages with my soon (13) and we had a lovely experience. The cozy cottages are nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by lush greenery, which gave it a serene and peaceful jungle atmosphere with birds and small monkeys playing around. The cottages themselves were cozy and comfortable, with the necessary amenities to make the stay comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious home-cooked breakfast each morning. Pancakes, toast, fresh fruits, omelets and various traditional Sri Lankan foods. The host was very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make os feel comfortable and ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Ella Green cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature. We had a wonderful stay here! It's a great location for anyone travelling solo, with friends or as a family as we did. It is within walking distance to Ella Town. Our room was comfortable, clean with a lot of space on the balcony to take in the view. The best part about the room was that you can relax on your bed and take in the gorgeous view of the Ella gap. The manager Indran looked after us very well. We thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic Srilankan breakfasts he cooked! We would definitely recommend a stay at Ella Alpine to anyone visiting Ella!

We were a group of 6 and the moment our van turned into the driveway we were greeted with the ambience of the old world charm of an estate bungalow. Our hosts Cynthia & Roshan made us feel comfortable from the word go. When we were not out & about the sights in Ella we would walk around the lovely garden taking in the sight & sounds of nature or simply sit around the sprawling verandah & chat away, so much to catch up on! The bungalow is so much in tune with nature, the fauna & flora definitely a soothing factor. Some of us even spotted fawn darting in & out of the trees amongst various other birds squirrels etc. We could order whatever we wanted from a choice of breakfast menu's. The meals were simple yet, delicious. There was plenty to go around (considering our voracious appetites!) The rooms were spacious & comfortable. Sunnyside caters to varied holiday makers. If you're looking for a quiet retreat, in comfortable surroundings, maybe do some reading, writing, painting, playing board games or simply relaxing, this is the place to be. This bungalow is also good for the weary traveler who would be out the whole day taking in the sights & experiences of Ella, to come back & rejuvenate for the next day. The spot is super convenient. Only 400 meters from the railway station & a 10 -15 min walk into the quaint & bustling town. All in all it is a lovely place & we hope to go back for another enjoyable visit.
