I stayed at the Ibis Belval for the Capital of Culture event for 10 days. I want to thank the staff at the hotel for being attentive, friendly and polite. This was especially invaluable as Belval is not big on dietary options for people that are dairy and wheat intolerant. The staff ordered different milks and bread for me and there was always enough. I had a lot of issues with food in Belval but Arnaud and the team made sure I had a good breakfast, which is so important when you are there for work. The young man on the night staff even filled up my hot water bottle for me before bed which was such a lovely gesture when I was exhausted after a day of working the event. My only gripe is that I was itchy during the whole stay at Belval and many of the others in my team also said they had red eyes or itchiness, we think maybe it was the detergent used for laundry, the rooms however were impeccably clean and the house keeping team was respectful and friendly.
