What a wonderful experience it was to stay at the cozy hotel Glutschaufel. We were there on a business trip and I have already recommended all my colleagues to stay there too. Amazing coffee every morning and a perfect experience all together!

Perfectly adapted to our needs. Clean practical and stylish rooms situated in a quite and natural setting. Beware of the mosquitoes if you have a drink outside in the evening ;) Special mention for the staff who were very helpful.

I booked this last minute and received a message that reception was closed and a key would be left in a coded box for me, I hate this type of arrival but had no choice they already had my non refundable booking! Luckily on arrival someone was sitting outside (could of been the owner) who greeted me and accessed my key for me. The room was of a good size and very clean, as was the whole hotel. The second 'but' was the fact that they no longer served dinner, again something I wished I had known before booking! I was too tired to drive (Totally forgot I could of used a delivery service) but grabbed two beers and a bag of crisps from the honour bar to keep me going. I did like the hotel but I appreciate ones with restaurants more. P.S. The walking trail around the lake is wonderful!

Stayed at the hotel for 10 days while visiting son & family last May. Quiet, modern and nicely set up rooms. Super host. It's located in a lake and bird preserve just outside of Eschenbach in northern Bavaria. Great breakfast that combines a buffet with table service for hot dishes.
