Hotel dengan WiFi di Estepona

I went on holiday with my daughter and two Granddaughters for 4 nights as a special treat. We arrived at the Hotel Sol Marbella Estepona Atalaya Park by Melia having booked with Love Holidays but this hotel did not look like the photo in the brochures which showed low rise with a lovely pool, restaurant and nice big gym. But the building we were taken to was a high rise building which when we went in reception we thought, oh yes, this looks nice. We went to our room and all through the corridors we could not believe our eyes at the state of some of the walls, woodwork etc.We looked at the gym which was dark and dingy with hardly any equipment in it. It was like something that hasn't been sorted since the 1970's. We got to our room, which was a suite, to be met with a really musty smell, the hand dryer did not work, the windows were filthy, there were no towels in the room and when we tried to open the patio door, the handle came off in our hand and all the runners were disgusting. We went back to the reception and she told us it was the 'Best Room in the Hotel'. She said she would get someone to come and clean the floor and the patio runners so we went back. She came with a mop and did under the curtain and then went. Then two men came with tool kits to mend the door. We went for lunch whilst they were in our room which was awful. The pork was pink in the middle and the paella was nothing like paella. The staff were stressed and rude. We went back to the room and decided that we could not stay any longer so went to reception to tell them but there was nobody there. We waited to have a word with them but nobody arrived so we just left the keys on the reception desk. We booked another hotel on line and paid for a taxi to take us. The hotel will not pay us our money back even though we did not even stay there and Love Holidays said they cannot do anything about it so we are now out of pocket by £1000! All I can say is make sure you know where you are staying is as described.

We recently returned from this Hotel. It is a lovely hotel but a little tired in places. We had a privilege room on the 6th floor, lovely and clean but the bath needs removing and replacing with a walk in shower. It was actually dangerous getting in and out and my husband and I had to help each other as it was easy to fall. The big disappointment was the food because it was barely warm. The only things that were hot, was if you had an omelette or fried eggs made to order for breakfast or the meat / fish cooked to order in the evening. The breakfast fresh fruit could have been better, as it was in the evening. Also a very big issue is the fact that when they pick up the raw meat or fish, they then use the same utensils to turn the meat/ fish as they cook it. They should use different utensils, for raw and cooked. I had an upset stomach on the last evening possibly caused by this. The hotel was a bit further out of Estepona than we anticipated, and we love to walk. It meant we didn’t experience the evening vibe in town. As we were in a Privilege Room, we had access to the Spa for 90 minutes. Again, we found this to be tired and in need of refurbishment. We both agree that most of the staff are very friendly and helpful, and there are no complaints about them. I’m not sure we would return to this hotel or Estepona, it is lovely to experience Estepona but don’t think there would be much more to see if we returned. Also there are absolutely no shops any where near, the only thing is a petrol garage about 600 meters that sells snacks. ( left out of the front of the hotel) We met lovely people whilst here, Geoff1502 and his lovely wife and Paul and Carole. NOTE. We highly recommend a private transfer if you can afford. It takes about 2 and a half hours by travel operator coach and just over an hour by taxi or private transfer. People were picked up at 7.30 am by coach, we were picked up at 10 am by private transfer for the same flight.

My stay at the Elba Estepona Resort was truly exceptional, and it’s all thanks to the incredible team who went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. Noelia and Gloria provided outstanding service from start to finish. Noelia’s attention to detail and warm demeanour ensured we felt welcome and valued, while Gloria’s friendly and approachable attitude made every interaction delightful. Their combined efforts created a wonderful atmosphere that enhanced our stay. Special thanks to Claire, the acting manager, for her excellent follow-up service. She demonstrated genuine care and professionalism, addressing any queries promptly and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Her leadership was evident in the high standards maintained throughout the resort. Alvaro and the maintenance team were also fantastic, always willing to help and resolve any issues efficiently. Their dedication and kindness did not go unnoticed and made our stay even more comfortable. This team truly embodies the spirit of exceptional hospitality. I cannot thank them enough for their hard work and professionalism. Elba Estepona is fortunate to have such a dedicated group of individuals. I highly recommend this resort and look forward to returning.

Todo estupendo, instalaciones perfectas , cama cómoda, amplia terraza, cocina moderna. El personal muy amable y atento. Un 10

Pros: - 1) several really nice pool and pool areas. 2) it has one of the best hotel gyms I’ve seen. Well stocked, spacious (they have a prowler track) and air conditioned. 3) rooms were comfortable and relatively modern. 4) any servers we encountered seemed friendly and helpful. Cons: - 1) there is no water fountain or anywhere to get large bottles of drinkable water. They sell small bottles at the pool bar for about €5 a pop. The only other option is to cross a busy motorway to the local Lidl and carry back your weeks worth of bottled water. 2) no free beach towels (fines for not returning them). We found this petty and unnecessary. 3) the premises is absolutely vast and lifts frequently don’t work. You can cover long distances walking from your room to the restaurant or pool. 4) taxis and access generally: we waited 20 mins for a taxi into the centre. The hotel is not central. 5) check in and check out was very slow. 6) bathroom and shower are lethal. Insufficient bath mats and wet marble are an accident waiting to happen.

A one star hotel but in a great central location. Numerous cafes (for breakfast) and restaurants nearby with the Port a 25/30 minute stroll along the promenade. Be sure to call in at the Vice versa for the best tapas, Padron peppers and aubergine with honey and balsamic vinegar, just delicious. Really friendly reception staff, rooms cleaned every day, shower was good and things like soap and cups are replaced daily. No frills but valuables can be kept at reception and there's a hairdryer available on request. We had a great stay and, if you're just looking for a base in Estepona, I'm sure you will too.

Just returning from a 5 night relaxing break at this hotel. The pool is a fantastic feature with the water being a lovely temperature and in a natural setting. There are activities to be involved in during the day if you choose to - 4-7pm is when it gets the most liveliest. The hotel is very clean and the room was comfortable. We stayed all inclusive and definitely good value for money. If you like to dine in a quieter environment then I would advise an early sitting in the restaurant. We didn’t really venture outside of the hotel very often but there is a local beach about 1/2 an hour away (walking). If you’re looking for a chilled few days in beautiful sunshine I would most certainly recommend this hotel.

We read a lot of reviews before coming here which can/could be off putting, but we’re familiar with Estepona and have a hire car so location did not affect us, so booked and pleased we went this hotel. So this review captures some highs and lows but equally some people have been harsh and unfair in their reviews… Location - it is a few hundred metre from the A7 with all balcony’s facing that way, but neither during the day and certainly not at night, can you hear traffic or see it. Yes it’s a half mile walk to the neatest beach, but if you wanted beach you’ve chosen the wrong hotel. It’s a 10min drive to Estepona central, can’t tell you about buses but Uber could be used. Free parking locally or use their underground car park at cost. Rooms ~ good size rooms, double sink, shower and bath, fridge and tv with balcony’s over looking the pool or the local road, according to choice. Facilities- the hotel appears half full, so sun beds are not even remotely occupied until after 11am, mid afternoon they tend to be full and ideally could add a few more, instead of laying on the grass or sitting at the bar. Pool bar drinks are €3-5 average food can be expensive €13-16. Towel hire for the pool area. There is a reception area but the bar is closed and you need to use the pool bar. There is a clothes shop which opens at random hours. Spa- yet to use it personally but have some treatments lined up. But the area is very large and clean, with one of the best equipped gyms I’ve seen on holiday in Spain. Lift access and stair climbers for disabled people in all locations Breakfast - I’ve read food cold etc reviews, but I’ve had zero problems. Fresh produce, loads of choices and warm plates of bacon, sausage, beans etc, with a chef cooking fresh pancakes and omelettes Evening food - We’ve chosen the half board and maybe a slight mistake for 5 days as the menu does not change and there are 5 main, 5 starters and 5 deserts to choose from. The food is good quality and tasty and we’ve considered travelling to Estepona for an evening but driving or Uber also seems a chore. Drinks are a lot cheaper in the restaurant than the pool so don’t panic. The service in the area is fine but missing finesse, there are a few examples I’ve personally seen 1 a night broken glass not cleared up, split drinks apologised but not cleaned and missing cutlery that we ended up stealing from another table. Staff - all friendly, Marina FOH very relaxed and offering personal experience to your questions, the Portuguese chef from Watford and generally everyone polite and friendly. There is no evening entertainment and the vibe is some guest go out for the evening and those not, retire early. The pool bar is open, but I’ve yet to see anyone drinking at night there, so the place is lacking atmosphere. Summary- Hire a car or pay Uber to break up the days, this will end up a relaxing holiday where pool days are quiet, spa available and likely early nights.
