The White Horse Inn

We have just spent 3 nights in a Shepherds Hut, didnt know what to expect, but what a memorable experience we had. Beautiful inside, clean, cosy, tea/coffee making facilities, underfloor heating. Our hut was by the pond with lovely views of the countryside. There is a hot tub which is fired up with wood, of which there was plenty, later on we sat by the fire pit, well into the night. Very peaceful. Breakfast was included which we had in the hotel, delicious full English. One evening we had dinner there, food is very good, staff very friendly. Could not fault anything. We will definitely go back & stay in a hut again.

Shepards Hut. Cosy, private, lovely, refreshing. Secluded garden area, wood fired tub and an immaculately presented hut. A great stay in an immaculate hut. Food inside was excellent and the staff are brilliant. Good value and service. Worth a stay if you are in the area.

From arrival, the staff were so helpful and made you feel welcome. Our room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Expected road noise but it's lovely and quiet where the rooms are situated. The deal " Friday Breakaway" is one of the best around. The evening meal was very good and, again, the staff were so friendly and welcoming.

Just arrived home from a one night stay at one of the most beautiful places.... A Shepherd's hut. From start to finish it was a truly tranquil stay. We had dinner bed and breakfast.. Last night's dinner was lovely and our sleep was good too. We didn't use the hot tub but next time we will! We woke up to an amazing view of the pond and fields beyond. Breakfast was also very good and staff were friendly at all times which made us feel at home. We are definitely going back and looking forward to taking friends with us to enjoy the experience we had. Don't hesitate to go and you will feel a relaxed time. We had our Christmas lunch at the White Horse. The food was ecellant and high quality. The staff were fantastic and gave a great service with nothing being to much to ask. Will definitely be returning next year.

We had a two night stay in one of the shepherds huts , we stayed in Cedar. The huts are lovely with a fridge, kettle and a small stove that we cooked jacket potato in , may be a toaster and microwave would be be a nice addition . The huts were clean and very warm , we used the Japanese wood fired soak tub , easy to light the fire and keep it going ,ended up getting very hot , totally enjoyed it , the privacy is perfect , all done with a lot of thought and to height specifications was lovely to sit in the evening with a drink around the fire pit , an extra bounce breakfast in the pub was included in the stay extremely good breakfast , we eat in the pub on our first night good food at a fair price . A great week had .
