Traditional ' Old-Style Hotel' that needs updating. Stayed here for 4 days in October. The good news: The location is great for either Farmington or the Greater Hartford area since it's close to I-84 but not too close. Hotel has traditional look and furnishings, although the furnishings are worn and need refurbishing or replacement. The room was clean though. Bed was very comfortable. The rate was low, compared to others, but there are shortcomings: There's no elevator!!! I stayed on the second floor. I usually travel with just a carry-on bag and a laptop, but this time had extra luggage for an event I was going to. It was busy at the time, I didn't see any sign of bell service nor luggage racks (which wouldn't help me up the stairs) so I had to haul it. They should disclose this. The rate: As you check in you find out there's an additional fee of $ 10.00 per day they didn't disclose. Not a lot of money, it just feels slimy. The internet service is free but slow. The sink doesn't have a stopper in it. Breakfast is better than adequate, and they have a couple of items that are gluten free for those of us with that problem. Would I stay there again? Maybe. Depends on other hotels in the area's rates, length of stay; am I able to make due with my cell phone's hotspot which outperformed the free wi-fi service.

I’ve stayed in Marriot hotels for years. We stayed At this hotel for a funeral. Our room had an area of carpet soaked from a refrigerator leak. I reported it and they fixed the problem. Obviously still had a musty situation. We were staying in a adjoining door. I was awoken both nights by loud people In the adjoining room. You could hear conversation through the door. Both nights kept me up past 3am and was awoken at 6:30 am by dumpster pickup. Very frustrating. Management comped a $20 breakfast and seemed annoyed by my complaint. When you pay over $200 per night you expect a little better. We booked 4 rooms for family. We won’t be back.

The Hampton Inn in Farmington is lovely. It is clean, the staff is friendly, we felt safe during our stay, well lit parking, various breakfast options, although I would have liked to see non dairy milks for coffee/tea/cereal. Kudos to Jay at the front desk, he's professional, friendly and courteous. Thank you for a safe stay.

I have stayed here several times over the last few years and 3rd to 7th October 2023 I had 2 different rooms. Both were spotlessly clean, very comfortable, spacious (especially room 314 that is bigger than many one bed apartments) The front desk staff are welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Seriously lots of places could learn a lot from these guys and girls. The kitchens in the room are handy and there is ample storage. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom is provided with plenty of towels, face cloths and toiletries. I can only think of one way to improve the place and it would cost very little. It would be better if there were some outside seats, benches or picnic tables. There is loads of land around the hotel and this would be a welcome addition. Thanks
