We have just got back from the holiday of a lifetime at W Maldives; and a trip we will remember forever thanks to the incredible team at W! We would like to say a massive thank you and give a special shout out to Ben and Anna in the watersports team for arranging so many amazing trips for us and making sure we were so well looked after - we had the pleasure of watching dolphins at sunset, taking jet skis to a private island with our guide Harthim, diving with reef sharks and turtles and even a fishing trip with Najeeb and Afrah where you can eat the fish you catch in the restaurant that evening (thanks to celine for recommending how to have it cooked) our host Natalia even rescued my hat which blew into the ocean! Even if you don’t want to take any trips, the snorkelling around the island is phenomenal and not to be missed. We would also like to say thanks to Auwdi, who arranged a fantastic evening on the private yacht with sushi and champagne for our last evening - we will be talking about that night for a long time to come! We would also very highly recommend the away spa at W - it is possibly the most relaxing place on earth and I had a wonderful hot stone massage with Nancy followed by an outdoor bath overlooking the ocean! Lastly, we would also like to say thank you to Aroosh, Muhamin, Lonsi, Ajit and Muneeb who made sure our glasses were always full at the bar. For anyone thinking of visiting W Maldives, you will have the time of your life. The hotel is stunning, food is exceptional and the service is impeccable. We cannot recommend highly enough and we can’t wait to return. Thank you W :)

We went for a family vacation from end of Dezember to mid January and were happy in all possible ways! The whole Kandolhu team is super friendly and provide an amazing stay! With the 5 restaurants you have a wide variety of foods to try and to explore different tastes! Special hint: We absolutely fell in love with the „butter chicken“ at the market - you’ll not find it on the card and you have to pre-order it 24hrs. in advance but it will blow your mind! The island is extremely clean, you have many small & bigger sharks circling close the the shore or around the reef as well as at least 3 turtles and eagle rays! We stayed at a water bungalow and with their direct access to the ocean you get to see corals and fish close to your doorstep! Snorkling around the housreefs really is a blissful experience as the corals and marine life has recovered very well from it‘s previous bleaching! Diving with Chiara & Michael makes a lot of fun and you even get to see some dive sites only approached from Kandolhu with fishswarms and hard corals as far as you can see - it really was an amazing experience! Special thanks to Nasru, Kris, Elvira, Estella, Waan for their excellent service in the restaurants, Raghi for looking after us and ensuring that we liked the food, Chiara, Michael and the boat crew for providing such funny dives and their efforts on the boat, Gilbert and the lady at the bar which welcomed you always with a smile and provided fantastically, Immi, which was always there for you if you had any question and Monika & Giaume, as the hosts of the island they were always open for a chat, where making sure that if something was needed you would get it immediately - great effort by all the Kandolhu Team!

The Maldives vacation was wonderful! Excellent Origami Inn Guest House, excellent location near the beautiful bikini beach, cleanliness, delicious breakfasts and dinners. Excellent and responsive attitude of the staff and the owner. The owners of the hotel are a family, very nice, kind, friendly and hospitable people who speak English well. They helped me in everything, met me, saw me off - just wonderful people. Aziz solved any questions and requests. Aziz organized interesting excursions to another island for us and took us diving with turtles himself. It's like we're visiting a friend! We will be happy to come next time and advise our friends! My family and I stayed in the water bungalow and I have to say it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. The structure of the room and washrooms were amazing. All the staff members were super friendly and accommodated all our needs. They had customised water bottles for us as well as the resort is a no plastic zone. They had a turn down service as well and it was great to see a touch of Sri Lanka at the resort. The food was way too good. Every single thing I tried was amazing. There were enough and more options of food and drinks. I didn’t feel like I needed anything more.
