Das Villas Caroline ist ein Hotel zum Wohlfühlen! Mein Freund und ich verbrachten hier 2 Wochen. Es ist sehr zentral gelegen, in der Umgebung gibt es viele Restaurants (Mauritianische Küche, Italiener, Inder,…). Wir hatten lediglich das Frühstück gebucht, welches sehr umfangreich war (Crêpes, Brot, Früchte, Müsli, Omelette,…). Am besten hat uns der phänomenale Ausblick unseres Zimmers gefallen (Zimmer 345). Alle Zimmer haben Meerblick und eine Terrasse oder Balkon. Probleme mit dem Zimmer wurden direkt behoben. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen! Folgende Punkte waren zusätzlich positiv: - sehr freundliches Personal - Riff zum Schnorcheln direkt im Meer des Hotelstrands - Liegen am Strand und Pool - Pool - abwechslungsreiche Animation, sowie Billardtisch - Möglichkeit verschiedene Touren im Hotel zu buchen - Möglichkeit Auto zu mieten (33€ pro Tag) - Klimaanlage - Tauchschule neben Hotel Negative Punkte: - Hotel ist sehr auf französische Gäste ausgelegt - Badezimmer etwas älter, teilweise Schimmel

A thoroughly disappointing stay at Villa Caroline. The place and furnishings could do with some updating, but to the cleaners credit, the room was cleaned to a good standard. The food and menu could use some imagination and hygiene measures, there wasn’t a huge variety and flies were often seen hovering and landing on open food. The worst part of the whole stay is the activities staff and the overall vibe that only white visitors get attention. There is nothing whatsoever available for children, the “kids club” apparently hasn’t been running for quite some time. I enquired with one staff member named Andy, and questioned what there is on offer. I mentioned my child is 2 and he offered scrabble! He and the other activities person never once bothered to say hello or involve us in the group activities they would provide at dinner, but the whites always got lavished by them. Very strange behaviour. Would not recommend staying here if you are not white or have children.

We picked this hotel for the location and were not disappointed. Our room was literally one step away from the beach, it was spacious with good air conditioning and we enjoyed the seating outside. I am a pescatarian and found there was ample for me to eat and overall the food was good. We only had two issues in our two weeks at the hotel with one being lots of people smoking in the non smoking areas, this was not enforced by the staff at all even though there are signs in place, it took us to complain for the issue to be addressed, the other issue we had was with the beach towels, I asked at reception for two clean towels in the evening to be told the maid would change them the next day however I had to wait until the following evening for this to happen and that was after me having to ask twice more. Why this hotel doesn’t work on a towel card system I don’t know!

This is a small hotel compared to other hotels on the island. The rooms are old and can do with a upgrade, but it is still very nice . Lots of mosquitoes in December,but that is all over the island. The beach is super-large white sandy beach.More than enough loungers on the beach.The garden in front of the rooms are well maintained. Food was of a good standard.Entertainment in the evening. however we did not take part. Our room was nearby but there was no disturbance at all. Jumbo supermarket about 500 m from hotel, and lots of restaurants nearby.Also a lot of small shops nearby so you don t need to go to far for souvenirs .Most beautiful sunsets. Our 11th time in Mauritius-1st time in this hotel, but we will definitely be back December maybe on a bed and breakfast base to enjoy all the restaurants nearby. If you want to enjoy a peaceful holiday without to many people around you,even in December I will recommend this hotel. 1 Hour from the airport. The swimming pool is small but very nice to just drift in the water especially at sunset.. Some of the staff are very friendly.

These were our best holidays in family! We spent 11 nights in ALL IN early May 2023... do we dare to say too short?! The hotel was exactly what we look for during holidays: small hotel, with a top animation team, excellent food, all super friendly staff! The pool is not big but way enough, as we have the see just in front of the hotel. We never had any issues to find a spot at the pool (where the sunbeds are viewing to the see!) or at the beach! And wherever you stand, you are always close to the bar, where they serve nice cold drinks and cocktails! The location of the hotel is also perfect: very evening waiting for the amazing sunsets, snorkeling area like an aquarium! The food was very good, and we could have a different diner everyday. The rooms have all the view to the see and a nice terrace! They very clean, done every day! All staff members were always so kind and friendly, very polite, with a touch of fun! But this hotel review would not be complete without a word on the animation team (Kinsley, Jordan, Andy, Minnie and Cynthia)... They welcome you at your arrival, and they are present for you until your departure (they sang a so lovely music for us at the time to leave, we could have stayed so much longer). The animators are however not "too" present, they propose the activities (beach volley, aquagym, pétanque, etc) but are never too pushy! They were also present in the evenings, always very friendly, happy to share good moments and organizing great moments: Sega dance, singers, karaoke, etc. We were with our 13 year old son, who rapidly became "Le Mignon", and the team was so always wishing to feel well! We miss them a lot! Do we plan to come back?! YES, one day for sure!!!

What a great place, great food, nice position, lovely beach, comfy sunbeds. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and comfy, brilliant view of the sunsets from our balcony. They were doing a lot of works around the hotel to tidy it up as it did look a little tired in places but that just added the to local vibe and did not spoil the holiday in any way, would definitely recommend.

When we arrived ,told room not ready & moved to another hotel ,it was dia so phoned tui in London taken back to villa Carolina next day couldn’t have done enough for us ,we were up graded in room & fully inclusive, staff very friendly & helpful especially Andy ,Minnie & her baby brother from animation , food bit hit & miss but ok , only critic is seemed to be over helpful & bowed down to the French who came across rude & entitled more important than any other guest ,building on going ,great improvement planting more plants ,there was entertainment which good most nights, star rating should be increased,when room’s brought up to high spec, even painting would help ,as for comments about racism we found it untrue as they have avery diverse staff who we found respectful to everyone no matter creed or colour ,good hotel worth visiting ,enjoy

Unfriendly reception and staff at the bar without any know-how in making cocktails. Good breakfast with lovely waiters and cooks, who bring everything you ask for even if it is not on the buffet. Dinner for 40,-€ is much overprized. Nice rooms, but old matraces and furniture is old.
