The staff were super nice, and helpful. And the view from the rooftop was also nice! The room was just a little bit bothersome since it was next to the boiler.

Where to start! We got there,went up the lift which was old,rickety and full of dust,it banged going up,like the “tower of terror “ ride in the Disney park. We got in our first room straight outside reception,not much room at all then she moved us to the 4th floor to a room with a bedroom upstairs on 2 floors,which we thought would be better! Absolutely not,the toilet was tiny,you couldn’t even sit on the toilet without having the door open. You had to step over the toilet to get in the shower which just spit out water all over the place then the bedroom was up a plank of stairs which would not have passed health & safety back in the uk. Tv was not working either which just added to the problems. Also on checking out we had to lug our suitcases down 4 flights of steps as the lift had packed in,all in all a terrible hotel which I would recommend to my worst enemy!

Not a fan of this place. I don't know how I did it but I thought I was booking at there real hotel. My mistake. But this isn't a "hotel". It's a couple of rooms in an apartment building. Very expensive as well. The Rooftop had no shade so if you go up there during the day you just bake if its hot out, and it was, Shower was WAY to small even for Italy. The frame was held together by tape. Room size was ok as far as Italy goes but the bathroom and shower were a shoebox. The front desk girl was very helpful and could not be nicer but my advice would be to look elsewhere.

The pictures look better than the establishment and the rooms. Additionally, 1. There was a constant faint to moderate unpleasant odor in the rooms and throughout the hotel. 2. No front desk after hours. 3. Elevator bounces on certain floors. On the positive note, room service was good, and location was convenient. That said, would not return to this hotel.

We stayed here for 6 nights over Valentine’s Day and were pleasantly surprised, we were on a budget and this accommodation was the most affordable in the city centre. We were worried after reading so many negative reviews but we had nothing bad to say about here at all! We stayed in a classic double room with a spacious bathroom and a large window. Everything worked and the TV came with Netflix, YouTube and Amazon prime. The rooftop was lovely and we spent most evenings up there drinking wine looking at the lovely view of the duomo, I’m not sure why it was previously described by others as a ‘death trap’, the steps were quite steep but that’s about it. It’s very high up but there are railings all the way around, we felt very safe. Our room was very clean and the receptionists were lovely, they were able to assist with any request we had and always asked us how we were/how our day was. It is less than a 10 minute walk from the Duomo and about 15/20 minutes from the tram/train station. If we stayed in Florence again, we would definitely stay here again.

THEY DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE EMAILS! We booked 2 nights at this accommodation, and I informed the property twice that we will not be checking in at 3pm but we will be checking in early next morning as we want a place for luggage. When we arrived our PAID room had been given to someone else, We had a tour booked in which we missed due to the hotel messing us around by giving our paid room to someone else. When we finally got given a room, it was terrible, extremely small, we had to climb a very steep 'ladder like' stairs to get to our bed. The toilet was right in front of the shower door, virtually had to step over the toilet to have a shower. I have requested a refund, as they acknowledged they had received my email stating we will check in the early the next morning. I was told by reception on check out to email to receive a refund. I have emailed this property 3 more times since leaving as I have not yet received a refund. Do not book this place!

Without doubt the worst place I've ever stayed! Do not trust the images - the main one they show you on some sites of a facade of a beautiful nearby 4 star hotel (you just pick up your keys here)... this place I would give 1 star. I simply cannot believe we paid €130 a night (incl city tax) for this horrible experience. The bed headboard was so dirty and worn that the leather was flaking with mold starting to reveal itself and they attempted to hide this by tucking two thin strips of cheap fabric over it. The balcony was a filthy boiler room and the bathroom had construction materials thick with dust. The window didn't open and walls were scuffed and in real need of a fresh lick of paint. We refused to stay in that room so they stuck us in a tiny store room that barely fitted the beds right beside reception (which is just a deck squeezed into a corridor btw so we heard every phone call in the morning). *********** refused to help us, the 4* hotel refused to help us and the main owners promised to call us and never did. Rooftop is tiny and so many people are sharing it. All I can say to be unbias is that it is a good location and had a friendly receptionist but quite frankly I wouldn't even stay here again if you paid me.

I booked for an economy double room. The reservation included a queen size bed and bathroom inside the room. However, the receptionist gave us a very narrow side room with two single beds.(see first picture) Even the room didn't have a bathroom, so I had to use the bathroom in the hallway. The pictures in hotel reservation applications(agoda, ***********, etc…)is very different from reality. It was unbelievable that it was a 4-star hotel. The receptionist said that we must sleep in this tiny room on the first day and change the room the next day. When I double-checked this, the staff changed her words saying that we should stay here for 3 nights. When I protested by showing the hotel reservation voucher to the staff, she only repeated that it was because there was a problem with the room that was originally scheduled to be provided. When I strongly protested that I was provided with a room different from the reservation, she promised to stay 1 night at hotel California(the hotel having connection with this hotel) and upgrade the room when I returned the next day. However, they did not upgrade the room the next day and provided a dirty economic double room.(see second picture) This 4 star hotel is worse than cheap motels in Korea. Recommend to stay at another hotel. 이코노미 더블 룸으로 예약함. 해당 예약에는 퀸사이즈 침대와 화장실이 포함되어 있었음. 하지만 리셉션의 직원은 우리에게 싱글 침대 두개가 길게 놓여있는 아주 좁은 쪽방을 제공함. 심지어 해당 방에는 화장실도 없어서 복도의 화장실을 이용해야했음.(첫번째 사진 참고) 아고다, 부킹닷컴의 해당 호텔 소개 사진은 믿지 말아야 함. 실제와 매우 다름. 4성급 호텔이라는 사실이 믿기지 않을 정도로 별로였음. 리셉션 직원은 해당 쪽방을 안내해주며 첫날 하루 이 방에서 자고, 다음날 방을 바꿔준다고 말함. 내가 이에대해 더블체크하자 직원은 3박을 여기서 머물러야한다고 말을 바꿈. 직원에게 호텔 예약 바우처를 보여주며 항의하자 원래 제공되기로 예정되어있던 방에 문제가 생겨서 그랬다는 말만 반복함. 예약 내용과 다른 방을 제공한 것에 대해서 강하게 항의하자 비슷한 수준의 다른 호텔에서 하루 묵고, 다음날 돌아오면 방을 업그레이드 해주기로 약속함. 하지만 다음날 방을 업그레이드 해주지 않았으며 지저분한 이코노믹 더블 룸을 제공함.(두번째 사진 참고) 이에 대해 호텔이 인종차별을 하는거거나, 아니면 호텔이 고객을 상대로 사기를 치는거라고밖에는 생각할 수 없었음. 이 4성급 호텔은 한국의 싸구려 모텔보다 열악함. 다른 호텔에서 묵을 것을 추천함.

Possible the worst hotel room I have ever seen. do not stay here it not only a danger to your health as the stairs to you bed are very steep and lethal.the toilet is a chemical one and you have to step over the toilet to get in the shower.we asked to move rooms but this was just as bad.manager at sister hotel was very angry and refused to help leaving no option but to move to other hotel at our cost

After reading the many good reviews in *********** and at the same time the partly miserable reviews in Tripadvisor, I was curious what to expect. In short, we were very pleased. The 4th floor, the corridor, the kitchen located at the end of the corridor, as well as our room 424 were renovated a few years ago. The room has a shower with glass doors, which we consider a real comfort compared to a bathtub. In the bedroom we had a comfortable, modern double bed and a large sofa bed. Air conditioning, TV and fridge are also provided. The small lift, which is getting on in years, worked perfectly and without jerks. The receptionist and also the staff in the nearby hotel are very accommodating. When we arrived too early and the key was not ready, we were offered free drinks. There was also a pack of dark chocolate eggs in the room as a small welcome gift. The central location to the sights, the market and the restaurants is sensational. The hotel reception organised a taxi for our departure. Of course there is always room for improvement. The toilet seat fastening needs to be repaired. The bathroom curtains should be washed or replaced. The oversized coffee machine in the kitchen should be removed because it consumes a lot of energy and heats the whole corridor. It also makes quite a lot of noise, only gives lukewarm brew and there was no milk in it either. An instruction manual for the air conditioner would be desirable. A little tip: Type in the temperature on the remote control, switch off the air conditioner via remote control and then switch it on again so that the entered change is applied. However, these are minor issues that did not impair our stay.
