Clean, simple and comfortable rooms in the heart of the ancient city center. The location is super. The rooms are small but equipped with all comforts. The staff is friendly and professional. Very good quality-price ratio. However, you need to know that you have to pay to park your car,at this hotel as everywhere here in Florence, and it doesn't come cheap: 50 euros a day!

This is a family hotel in the centre of Florence, close to Arno's river, Florence's historical center and last but not least all fashion streets. This hotel is located at the second floor of an ancient and historical building. The area nearby is rich of pubs and restaurants. The way of running this hotel is smooth, polite and customer-oriented indeed! This hotel is price per value because I spent € 53,10 per night with breakfast. By the way, I had a cup of Italian expresso and some pieces of pies during breakfast. The room was clean and well furnished by ancient furniture. One small defect only, small bathroom in my room. Nobody is perfect...

We had a great stay at ByPillow Goldoni. From the very friendly and helpful staff to the all-new amenities, we were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We arrived 4 hours before check in time and we were absolutely exhausted and needed sleep. Staff was very understanding and helpful and gave us a room that was available right then. It was quite an upgrade as well! Everything in the room is new, clean and very comfortable. Hairdryer, vertical steamer, mini fridge, everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Location is also fantastic, about 10-15 min away by foot from most landmarks in the city centre. I highly recomand this hotel, we had a fantastic stay. Great value!

I read all the mixed reviews, and wondered, "Why in the world had we reserved a room here?" We are glad we did. This is a charming hotel, off the ground floor via an ancient elevator (lift). The location was great. A 10 minute walk from the train station with our wheeled carry-on suitcases. A half-block from the Arno. Our room overlooked the street, but the double pane windows cut the street noise. Spotlessly clean room. The desk staff was very helpful and friendly. After a long, long day of sightseeing, an evening walking tour and dinner, we tired folk went back to the Hotel, where the front desk clerk served a bottle of wine in the lovely breakfast room. A quiet way to slow down, remember we are on vacation (not running a marathon), and finish our day.

I can not agree with the comment regarding a flawed establishment. If you are not afraid of walking, yes the hotel is walking distance from the station, and also walking distance from all the sights..if you want to experience Florence ...go by foot..Simone and the rest of the staff were so friendly , helpfull and we even shared some jokes . You do have free wifi in the dining room and we even had our "take away" dinner in the dining room one evening.Rooms were clean and we had no problems with the temperature in the room. They organised a day trip for us to Lucca and Pisa and it was most enjoyable...they also arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport as it was pouring with rain . I can only give good comments about this experience in Hotel Goldoni, and as I stayed in Italy for 35 days I surely think I can give objective remarks!

This is a great hotel for the price. i traveled with my two daughters ages 22 and 26. The hotel is conveniently located walking distance to almost everything in Florence you would like to go to. The staff made appointments for us at the Academia with a smile and were most gracious. The hotel is located on the 4h floor so you need to know you will ride the "lift" to the reception floor. The rooms were adequete and most important the were cool when we returned from a hot day of sightseeing. I would recommend this hotel if you are not looking for the extras. Great choice!

There is no way this hotel should have 3 stars. It is very small, with no faciliies. The bathroom seemed to have been lifted out of the 1970's and the staff were not at all friendly. I felt it was more of a hostel than a hotel.

When you arrive the entry staircase is a bit of a shock because the Hotel lives on the second floor but you get used to it. The Goldoni is a pleasant proprietor run hotel, he keeps a low profile with the consequent lack of attention to detail, though the staff were helpful when asked. Considering Florence is an expensive place to be the hotel was reasonable value and well situated. My wife and I stayed for six nights and for that duration the room was far too small and stuffy. I would go back (but only to a bigger room) and suggest you give it a try but beware of the "zanzaris" and perhaps the addition of some fruit would avoid me callling the breakfast PDB (pure dead boring).
