This was an awesome stay. No complains at all and the breakfast was solid

This is a great facility because of the team members and location. The in-process renovations will only make it better. Check-in was easy and friendly. My renovated room was nice. Housekeeping needs to do some fine tuning. The shower stall is a bit narrow. My jacket size is 44/46, but it was a difficult turning around in the shower. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

This hotel has just gone through a major renovation and the end result is outstanding. I was here earlier this year when they were in the middle of renovation and even though I was put out by the lack of the gym and restaurant, it was still a very comfortable stay. The amenities that they have incorporated into the hotel now, the restaurant, a bigger and more expansive gym, and a wonderful lobby with a comfortable seating area is wonderful not only for the solo traveler like myself, but also for families. I would highly recommend this location for families that are traveling, people that are traveling for business and people that just want to get away for the weekend.

CHECK YOU CREDIT CARD CHARGES. We were charged over $200 for someone else’s dinner. I had to fight the staff to get it back and instead of refunding me they charged it again on my credit card. I had to ask for points as a courtesy and they only gave me 10k which does nothing. Completely incompetent staff. So beware of charges that might not be yours.

Courtyards tend to be consistent so I don’t typically comment unless there’s something interesting or unfavorable to share. I had a two night stay at this property. Overall, it was clean, the front desk staff was helpful and friendly, and the room was recently renovated. The pros: newly renovated, friendly, helpful, front desk, staff, and essentially what you would expect from a courtyard. There’s plenty of parking but we couldn’t find any doors from the parking lot into the hotel at least where we parked so it was an inconvenience as there were downpours during our stay. The cons: the toilets are so low they’re practically on the ground no joke, so seniors and others with limited mobility are going to struggle. There’s about a 4 inch gap between the bathroom vanity and a short wall next to the toilet. If anything falls in that gap it’s very difficult to retrieve. The lighting in the room and bathroom is harsh, all the fixtures have the cold blue very white light. The water pressure in the sink and shower wasn’t good. Be advised: they offer breakfast, but it’s ala cart not included in the room rate, and the room is serviced every two days not daily. we recommend Jake’s diner for breakfast, just a few miles from the hotel. It’s a local place with friendly service…not fancy but very good.

Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Parking inconvenient. All parking is in the back, but you can only enter hotel in the front. If it's raining, you better have an umbrella. Poor lighting in room. Takes a LONG time for water to heat and water pressure in shower is very low. Staff does not smile and seems to be annoyed when you ask them something. Will not stay here again.

Our small nonprofit organization just held our convention at the Marlborough Marriott. Boy was that a huge mistake. Our members, who are low-income and disabled people, were treated to an atrocious experience. At least twelve reservations were lost. In two cases, four unrelated people were sent to one room that had only one bed. The power went out in one room twice, leaving an elderly woman in the dark. Another woman had to sleep in her wheelchair because the manager lost all our accessibility requests when she misplaced her notebook. As all this unfolded, our staff had to calm down the attendees, who were understandably upset, and help sort out the check-in mess. The stress level was through the roof and several of our participants left early as a result. We requested a very modest refund to make up for this very large inconvenience. Not only did they refuse us, they insulted us and our behavior in their written reply. I don’t think the Marlborough Marriott understands customer service, the reservation process, or anything about hospitality. Unless you enjoy being stressed out and scolded, hold your event somewhere else.

The hotel is under some seriuous renovations right now (80% of lobby taped off). No fitness center, elevators take forever because only 1 was working. Stairwell was completely exposed. Construction workers everywhere. Not sure how they kept this hotel open given it seems more of a safety hazard to have guests around so much construction. Advice to stay elsewhere until hotel is renovated.

Stayed there two nights in February for work. Was not offered folio on check out. Credit card bill arrived following month – there was over $200.00 in restaurant charges. Called the front desk was told I would get a call back. No Return call so two days later I had to call back – was told I would get a call back. Jennifer called me back – the bar had charged someone else’s meal to my room. Jennifer told me I would be refunded as soon as I completed the form. Asked how I would be compensated – was told that “miscommunication occur” and they would give me 5k points. No apology for the inconvenience. Checked my account the points didn't arrive. Call and leave voice mail for General Manager – Kevin Buchanon. No response from him - emailed again. The assistant manager April called me back – General Manager too busy. Explained situation – she told me that they would credit me 10K loyalty points. Next monthly bill comes – NO REFUND BUT THEY HAVE CHARGED ME AGAIN $200+. Emailed April – she fixed it – I asked for additional points for compensation and this was her response: Hi XXXX, I have already processed 10,000 points which is equivalent to $50 in compensation, I think that is fair for an honest mistake. Yours in Hospitality, April Lee Assistant General Manager This was not an honest mistake – this was incompetence all the way through – from the first charge – the General Manager not even acknowledging my complaint personally to the miserable 10K points.
