Found this place via Google and booked a room for family. Goggle AND this place own booking website BOTH said it was pet friendly. It was NOT! Had been traveling area all day with expectation to stay night and see rest of Hadrien's Wall next day. Went to check in at 8 pm (expected time) to be told they don't accept pets. Only other pet friendly accommodations available within an hour drive were £400+. Unwilling to spend that much, so ended up driving 4 hours to go home. As we were charged for room at booking (the day prior) and it was after the cancelation period, I am now fighting for a refund. When I talked to owner he was very abrupt and short, only saying to take up with the booking site and/or Google. Yet the booking website states it's the owners responsibility if anything about booking is incorrect, they are only responsible for transfer of £.
