We stayed 5 nights in one of the 4 deluxe suites in the renovated building. The A frame slant to the roof over the bed and work area made for many a head bump. Amenities normally associated with a 4 star hotel that were missing: 1. No safe 2. No kettle to heat water 3. No coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, spoons , wooden sticks to stir the coffee 4. No refrigerator 5. No shelf in the shower to place anything. Whatever you bring personally goes on the floor of the shower. 6.No ice bucket 7. Housekeeping never dusted the furniture nor cleaned the bathroom floor. They were great at making the bed and providing towels 8. No washcloth. Most European hotels do not provide one. The intl chains do so 9. Limited space to store clothes and bags 10. No plug in the sink for one to wash delicate items 11 No fitness center On the positive side: I asked for and eventually received a a kettle and two cups with 4 tea bags and 4 sugars. We went to the store and purchased coffee and creamer for 5 days. The food was excellent but very pricey There was a double sink in bathroom I went down to the Bistro and requested one of the few ice buckets for the duration of the stay and received one which we were able to fill every night at the Bistro. Jesper at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with and very supportive in helping us get a van to the CPH airport. He was also informative about events in the area. The front desk staff and wait staff were very nice. Walking distance to the few shops, grocery store and restaurants in the tiny shopping area. Value for the the USD: Not much as everything was very expensive even with the present strength of US dollar Location Great if you have a car or want to take a bus to another town to find a restaurant. Also great if you want to see the Queens summer residence and gardens as they are a very short walk form the hotel This is not a true 4 star hotel by any standard I know of and we travel all over Europe Summary: I am certain we will not return.
