Rössli Hurden

The best hotel on the lake. Our umpteenth visit because it has the best views of the lake and is so quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful, with nothing too much for them. Wonderful stroll on the boardwalk into delightful Rapperswil, where the wild birds and fish you will see will delight, alongside the lake and mountain vista. Thanks to Eva, Katia and the team who probably are the hardest working team you will find. The restaurant, where we ate twice, is excellent, and we've written a separate review for it.

Our fifth visit and superb. Excellent room, very clean, views of Lake Zurich of course, superb restaurant food, great walking distance access to the beautiful city of Rapperswil and super service. Many thanks to Anna Mora, Catalina Zechner, Loredana Bernado, Romain and Gunther, for making our stay so wonderful - nothing was too much for them and they made us feel very welcome. We will be back. The service and food at this restaurant is first class. My husband and I enjoyed every moment from appetizer to dessert and the view is unbeatable. Not to mention that I have Celiac disease and cannot eat gluten. Our waiter knew what I could and couldn't eat and assured me I would be happy with my meal. Stop by for lunch or dinner (especially on a sunny, warm day) and you will not be disappointed.

My friend and I stopped by the Rössli at 18:00 yesterday to round off a very pleasant afternoon in Rapperswil with a quick aperitif before heading home. On the terrace were only 6 people and many tables were not yet set for dinner. The waiter told us because we had not reserved there was no availability. 20 free tables?? We only wanted to stay for about half an hour. Quite honestly he gave me the impression he could not be bothered so we were very disappointed with the hospitality shown. We certainly won’t be coming back another time.

Went for a lazy Saturday lunch to the restaurant. Relatively pricey, was really keen on not missing out on the local fish in beer batter this season so ordered that. Waiter suggested I go for pommes alumettes (matchstick fries) which I love, so agreed. My friend ordered the famous Zürigeschnetzeltes with Rösti. The food arrived in 5 minutes flat and I had 5 tiny pieces of fish for the princely sum of 42 swiss francs. I felt cheated, this food was clearly pre-prepared else there is no way it could arrive that fast. The matchstick fries were just thin french fries and not piping hot. None of the food was actually. And the Moscato wine I ordered which should have been chilled to really enjoy it was nowhere near the right temperature. Icing on the cake was that they accepted only cash. I mean in Covid times, when the world has switched to contactless payment and even encourage it, we had the waiter telling us cash only please. What would have happened if I had not cashed up at the last minute? There is no mention of this on their website nor were we told when being seated because then we might have gone somewhere else. Which would have actually been much better on second thoughts. The only saving grace was the peace and quiet and the exceptionally gorgeous view. But a very high price to pay for those things when they are certainly available elsewhere with less attitude and at a cheaper price. Very measly portion too by the way. All in all, I would hesitate to return.

I had been in such a long time that I did not go to a place as wonderful as the Hotel Restaurant Rössli, a beauty that speaks for itself, accompanied by quality, service, dedication, attention and above all the nature and charisma of each of its employees. without a doubt, a romantic and cozy space, fully equipped and beautiful rooms, with extreme cleanliness and care. Exquisite food and dinner, with a natural flavor and touch, which can only be found in this place. the truth is I am totally delighted with this piece of heaven that is Rössli. Thank you very much for the attention to me to Mr. Dave, Mr. Günther and Mrs. Petra, each of them very dedicated to their work, giving their best with quality, experience, professionalism and dedication to each guest, they deserve a 10 / 10 and I hope they continue to grow in their great and wonderful vocation of service. To all my followers, I advise you to visit this paradise, you will not regret it.

Sehr großzügig erhielt ich einen Zimmer-upgrade, weil meine ursprüngliche Buchung nicht ganz geklappt hatte. So genoss ich zum Preis eines Standard-Einzelzimmers eine Junior-Suite mit eigenem Balkon und toller See- und Bergsicht. Super unbürokratische Lösung des Problems. Ich konnte die zwei Tage völlig entspannt so richtig geniessen. Danke viel Mal👍

Das Hotel selbst hat die besten Tage gesehen, ist aber trotzdem empfehlenswert. Obwohl die Ausstattung der Zimmer und der Infrastruktur ein Update benötigen, kann das Hotel und das dazugehörigen Restaurant empfohlen werden. Das Personal war so ungemein freundlich und zuvorkommend, wie wir es selten erlebt haben. Dieses Unterkunft lebt vom Personal, dass sein Bestes tut, damit man sich willkommen und wohl fühlt. Das Essen und die Bedienung im Restaurant waren vorzüglich! Restaurant unbedingt besuchen! Die Lage des Hauses ist sowieso sensationell.
