Amazing experience!
Our first stay in this area has been perfect (even tho we didn't really get to see Mt.Fuji in full glory). We hotel staff are all extremely nice and polite, the food buffet is delicious (especially sushi and beef steak) + there's a wide selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.
My first onsen visit was very relaxing and not scary at all - with 4 pools you can have a bit of privacy. The visual of hot steam against the dark sky will remain in my memory for a long time.
The hotel offers transportation to and from station, or you can just walk there in like 10 mins. The location of the hotel is super - the buses stop just outside of the hotel and you can walk to some attractions (appare boat, Herb museum etc.)

This is so far the best experience I had in Japan, the bell boy was waiting for us in front of the hotel.
We were specifically arrange a private room for our dinner and breakfast, unfortunately due to fogging we were unable to see Mt. Fuji during breakfast.
The in-room onsen was really fantastic with Mt. Fuji view.

Location: Minutes away from Gem museum if you are taking the red line bus. It's located right beside the kawaguchi lake.
Room: Very very big room enough to lay 5 futon if require. Furniture looks dated but functional and the room is kept very clean and tidy. Needs a physical key to access the room though. Has view of Kawaguchi lake and Mount Fuji by the window. That itself is already worth the money paid for.
Food: Booked the room with Dinner and breakfast included and I would recommend anyone that books the place to do so as well, very sumptuous spread and delicious too.
There is onsen within the hotel too with indoor and outdoor pool. Highly recommended for anyone considering a hotel in kawaguchi.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights and had already informed the receptionist when we checked in that two friends would come visit on the next day where they stayed in another hotel closer to FujiQ. When our friends came, one of their staff blocked our way and accusing us that we had more people staying than we booked in an unfriendly, rude and arrogant manner as if he was a cop and caught us did something bad. We explained to him in both English and Japanese translation that our friends were just here visiting. We showed him their other hotel booking confirmation but he said no guests were allowed to come visit in any hotel and this is their some Japan hotels authority’s rule! We asked him proof of such rules which of course there isn’t any. No proper apologies and poor attitude remains from that staff. Very bad experience with the staff here. Other than that, the hotel property and facilities were great.

Great Location but Disappointing Food
The location of this hotel is fantastic, with Mount Fuji visible right from the window – truly a breathtaking view! The staff are well-trained and provide excellent service, which we really appreciated.
However, the room was outdated, and the tatami floor was dusty, which could be an issue for those with dust allergies. The onsen was decent, nothing exceptional but good enough for a relaxing soak.
The biggest letdown was the food. We booked the half-board option, but the meals felt like they came from a school cafeteria despite their beautiful presentation. The taste was unbalanced, with dishes being either too sweet, too sour, or too salty, lacking the harmony typically found in Japanese cuisine. Both dinner and breakfast were disappointing.
If you stay here, I recommend enjoying the location and service but skipping the meal plan.

An absolute gorgeous experience.
The facilities, staff, dinners and tranquility is exceptional. I highly recommend having the private bath reserved (book it while you're there) as the views and atmosphere are even better than the main baths on the 1st floor.
We came here for our honeymoon and I had wanted one thing during our time in Kawaguchiko; to see Mt Fuji from across a lake, while enjoying tea in a Japanese room. The weather covered the mountain for almost the entire stay, except once - and it was a fantastic sight to see in person.
If you visit during November, there will be more tourists. This is due to the Fall festivals taking place, and there is a large selection of stalls and markets in the area to enjoy. Furthermore, Fall has an effect on the local environment that is truly beautiful.
The only disappointing thing about our stay was that we stayed for two nights and wish we had booked longer!
I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Kali ini saya datang ke Tasik Kawaguchi pada penghujung Februari Pada masa ini, perbezaan suhu antara siang dan malam adalah agak besar dan tidak stabil, jadi ia berlaku salji pada malam pertama Walaupun saya gembira untuk berseronok benar-benar berbeza apabila saya melihat ke kejauhan saya bimbang sebelum kami tiba di Gunung Fuji Mujurlah, cuaca berubah sangat baik pada pagi berikutnya.
Di samping itu, halaman hotel juga dihiasi dengan sangat baik Anda juga boleh melihat Gunung Fuji dari tempat sarapan Terdapat dek pemerhatian dalaman di tingkat atas di mana anda boleh melihat persekitaran berhampiran hotel 360 darjah.
Ruang bilik sangat mencukupi dan kebersihannya bagus Walaupun rumah mandian tidak dapat melihat Gunung Fuji, ia mempunyai dua kolam renang dalaman dan luaran, dan keselesaannya baik.
Restoran berhampiran hotel agak jauh, tetapi hotel ini mempunyai perkhidmatan sewa basikal. Anda boleh meminjamnya dari kaunter penerimaan tetamu jika perlu.

Very Good value for money! With welcome drinks (juice & house wines) & snacks. Fusion fine dining dinner mixed with Japanese & western style, decent presentation & taste good. Cozy room setting with high quality drinks ware. Due to bad weather, we didn’t use the outdoor bath tub but we believe that it should have the FJ Mountain view. The 5 different hot-spring private rooms are special, no reservation is required & we tried the hot stone chair & felt good! The hot-spring section also provides to ice lolly & drinks. Buffet as the Morning breakfast with variety of foods but only serve till to 9:15am. Hotel pack up service with several time slots & operated on time.

AAutumnLeafThis is by far the best hotel I've stayed in Japan. Hospitality, cleanliness and food were perfect. Best value for a all-inclusive onsen resort by the lake.
Staff were friendly and attentive. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we felt welcomed and well taken care of during our stay. They received us from the carpark and got our baggage for us. When we left, they made sure to carry our luggage to the car.
Rooms and the guest onsen were clean, big and spacious, with propery air-conditioning and heating. It also has a good view of mount Fuji from the room balcony (though unfortunately it was raining for the 2 days which I was there)
The food was amazing as well, there were so many choices and we were left stuffed after both dinner and breakfast.
Would highly recommend anyone this all inclusive hotel if you have the chance.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is nestled in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area. We stayed 3 nights in a room facing the lake with a magnificent view of Fuji-san. A van provides shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station. The restaurant is not operational hence we either ate outside or bought food back from Lawson/7-11. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and there were Mandarin-speaking staff. We miss it very much even though we are now in Hoshino Amoriya, which speaks a lot about the Kumonoue Fuji!

Hotel also provided extra pillow if you needed. There is only one pond in public bath for male room. And one for female room. The clenliness is acceptable. Breakfast is not variety choices but good quality. The car parking is available in front and at the back of the hotel.

And one more thing to mention is: I would like to sincerely apologize for missing the scheduled check-in time. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was delayed, and unfortunately, the hotel staff had to wait for me for two hours. I deeply regret any inconvenience caused and appreciate the staff’s patience and understanding in accommodating my late arrival.

SSRL13064We used the payphone at the train station to call the resort and they arranged a pick up service for us. It arrived within 15 minutes of the call so we didn’t have to wait too long in the cold. It would be better if they could let us know about this arrangement in the booking confirmation.
Driver who picked us up was a delight to meet! He was cheerful, coupled with his humorous mannerism, brightened up the otherwise gloomy journey amidst the cold.
Location of the resort is quite far away. Although there was a 7-11 within 10 minutes of walking, the nearest shopping cluster was 20 minutes away, although this shopping cluster is quite a complete one with a full pharmacy, supermarket and plenty of food options, ranging from cheap to exquisite. The resort is 30 minutes walk (15 minutes drive) away from Kawaguchiko station. The location will be more convenient for travelers who drive.
We woke up with a direct view of Fuji-San! Absolutely breath taking.
Breakfast, served buffet-style was sumptuous with Japanese food. It filled us up and got us ready for the day.
Upon check out, we realized we had to book the shuttle bus to the train station. We thought it would be readily available. This was not the case as the bus at the previous timings were full. This could have been made known to us upon check in. Also, the shuttle bus is actually a 7-seater car and not a bus. Maybe right-naming the vehicle is better as it will give travelers a better understanding the capacity of the transport.

PPengguna TetamuAmazing ryokan. Friendly staffs & they spoke good English. Located right by the lake and you get amazing view from one of the onsen(there are two, one for men & women). A little bit old but the rooms, lobby, hallways & elevator are clean & well maintained. Highly recommended!

PPengguna TetamuExcellent location, just a few minutes walk from Kawaguchiko Station. The room was spacious with a tatami bed and a bunk bed, it can comfortably sleep 3 people. There is also an air purifier in the room. The bathroom and toilet are shared, they are spotless.

LLawrenceKami perlu menaiki bas laluan Merah (R) dari stesen fujikawaguichiko dan berhenti di hadapan hotel, tetapi tangkapannya adalah jika anda membawa bagasi, harap untuk menyeret jalan pendek menanjak ke hotel kerana ia terletak di sebelah stesen Ropeway . Walaupun meja depan (bukan tempatan) kelihatan agak bagus, tetapi bukan juga kehangatan. Saya rasa terdapat banyak sekatan (Tidak), dan dia cuba menerangkan dengan tekun.. saya rasa peraturan dan polisi hotel adalah pelik berbanding banyak hotel yang saya tinggal di dalam Asia/dunia. walaupun ia mendapat pampasan dengan pemandangan indah tasik kawaguichiko. Pilihan sarapan pagi tidak banyak, tetapi semakin asing untuk memakai sarung tangan untuk mengambil makanan setiap kali, walaupun ada yang cenderung lupa semasa mendapatkan hidangan kedua.. ia bukan era covid, dan pastinya banyak cara untuk menangani SOP pengendalian kebersihan ..
